Flood Estimation Using MAPLE Forecasted Precipitation Data (MAPLE 강우예보자료를 활용한 유출량 예측)

  • 지구온난화와 기후변화의 영향으로 전 지구적으로 이상홍수, 이상가뭄, 한파와 같은 이상기상 현상이 빈번하게 발생하고 있다. 국내에서는 2010년 추석 광화문 침수사태와 2011년 우면산 산사태와 같은 국지성 집중호우로 인한 인적 물적 피해가 속출하고 있다. 전통적으로 시기나 양적인 측면에서 대부분 장마기간에 국한되었던 강우집중현상이 과거와 달리 특정기간에 상관없이 발생하고 단기성, 국지성을 지닌 호우의 발생빈도가 높아지는 등 국내 강우의 특성이 변하고 있다. 이러한 변화에 대응하기 위해서 강우예측과 유출량예측의 정확도를 높이기 위한 시도가 다양하게 이루어지고 있다. 강우예측의 정확성을 높이기 위해 기상청에서는 단기예보를 목적으로 전지구 통합모델과 지역 통합모델을 연계한 동네예보를 수행하고 있으며, 초단기 예보를 위한 목적으로 VSRF, SCAN, VDRAS, MAPLE 등의 예보를 수행하고 있다. 홍수량 예측에서는 일반적으로 사용하고 있는 물리적 기반의 모형에 레이더강우와 같은 격자형 강우자료를 사용하여 정확성을 높이거나, 기존의 집중형 모형을 분포형 모형으로 대체하기 위한 연구 등이 이루어지고 있으며, 모형 구축이 간편하고 예측 정확도가 우수하다는 장점으로 인해 신경회로망이나 퍼지추론기법 등을 사용한 연구도 지속적으로 이루어지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 수자원분야에 산재한 불확실성을 적극적으로 인정하고 수학적으로 해석하기 위한 이론인 퍼지이론에 신경망 이론을 도입한 neuro-fuzzy 기법을 사용하여 홍수량을 예측하였다. 모형의 입력자료로는 관측된 강우자료와 유출량자료 및 기상청에서 제공하는 MAPLE(McGill Algorithm for Precipitation Nowcasting by Lagrangian Extrapolation) 강우예측자료를 사용하여 적용성을 평가해보았다. 모형의 적용성을 평가하기 위해 시험유역을 충주댐 상류 유역으로 선정하였으며, 2010년 2011년 홍수기의 충주댐 유입량을 예측하였다. 모형의 입력자료를 변경하여 입력자료의 변화에 따른 결과를 비교하였고, clustering 반경의 변화에 따른 정확도를 비교하였다. 모형의 정확도는 평균제곱근오차와 첨두수위오차를 통해 비교하였으며, 비교결과 전반적으로 lead time이 길어질수록 MAPLE 사용 시 예측 정확도가 우수하였고, clustering 반경은 0.5일 때 가장 우수한 결과를 보였다.

Analyzing Studies on Teacher Professional Vision: A Literature Review ('수업을 보는 눈'으로서 교사의 전문적 시각에 대한 기존 연구의 특징과 쟁점 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to synthesize the theoretical perspectives, research methods, and research results of teachers' professional vision by reviewing and analyzing previous research papers and to suggest implications for science teacher education and research. Three databases were used to search peer reviewed journal articles published between 1997-2017, which include 'teachers' and 'professional vision' explicitly in abstracts and empirical studies only. 21 articles in total were analyzed and review results are as follows. First, researchers regarded professional vision as a new concept of teacher professionalism. Previous research viewed professional vision as integrated structure of teachers' knowledge or ability activated at specific moment. Second, the analytical framework of professional vision included two aspects; 'selective attention' and 'reasoning'. Several aspects of lessons or the desirable teaching and learning factors are suggested as the subcategories of selective attention. Hierarchical levels or independent reasoning ability factors are suggested as the subcategories of reasoning process. Third, research on teachers' professional vision focused more on middle school teachers than elementary teachers and on various subject areas. Most studies used video clips and more cases of using videos of non-participants were found. In case of measurement of professional vision, most quantitative scoring methods were whether the responses of experts and teachers on video clips were consistent. Last, most studies examined or assessed teachers' professional vision. It is reported that in-service teachers' professional vision was evaluated higher than novice teachers' and using video clips were effective to examine and improve teachers' professional vision.

Students' Problem Solving Based on their Construction of Image about Problem Contexts (문제맥락에 대한 이미지가 문제해결에 미치는 영향)

  • In this study, we presented two geometric tasks to three 11th grade students to identify the characteristics of the images that the students had at the beginning of problem-solving in the problem situations and investigated how their images changed during problem-solving and effected their problem-solving behaviors. In the first task, student A had a static image (type 1) at the beginning of his problem-solving process, but later developed into a dynamic image of type 3 and recognized the invariant relationship between the quantities in the problem situation. Student B and student C were observed as type 3 students throughout their problem-solving process. No differences were found in student B's and student C's images of the problem context in the first task, but apparent differences appeared in the second task. In the second task, both student B and student C demonstrated a dynamic image of the problem context. However, student B did not recognize the invariant relationship between the related quantities. In contrast, student C constructed a robust quantitative structure, which seemed to support him to perceive the invariant relationship. The results of this study also show that the success of solving the task 1 was determined by whether the students had reached the level of theoretical generalization with a dynamic image of the related quantities in the problem situation. In the case of task 2, the level of covariational reasoning with the two varying quantities in the problem situation was brought forth differences between the two students.

Development and Application of a Multimedia Title for Geometry Learning (기하 학습을 위한 멀티미디어 타이틀의 개발과 적용)

  • One of the main objects of geometry in mathematics education is to improve students' geometric intuition capability and logical reasoning capability based on them. A visual element related to intuition plays an important role in teaching and learning of geometry. Therefore, in this research, we focus on the development of multimedia title available to dynamic operation about visual elements and verify of effect of its application. This title for the learning of "the Pythagorean theorem and its practical use" in the third grade of middle school is designed and implemented by an authoring tool, Toolbook. And it enables learners to study mathematics individually and can be applied to the educational field, too. And we taught two groups, the applied group and the compared one of the second grade of middle school and surveyed Questions and evaluated study achievement. We calculated study achievement of two groups on t-test using SPSS. As the result, we knew that the applied group is higher than the compared one in the study achievement and provision of dynamic operation possibility on visual elements make students know very high learning effect and help improvement of intelligent capability.

  • 최근의 극심한 기상이변으로 인하여 발생되는 유출량의 예측에 관한 사항은 치수 이수는 물론 방재의 측면에서도 역시 매우 중요한 관심사로 부각되고 있다. 강우-유출 관계는 유역의 수많은 시 공간적 변수들에 의해 영향을 받기 때문에 매우 복잡하여 예측하기 힘든 요소이며, 과거에는 추계학적 예측모형이나 확정론적 예측모형 혹은 경험적 모형 등을 사용하여 유출량을 예측하였으나 최근에는 인공신경망과 퍼지모형 그리고 유전자 알고리즘과 같은 인공지능기반의 모형들이 많이 사용되고 있다. 하지만 유출량을 예측하고자 할 때 학습자료 및 검정자료로써 사용되는 유출량은 수위-유량 관계곡선식으로부터 구하는 경우가 대부분으로 이는 이렇게 유도된 유출량의 경우 오차가 크기 때문에 그 신뢰성에 문제가 있을 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 수위를 직접 예측함으로써 이러한 오차의 문제점을 극복 하고자 한다. Neuro-Fuzzy 모형은 과거자료의 입 출력 패턴에서 정보를 추출하여 지식으로 보유하고, 이를 근거로 새로운 상황에 대한 해답을 제시하도록 하는 인공지능분야의 학습기법으로 인간이 과거의 경험과 훈련으로 지식을 축적하듯이 시스템의 입 출력에 의하여 소속함수를 최적화함으로서 모형의 구조를 스스로 조직화한다. 따라서 수학적 알고리즘의 적용이 어려운 강우와 유출관계를 하천유역이라는 시스템에서 발생된 신호체계의 입 출력패턴으로 간주하고 인간의 사고과정을 근거로 추론과정을 거쳐 수문계의 예측에 적용할 수 있을 것이다. 유전자 알고리즘은 적자생존의 생물학 원리에 바탕을 둔 최적화 기법중의 하나로 자연계의 생명체 중 환경에 잘 적응한 개체가 좀 더 많은 자손을 남길 수 있다는 자연선택 과정과 유전자의 변화를 통해서 좋은 방향으로 발전해 나간다는 자연 진화의 과정인 자연계의 유전자 메커니즘에 바탕을 둔 탐색 알고리즘이다. 즉, 자연계의 유전과 진화 메커니즘을 공학적으로 모델화함으로써 잠재적인 해의 후보들을 모아 군집을 형성한 뒤 서로간의 교배 혹은 변이를 통해서 최적 해를 찾는 계산 모델이다. 이러한 유전자 알고리즘은 전역 샘플링을 중심으로 한 수법으로 해 공간상에서 유전자의 개수만큼 복수의 탐색점을 설정할 뿐만 아니라 교배와 돌연변이 등으로 좁아지는 탐색점 바깥의 영역으로 탐색을 확장할 수 있기 때문에 지역해에 빠질 위험성이 크게 줄어든다. 따라서 예측과 패턴인식에 강한 뉴로퍼지 모형의 해 탐색방법을 유전자 알고리즘을 사용한다면 보다 정확한 해를 찾는 것이 가능할 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 선행우량 및 상류의 수위자료로부터 하류의 단시간 수위예측에 관해 연구하였으며, 이를 위해 유전자 알고리즘을 이용항여 소속함수를 최적화 시키는 형태의 Neuro-Fuzzy모형에 대하여 연구하였다.

Development of the Traffic Actuation Signal Control System Based on Fuzzy Logic on an Arterial Street (Fuzzy Logic을 적용한 간선도로 상의 교통감응 신호제어)

  • An arterial street control is performed for the purpose of the progression of a traffic flow using the arterial. However during the progression in the arterial, the change according to the time is one of the most representative problems occurring at a signal plan. This paper intends to efficiently operate the arterial progression by applying fuzzy logic, which is thought to be the most possible one in the inference as that of the human logic, to the traffic responsive control system. Fuzzy Logic controller is appliable to the daily human language (linguistic). can be dealt with the uncertain traffic data and is useful on planning the signal control to sensitively confront the randomly changing traffic condition. This study, based on the signal control part of the isolated intersection in "A Development of a Real-time, Traffic Adaptive Control Scheme Through VIDs"(Seong Ho. Kim. 1996). suggested the strategy for the progression control in the arterial and analyzed its effect by comparing the effect of the existing control method. In addition, the study compared each effect by using TRAF-NETSIM which is the traffic simulation software to analyze each control method.

A Study on the Performance Improvement of Fuzzy Controller Using Genetic Algorithm and Evolution Programming (유전알고리즘과 진화프로그램을 이용한 퍼지제어기의 성능 향상에 관한 연구)

  • FLC(Fuzzy Logic Controller) is stronger to the disturbance than a classical controller and its overshoot of the intialized value is excellent. In case an unknown process or the mathematical modeling of a complicated system is impossible, a fit control quantity can be acquired by the Fuzzy inference. But FLC can not converge correctly to the desirable value because the FLC's output value by the size of the quantization level of the Fuzzy variable always has a minor error. There are many ways to eliminate the minor error, but I will suggest GA-FLC and EP-FLC Hybrid controller which csombines FLC with GA(Genetic Algorithm) and EP(Evo1ution Programming). In this paper, the output characteristics of this Hybrid controller will be compared and analyzed with those of FLC, it will he showed that this Hybrid controller converge correctly to the desirable value without any error, and !he convergence speed performance of these two kinds of Hyhrid controller also will be compared.

A study on MERS-CoV outbreak in Korea using Bayesian negative binomial branching processes (베이지안 음이항 분기과정을 이용한 한국 메르스 발생 연구)

  • Branching processes which is used for epidemic dispersion as stochastic process model have advantages to estimate parameters by real data. We have to estimate both mean and dispersion parameter in order to use the negative binomial distribution as an offspring distribution on branching processes. In existing studies on biology and epidemiology, it is estimated using maximum-likelihood methods. However, for most of epidemic data, it is hard to get the best precision of maximum-likelihood estimator. We suggest a Bayesian inference that have good properties of statistics for small-sample. After estimating dispersion parameter we modelled the posterior distribution for 2015 Korea MERS cases. As the result, we found that the estimated dispersion parameter is relatively stable no matter how we assume prior distribution. We also computed extinction probabilities on branching processes using estimated dispersion parameters.

  • In this paper, we introduce the design method using CAE(Computer Aided Engineering) which is profitable in the compatibility and standardization of the developed product and in the reduction of construction time and price to develop and design a machine equipment. Particularly, we select the standard model to design ot develop from the large machinery to the super precision one, extract the peculiar characters of the model by the close analysis of the physical and technical part, can predict the previous result of experimental characteristics on objective dimensions through the analogical mathematical analysis, and can induce the design model demanded by user investigating optimal data in advance. We present the analogical algorithms and process method of design factors and restriction factors in the systematization design with computer. Then we analyze step functions for each systematization equipment and induce the process of technical data with actuator model.

The Effects of Characteristics of Information Gifted Students on the Selection of Science Gifted Students (정보영재의 특성이 영재학생 선발에 미치는 영향 분석)

  • In order to cultivate the human resources needed in the 4th industrial revolution era, it is necessary to select the gifted students and educate them systematically. Although excellent gifted students are important in a specific field, more convergent talents in the fields of mathematics, science, and information are required. The purpose of this study is to investigate how evaluation factors reflecting the characteristics of information gifted students affect the selection of science gifted students of a university gifted education center. In the characteristics of information gifted students, the cognitive factors such as Rule creation ability, Reasoning ability, Efficiency ability, Generalization ability, Structuring ability and Abstraction ability were highly correlated in selecting the science gifted students. Correlations in the applicants group of students for science gifted education center are higher than those in the first passers group and higher than those in the final successful candidates group. This means that the factors that shows the characteristics of the information gifted have a great influence on the selection of the science gifted.
