A Roentgenocephalometric Study on the Relationship of His' Line to the Upper and Lower Face (His선(線)과 상하안모(上下顔貌) 관계(關係)에 관(關)한 두부방사선(頭部放射線) 계측학적(計測學的) 연구(硏究))

  • 저자(著者)는 성장(成長) 발육기(發育期)에 있는 한국인(韓國人)의 His' line과 전두기저선(前頭基底線) 안이평면(眼耳平面) 하악평면(下顎平面) 구개평면(口蓋平面)이 이루는 각도적(角度的) 변화(變化)를 관찰(觀察)하기 위하여 정당교합인(正當咬合人) 남(男) 여(女) 195명(名)의 두부방사선규격사진(頭部放射線規格寫眞)을 Hellma의 치령 분류법(齒齡 分類法)에 의(依)하여 분류(分類)하고 계측(計測) 관찰(觀察)하였든바 다음과 같은 결과(結果)를 얻었다. 1. 성장(成長) 발육기(發育期)에 있어서 전두기저선(前頭基底線)과 His' line이 일정(一定)한 각도(角度) 관계(關係)를 유지한다. 2. His' line은 수평성장축(水平成長軸)으로 생각(生覺)할 수 있다. 3. His' line은 구개평면(口蓋平面)과 대부분(大部分) 일치(一致)하며 남녀(男女)에는 별 차이(差異) 없다. 4. 하악평면(下顎平面)과 His' line이 이루는 각(角)이 심한 것으로 보아 강(强)한 경사도(傾斜度)를 나타내고 있다. 5. 서양인(西洋人)에 비해 하악골(下顎骨)의 후퇴(後退)를 볼 수있다.

Interpolation Method for 3D Stereo Images Transmitted by Frame-Compatible Packing Format (프레임 호환 패킹 포맷으로 전송된 3D 스테레오 영상에 대한 내삽 방법)

  • Stereoscopic 3D video can be transmitted by frame-compatible packing format to fulfill the compatibility requirement with the existing digital TV. Then, the reduced stereo image needs to be expanded to the original size at the receiver. This paper proposes an adaptive interpolation method for the discarded image lines. The horizontal line-based linear filter and NEDI6 filter are used selectively for the interpolation of each pixel. Experimental results show that the NEDI6 combined with the horizontal line-based linear filter yields better image quality than the bilinear method by around 0.6dB.

  • A mathematical model of slip-in booster separation dynamics is described. A longitudinal 3-DOF(degree of freedom) 2-body dynamic model is developed to simulate the separation dynamics. Aerodynamic models of the missile and the exposed area of booster are built. And, gas generator pushing the booster out and internal channel pressure drop are modelled. To simulate the model, it is assumed that the missile can maintain the 1g level-fight condition during the separation. With this assumption, the interaction forces between missile and booster through the separation phases: phase 0: initial, phase 1: linear translation, and phase 2: free flight motion are defined. Using the simulation, missile flight conditions for slip-in booster`s safe separation, which can be represented by Mach vs. height envelope, are suggested.

지역 R&D 생태계 활성화와 지역공공 R&D조직의 역할 -한국기초과학지원연구원 지역센터 발전방안을 중심으로 -

  • 지역 R&D 혁신생태계를 조성하고자 정부는 부처별로 다수의 지역 공공 R&D조직들을 다투어 구축하고 있다. 현재 지역 공공 R&D조직은 그 역할과 기능이 명확하지 않고, 지자체는 지역 실정에 맞는 지를 따지기 보다는 "일단 유치하고 보자"는 인식이 강하다. 조직의 구성원은 중앙정부 공공 R&D조직문화 및 운영방식에 익숙해져 있어서, 지역 공공 R&D 생태계와 상호작용, 협력메카니즘 구축에 여러 가지 어려움이 있다. 한국기초과학지원연구원은 지역연구자들에게 근거리 연구지원을 위해 전국에 9개의 지역센터를 운영하고 있다. 지역 R&D 혁신생태계 중 기초과학지원이라는 중요한 영역을 맡고 있다. 하지만, 현재 지역센터는 분석수요 대비 지역센터의 인력 및 인프라 미흡, 유지비용 부족으로 성장의 한계에 부딪힌 상황이다. 현재 지역센터의 역할 재정립에 대한 요구가 크다. 본 연구에서는 기초과학지원연구원의 지역센터에 대한 인터뷰 및 설문조사를 통해 지역 공공 R&D 조직의 역할과 기능에 대해 짚어보았다. 우선 지역센터의 현황과 문제점을 종합적으로 살펴보았다. 그리고 지역센터의 역할과 기능, 지역내 포지셔닝을 살펴보고, 실질적인 운영방안검토 및 새로운 역할과 발전전략에 대해 검토하였다. 본 연구는 앞으로 기초과학지원 연구원의 지역센터를 비롯한 지역공공 R&D조직은 국가차원의 당위적 수직적 역할 외에도 지역차원의 수평적 협력적 역할에 대해 새롭게 조명하고, 지역 관점에서 지역 공공 R&D 생태계와 지역산업까지 그 성과가 이어질 수 있도록 역할전환이 필요하다는 점을 제시하였다.

Fast Motion Estimation Algorithm for H.264 Video Coding Standard (H.264 동영상 표준 부호화 방식을 위한 고속 움직임 추정 기법)

  • In this paper, we propose fast motion estimation algorithm. Local statistics of a motion vector is highly correlated to motion vectors of its neighboring blocks. According to the property, block-based motion search range is adaptively determined in order to reduce unnecessary search points. Based on the determined search range, motion vector is obtained by variable step search motion estimation. Experimental results show that comparing to Full search motion estimation, the motion searching points of proposed algorithm is reduced as much as $98\%$. Moreover, PSNR and Bit Rate are almost same to Full search method.

  • In this research, We connect the terrestrial magnetism sensor of the Philips to a bluetooth communication system and measured 360 degree of the azimuth change the angle with an incline of 5 degrees to an order direction. The value of the azimuth to be measured sent to the Bluetooth communication system and analyzed the measuring value in the 100m as moved. Using the bluetooth, we could send the measuring value of the azimuth without the bearing error in the plain without an electric wave obstacle within a distance in straight line 100M. We got the value of the azimuth have 98% reliability to maintain at a level with the terrestrial magnetism sensor. Based on this research. We send the measuring value of the azimuth which the accuracy is improved to a mobile intelligent robot moving a land inclined equipped with this system and can track the azimuth of it.

  • In this study, NATM can reduce the loosened ground near the tunnel face more than the other pre-existing tunnelling methods, because of rapid supporting by means of shotcrete and rock bolts. However, this method sometimes can not help for a unstable tunnel face with a unsupported caondition. In order to keep from that dangerous case, some excavation methods such as bench cut and drift advancing method are introduced, despite of high construction cost and period. So, this thesis is intended to introduce the new tunnel face shape, that is concave shaped face, and discusses its effects on the tunnel stabilization.

  • Seismic members like damper do not have any treatment of preventing story stiffness reduction after elastic yielding of stories causing story collapse. This paper suggests a method able to prevent story stiffness reduction using high-strength steel. This paper suggests these also : (1) High-strength steel stud column reinforcing story stiffness reduction until story drift 0.02rad can be designed in small area without adjusting layout. (2) Suggested seismic member installing at lowest level shows effects to preventing deformation concentration under huge seismic waves.

  • The earth pressure coefficient at rest for clayey soils in the one-dimensional state, $K_0$ obtained from the triaxial test is not correct in principle because the seepage flow is radial and the displacement of soil elements is three-dimensional. Measurements of the earth pressure and the pore water pressure during one-dimension consolidation in the consolidometer ring are presented. The earth pressure and pore water pressure are measured directly by a circular part of the consolidometer ring of a floating type at its mid height. A plastic clay showed $K_0$=0.5 irrespective of pressure in the consolidometer ring.

  • The Domain Name System (DNS) is the core system for managing Internet address resources, providing the most fundamental naming service. Currently, the DNS is classified into a tree structure. In this structure, it is difficult to normally access to the lower DNS, when there is an error in the upper DNS. Such a risk still remains even when a supplementary DNS is operated. However, due to the merit of the DNS enabling fast searches, it is impracticable to abandon the current tree structure. To efficiently correspond to DNS errors, this study suggests a method where the merit of the current tree structure is kept, while a temporary operation of the local DNS is available when errors occur by adding a horizontal and independent DNS structure.
