스테인레스강 철도차량차제 설계 기술

  • 연강(mile steel)은 철도차량 차체의 주요 재질로 오랫동안 사용되어 왔으며, 다양한 강도 특성과 저렴한 가격, 용이한 작업성등의 이유로 현재까지도 널리 적용되고 있다. 그러나 연강은 부식에 취약하므로 도장작업이 필수적이고, 부식에 대한 여유로 인해 판두께의 감소가 제한적이므로 경량화가 곤란하고, 정기적인 유지보수가 필요한 단점이 있다. 반면에 스테인레스강(stainless steel)판재는 내부식성이 강하므로 무도장이 가능하고, 차체의 내구 수명이 증가하며, 유지보수가 편리하다는 장점이 있다. 또한 내부식성과 고강도 특성으로 차체 판재의 두께 감소가 가능하므로 경량화에 유리하고, 차체 표면의 다양한 표면처리가 가능하므로 외관의 미려함을 높일 수 있다. 스테인레스강는 연강에 비해 상대적으로 고가의 재질이지만 유지보수 측면과 경량화에 따른 운행비용 측면에서 볼 때 철도차량 차체의 재질로서 유용성을 가지고 있어 활발히 적용되고 있다. 국내에서는 1990년대초 과천선 전동차를 시작으로 스테인레스강 철도차량이 본격적으로 개발되어 상용화되었고, 새마을호를 비롯한객차에도 스테인레스강 차체를 적용하고 있다. 국내의 스테인레스강 철도차량 제작 기술은 이제 상당한 수준에 올라와 있으며 차량의 해외 수출은 물론 기술 이전도 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 강좌에서는 스테인레스강 철도차량 차체의 특성과 함께 설계 방법을 정리하여 봄으로써, 향후 스테인레스강 철도차량 차체의 개선 및 발전을 위한 기초로 삼고자 한다.(중략)

Analysis of Export Competitiveness of Gwangyang Port Using Constant Market Shares Analysis, Shift-share Analysis, and Comparative Advantage (Disadvantage) by Countries (불변시장점유율분석, 변이할당분석, 국별비교우위지수, 국별비교열위지수를 이용한 광양항의 수출경쟁력 분석)

  • This paper examines the export structure of Gwangyang Port and evaluates its comparative advantage from 2005 to 2016 using the Comparative Advantage by Countries (CAC) index. It is found that: (i) Gwangyang Port has a comparative advantage in HS 39 and HS 28, an unstable comparative advantage in HS 29 but a comparative disadvantage in HS 72; and (ii) 4 items have the common features of losing their comparative advantage. Constant market share analysis allows one to evaluate why the exports of one region may grow faster than world exports. This consists of the commodity composition effect, the scale effect, and the competitive effect. Constant market share analysis shows that the commodity composition effect influences exports negatively while the scale effect does exports positively. Shift-share analysis can help evaluate the change in a region's performance relative to the nation over a given period of time. The result indicates that HS 28 has not only favorable industrial mix effect but high competitive share effect, while HS 29 has unfavorable industrial mix effect as well as low competitive share effect. This paper also reveals that industrial mix effect of HS 39 is positive but its competitive share effect is negative, whereas the former is negative but the latter is positive in case of HS 29.

Combined Treatment with Gamma Irradiation and Sodium Dichloroisocyanurate to Control Leaf Blight and to Preserve Cut Lilies (절화 백합 잎마름병 방제 및 품질 보존을 위한 감마선 150 Gy와 Sodium Dichloroisocyanurate 병용처리)

  • For the purpose of practical application of gamma irradiation for export lily without the ionic energy damage, 150 Gy gamma ray was suggested as the safe level on cut lilies, the oriental cultivar Siberia (white) and Sorbonne (pink). The combined treatments of 150 Gy gamma ray and sodium dichloroisocyanurate (NaDCC) at 0, 40, 100, and $200{\mu}g/l$, were tried to control lily leaf blight caused by Botrytis elliptica. Incidences of petal blight on the two oriental lilies at control were 93%-95%, whereas those at the combined treatments of 150 Gy and $100{\mu}g/l$ or higher of NaDCC were 76%-83%. However, severity of petal blight was not reduced by the combined treatments. Gamma irradiation at 150 Gy did not change the cut lily quality such as improve cut lily longevity of vase-life compare with the control. In addition, fresh weight, chlorophyll contents, and the color of pink petals of Sorbonne were not changed by 150 Gy of gamma irradiation. Therefore, we recommend the combined treatment of 150 Gy gamma irradiation and $100{\mu}g/l$ NaDCC for the standard operating procedure on cut lily for export quarantine to control leaf blight.

The Effect of a Change in Natural Gas Price on Korean Economy (천연가스가격 변화의 경제적 효과)

  • This paper is concerned with the effect of an increase in the import price of LNG on the Korean economy and industries. A computable general equilibrium analysis is applied to compute the comparative-statical effect of 10% rise of LNG price. The price increase places relatively heavy burden on the city gas, oil products and thermal power, decreasing their outputs and domestic sales by relatively larger percentages than other industries. The 10% increase in the LNG price reduces GDP by 0.4% and raises the general price level by 0.08%. The increase in oil price resulting in the same decreasing rate of GDP caused by the 10% LNG price rise turns out to raise the general price level and reduce the consumer's welfare in terms of equivalent variation by less percentage than the increase in LNG price.

  • 1. Object and importance of the research. The exports of plywood are increasing annually and it has ranked first in the world market because of the high quality product developed and manufactured using modern techniques. However, it is known that the exports of the other wood products, except plywood, is inactive because of their low quality. Accordingly, to increase the exports of various wood products investigations were carried out on kiln drying techniques to improve the quality of the wood. 2. The details and scope of the research Wet wood should be kiln dried before use to prevent various drying defects such as distortion, shrinkage etc, which would develop after processing, and also wet wood is not suitable for cutting, gluing and finishing. Therefore, the kiln drying properties of lumber from such species as Persimmon, Oak, Ramin and Meranti which are used in large quantity for manufacturing exporting wood products have been studied. Also the real state of kiln drying industry in Korea was investigated. 3. Results and proposal for practical use of the research 3. 1 Results of the research 3.1.1 The end checks and the time for drying from intial moisture content of about 40 percent to 5 percent moisture content in ovendry were investigated as Table 1. 3.1.2 The kiln dried results, for 30mm stock, which are presented by using kiln schedule Table 2 are as Table 3. 3.1.3 The kiln schedule for Persimmon which has a normal drying properties is given in Table 4. However, the persimmon which has easy checking properties should be air dried under a relative humidity of above 85% until reaching about 25 percent moisture content. 3.1.4 The kiln schedules for ramin, meranti and oak are given respectively as follows. The Investigations on Competitive Power of Frames Industry at Daegu (대구 안경테산업 경쟁력 조사)

  • The results that research industrial competitive power of about two hundreds frames manufactures were as follows. First, It's researched that frames industry of Daegu will be worse and worse, and 79 percent of inquiry manufactures in export and 58 percent of them in the domestic demand prospects to be worse. Second, it is analyzed that the commercial profits in 2004 was more decreased to 16.5 percent than 2002. Therefore it is studied that they will be diminished to 5---- comparing with last year by a fall in the exchange rate of the won dollar, in the export unit cost and a raise of raw material price. Third, it is researched that most competitive countries of Daegu glasses manufactures is China and the mext county is japan, ltuly and hik. Fourth, It is studied that average price of glasses of Daegu during last three years(2002~2004) was more disadvantageous than China and Hong Kong, but was more profitable than Italy and Japan by the examination that when Korea is 100, China is 82, Hong Kong 89, Italy 112, Japan 114. Fifth, It is investigated that the average of production cost in Daegu is more disadvantageous than that of China and Hong Kong but is more profitable that of Italy and Japan by the study that when average production cost of Korea is 100, that of China is 78 and that of Hong Kong 89, that of Italy 114. Sixth, It is studied that the Average personal expense of Daegu is much more disadvantageous than that of China and more profitable than Japan and Italy by the analysis that when Korea is 100, China is 74, Hong Kong 98, Japan 112, Italy 113. Seventh, It is analyzed that technique, quality, design of Daegu are more advantageous than those of China, are equal with those of Hong Kong. Eighth, It is studied that Daegu still lags behind more four and five years than developed countries and goes more oheod four years than developing countries.

Implementation Assessment of WTO Agricultural Agreement and its Impacts on Non-Timber Forest Products Markets (WTO 농업협정(農業協定)의 이행평가(履行評價)와 단기소득임산물(短期所得林産物) 시장(市場)에 미친 영향(影響))

  • The objectives of this study were to assess implementation on tariff quotas and tariff cuts committed in the WTO as result of Uruguay Round(UR) negotiations and to examine impacts of reductions in agricultural protection agreed in the UR on major non-timber forest products markets. The implementation of WTO Agreement on Agriculture was analysed based on the relevant data and statistics. The impacts of implementation on tariff cuts and tariff quotas on non-timber forest products markets were estimated by using supply and demand elasticities from previous studies and data on production, consumption and trade after UR. The quantities of Chestnut, Pine nut and Jujube imported by the system of tariff quota did not exceed the committed quotas over the five years from 1995 to 1999. The current level of applied rates on imports of non-timber products is much lower than that of bound rates, which will be maintained until the year 2004. It is estimated that increase in imports after UR reduced prices and that reduction in prices led to decrease in expenditure and to increase in consumer surplus. It is estimated, however, that production level significantly decreased due to rise in imports and that the negative effects on production exceeded positive effects on consumption. Exports of most non-timber forest products decreased after UR even though non-timber forest products could gain access to the export markets at the lower tariffs as a result of UR.

Effect of Salting Methods on Component and Quality Characteristics of Eggplants (가지의 절임방법에 따른 성분변화)

  • This study was carried out to analyze the physicochemical properties according to salting methods of eggplants exported mainly to Japan. Moisture contents of Chukyang and Shikibu were decreased after 3 days of salting regardless of salting methods. The decrease of moisture content in mixed treatment of rice husk and salt was higher than that of salt treatment after 7 days of salting. Ash contents of Chukyang and Shikibu were increased according to extended salting time regardless of salting methods. The Brix of Chukyang and Shikibu without salting were $4.0^{\circ}brix\;and\;5.0^{\circ}brix$, respectively, and were increased according to extended salting time regardless of kinds and salting methods. pH of Chukyang and Shikibu without salting were 6.04 and 6.00, respectively. Extended the salting time from 0 to 7 days did not result in a pH change. Reducing sugar contents of Chukyang and Shikibu were increased according to extended salting time, the increase of reducing sugar content in mixed treatment of rice husk and salt was higher than that of salt treatment during salting. Soluble protein contents of Chukyang and Shikibu without salting were 1.40 g and 1.85 g, respectively. Extended the salting time from 0 to 7 days resulted in gradual increase in soluble protein content of Chukyang and Shikibu.

Gaseous Chlorine Dioxide Treatment to Produce High Quality Paprika for Export (고품질 수출용 파프리카 생산을 위한 이산화염소 가스 훈증 처리)

  • To maintain high quality and microbiological safety of paprika during storage for export, paprika samples after harvest were treated with 75 ppmv chlorine dioxide ($ClO_2$) gas and stored at $8^{\circ}C$, which is the optimal storage temperature, for 30 days. $ClO_2$ gas treatment reduced initial populations of total aerobic bacteria in samples by 1.62 log CFU/g as well as yeast and molds by 1.45 log CFU/g compared to those of the control. During storage, weight loss of all samples increased, and samples treated with $ClO_2$ gas showed lower weight loss than the control. In addition, total soluble solid and total phenolic contents were not significantly different between the samples during storage, whereas vitamin C content and hardness of all samples decreased. Hunter L, a, and b values of paprika samples were not significantly different between the treatments. These results suggest that $ClO_2$ gas treatment can be effective for improving microbiological safety and maintaining high quality of paprika during storage.

Effect of Harvest Time, Precooling, and Storage Temperature for Keeping the Freshness of 'Maehyang' Strawberry for Export (수출딸기 '매향'의 신선도 유지를 위한 수확시간, 예냉 및 저장온도의 효과)

  • This study was conducted to examine effects of harvest time (09:00 vs. 14:00), precooling at $4^{\circ}C$ vs. no precooling, and storage temperature (4 vs. $8^{\circ}C$) on the storage life of 'Maehyang' strawberry fruits for export. Fruits at a 60% ripe stage were harvested from a commercial greenhouse in Gyeongsangnamdo, Jinju on May 4, 2010. Fruits were precooled by a forced draft cooling for three hours, transported for about 30 minutes and then stored, immediately. Small precoolers set in the farm were used for precooling. Fruits were placed in constant temperature chamber (4 or $8^{\circ}C$) after packaging using PVC wrap and a cardboard box. Fruits were examined for their changes in weight, hardness, Hunter color values, soluble solids content (SSC), and incidence of gray mold (Botrytis cinerea) during storage at a two days interval from May 6 to May 14, 2010. Hardness and SSC decreased as the ripening stage progressed. The Hunter's 'L' and 'a' value of fruit color decreased as time passed. Also, fresh weight decreased during storage at all temperatures. Soft rot appeared on epidermal tissues and followed by gray mold. Incidence of gray mold was greater at $8^{\circ}C$ storage temperature than in $4^{\circ}C$ storage temperature. However, no difference by the harvested time and precooling. The results indicate that effectiveness for keeping the freshness was best achieved by precooling at $4^{\circ}C$ and storage at $4^{\circ}C$, respectively.
