자기조절학습전략은 메타인지적, 인지적, 동기적, 행동적인 전략들을 자율적으로 선택하고 적용하여 학습자가 적극적이고 능동적으로 학습에 참여할 수 있도록 돕는 학습전략이다. 본 연구의 목적은 수학저널 쓰기학습에서 자기조절학습전략의 양상은 어떠한가를 살펴보기 위함에 있다. 수학저널은 총 13문항으로 자기조절학습전략의 하위요소별로 1~2문항씩 구성하였다. 연구의 결과 수학저널에서 메타인지전략은 학습 목표 설정, 문제해결전략탐구, 반성적 사고, 예를 들어 설명하기 등으로 표현되었다. 인지전략은 아이디어간의 구조 파악하기, 위계화하기, 핵심 내용 파악하기 등으로 표현되었다. 동기전략은 학습에 대한 만족감과 불안감, 차후 학습에 대한 자신감과 좌절감 등으로 표현되었다. 이는 수학저널 쓰기학습을 통하여 자기조절학습전략이 활용되고 있으며 효율적이고 성공적인 학습을 돕는다는 점에서 수학 교육학적인 시사점이 있다.

본 연구에서는 초등학교 4학년 수학학습 부진학생을 대상으로 도형영역에 대해 수학저널 쓰기를 활용한 보충학습을 실시하여 수학 부진학생의 기하학적 사고 수준에 어떤 변화가 있는지 알아보았다. 연구 대상의 사전 기하학적 사고 수준 검사 결과에 기초하여 지도 내용을 van Hiele의 5단계 학습과정에 따라 재구성하여 주 1회 이상 12주간의 보충수업 후, 사후 기하학적 사고 수준 검사 결과 및 학생들이 작성한 수학저널과 수업 중 나타난 반응 및 면담 내용을 분석함으로써 부진학생들 외 기하학적 사고 수준 변화에 주목하였다. 더불어 의사표현력이나 협동활동과 같이 수학학습 부진학생의 교수-학습과 관련한 교수학적 함의를 얻을 수 있었다.

광무 9년(1905년) 12월5일 한국인 최초의 이학사인 유일선이 발행한 우리나라 첫 번째 수학 저널인 <수리학잡지 (數理學雜誌)> 가 사료로 최근 수학계에 그 존재를 알렸다. 이 저널은 매월 5일 발행한 정기간행물로 2년 정도 (광무10년 6월5일 제 7호까지) 발간된 후 폐간되었다. 발행은 유일선에 의해 1907년 설립된 정리사(精理舍) 가 위치한 서울 남대문 근처 상동 (尙洞) 의 '수리학잡지사' 를 통하여 이루어졌다. 그 내용은 근대수학의 기초 내용을 강론형식으로 서술한 '산술신강의' 와 '산술문제 해설' 및 '이과 (理科)' 로 구성되었다. 본 논문은 유일선이 발행한 한국 최초의 수학 저널 <수리학잡지> 의 창간호의 내용을 분석하고 그 내용을 구체적으로 소개하는데 그 목적이 있다.

미국 버지니아대학 수학과 교수, 보험회사 계리인, 변호사를 거쳐, 영국 육군사관학교 교관으로 55세에 정년을 한 유태계 영국 수학자 J. J. 실베스터는 61세의 나이로 1876년 미국 최초의 연구중심대학인 존스홉킨스대학에 초대 수학과장으로 초빙되어 연구 인력을 배출하고 미국 최초의 수학연구저널을 발간하며 미국에 현대수학의 연구 여건을 마련 해 준다. 본 논문은 그와 그가 후임으로 추천한 F. 클라인이 19세기 후반 미국수학계에 끼친 역할을 분석한다. 우리는 실베스터와 클라인과 미국인 수학자 E. H. 무어가 100여년 전 낙후된 미국 수학을 당시 유럽 중심의 수학계 주류에 진입시키는 과정에서의 역할과 이 과정이 한국에서 갖는 의미를 생각한다.

This study examines the effects of reflective journal writing on the mathematics self-efficacy in reciprocal peer tutoring. Participants were 38 high school students in Gyeonggi province who attended at a summer intensive mathematics course for 4 weeks. This study used a mixed method. SPSS 21.0 program was used to analyze the quantitative data, and the interviews, observational journals and reflective journals of 6 students were used to analyze qualitative data. According to the results, all the subcategories of mathematics self-efficacy, - mathematics problem-efficacy, mathematics success-efficacy, mathematics learning-efficacy, and mathematics subject-efficacy - improved except mathematics occupation-efficacy. In case of mathematics success-efficacy and mathematics problem-efficacy, students revealed the greatest improvement. In conclusion, reflective journal writing in reciprocal peer tutoring could be suggested as a treatment program to improve students' mathematics self-efficacy.

This thesis is about a comparative study how they use technology in math education in both Korea and U.S.A. The subjects of investigation are the representative math education journals in Korea and America-Mathlove of Korea and Mathematics Teacher of U.S.A. I have chosen and studied contents that is related to technology in the two journals which were published for 10 years from 1995 to 2004. The followings are the theme of the study. Theme 1 (The situation of environment) : I have examined the usage situation of technology in Korea and America, by studying and analysing the rates and types of sentences contained technology in the two journals. Theme 2 (The situation of substances) : By studying and analysing substances and materials of two journals, I have made a study what changes technology of math education in U.S.A and Korea made for math learning contents and materials. Theme 3 (the situation of methods) : I made a study about how technology has affected the methods of teaching and learning math in both Korea and U.S.A by analysing and studying the methods which they have applied to math education.
