The Optimal Isolation Period of Vertically Story-added Remodeling Apartment Building with Seismic Isolation System (면진시스템을 적용한 수직증축 리모델링 공동주택의 최적 면진주기 산정)

  • This study presents the optimal isolation period according to the number of vertically expended stories in order to provide the basic data for the application of the seismic isolation system in the vertically expended remodeling of the aged apartment. As a result of the structural analysis, the isolation period should be at least twice the primary structure in three-story vertical expansion, three times in two-story expansion, and four times in one-story expansion for the effective application of the isolation system. On the basis of the result, the efficacy of an isolation system for the actual apartment structure, which is three-story vertically expended, was analytically verified. The maximal acceleration response on the top floor reduced by 70% and 65% of the non-isolated structure in the X and Y directions respectively. Additionally, the base shear force decreased by 30% in the both directions, compared to the non-isolated structure.

Convergence study on the relationship between vertical jump and lower extremity muscle strength in elementary school baseball players (초등학교 야구 선수의 수직 점프 및 다리 근력 간 상관관계에 대한 융합연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between vertical jump and lower extremity muscle strength of elementary school baseball players. This study subjects were conducted with a total of 40 subjects. Vertical jump was measured using a vertical jump gauge, and a hand held dynamometer was used to measure lower extremity muscle strength. For the measurement of lower extremity muscle strength, flexion·extension·adduction·abduction·internal rotaiton·external rotation of both hip joint, flexion·extension of both knee joint, dorsi flexion·plantar flexion of both ankle joint were measured. pearson's correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation between vertical jump and lower extremity muscle strength. From these results, it was found that the stronger the leg muscles except for the plantar flexion, the higher the vertical jump was, indicating a positive correlation. In future studies, follow-up studies on the relationship between batting ability and vertical jump & lower extremity muscle strength are needed.

  • Anisotropic shear strength of rock joints is studied based on the artificially fractured specimens using experimental and analytical methods. Series of direct shear tests are performed to obtain the strength, stiffness and friction angle of joints under various low normal stresses and shearing directions. The results of shear strength and stiffness show anisotropic value according to shearing direction under low normal stress specially less than 2.45 MPa. But, the effect of joint roughness on strength decreases with increasing normal stress. To estimate more effectively the peak shear strength under low normal stress, the modified Barton's equation is suggested.

Precise Estimation of Vertical Position Displacement by Replacement of CORS Antennas (위성기준점 안테나교체에 따른 수직위치 변동량의 정밀산정)

  • In order to precisely determine the vertical displacements of CORS antenna phase centers caused by their replacement, intensive research has been carried out in this paper throughout processing GPS measurements made before and after the events. After applying the estimated displacement in the data processing, results show that coordinate repeatability of the vertical component is able to be 7.9mm on average. Comparing with results (e.g., 23.5mm) without applying the displacement, it was possible to conclude that these accuracies are significantly improved, which is equivalent to those before the event of the replacement.

  • Purpose: This study was performed to determine vertical fixation disparity by Fixation Disparity Card. The purpose of this study was to investigate distribution of the curve types obtained with Wesson card. Methods: Fixation disparity curves were measured on 52 subjects with the Wesson fixation disparity card. A fixation disparity curve was an x, y coordinate plot of the angular amount of fixation disparity as a function of the power of prisms through which the patient views. The fixation disparity curve variables that were used to aid in the diagnosis and management of binocular vision disorders included the x-intercept, y-intercept, curve slope and curve type. Results: Vertical fixation disparity curves by Wesson Fixation Disparity Card were very various. Conclusions: Vertiical fixation disparity curves could be used to aid in the diagnosis and prescription.

An Audio System Based on Vertical Sound Source Elevation for the Improvement of Audio Realism in Home TV Environments (가정용 TV 환경에서의 실감효과 향상을 위한 정면 수직음상정위 기반 오디오 시스템)

  • 본 논문에서는 가정용 TV 환경에서 실감효과를 향상시키기 위한 정면 수직음상정위에 기반한 오디오 시스템을 제안하고 이를 구현한다. 제안된 시스템은 가정용 대형 TV 환경에서 TV 하단에 배치된 오디오 시스템으로 인해 음상이 TV 의 하단에 맺히게 되어 재생되는 영상과 위치적인 불일치 문제를 해결하기 위하여, 오디오 신호에 정면 수직음상정위 기법을 적용하여 고도감이 향상된 신호를 생성해 준다. 본 논문에서의 정면 수직음상정위 기법은 청취자의 신체적 특성을 반영하기 위한 머리전달함수 모델, 고도에 따라 달라지는 주파수 특성을 반영하기 위한 spectral notch 및 특정 주파수 대역 boosting 으로 구성된다. 제안된 오디오 시스템의 정면 수직음상정위 기법의 성능을 평가하기 위하여 원음과 이 원음에 정면 수직음상정위 기법을 적용하여 생성한 음원을 TV 오디오 시스템으로 재생한 후의 청취 선호도 조사를 수행하였으며, 그 결과 정면 수직음상정위 기법을 포함하는 제안된 오디오 시스템을 통해 청취한 음원에 대한 선호도가 높았다.

Numerical Study on Propylene Vertical Wall Fires (프로필렌 수직벽 화재의 수치적 연구)

  • The Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS), a computational fluid dynamics model for fire simulation, was applied to propylene vertical wall fires, to confirm its accuracy in simulation of vertical wall fires. The temperature profiles at the center of the burner obtained for mass loss rates per unit area in the range of $7.0{\sim}29.29g/m^2-s$ were compared with those of experiment. Comparisons of the heat flux distributions along the vertical centerline on the wall surface were made with the measurements. It was shown that the computed temperature profiles were in good agreement with the experiment. It was also noted that the peak temperature near the wall was underpredicted, the heat flux was too high compared with the measurements, and hence improvements are required for FDS in simulation of the vertical wall fires.

Gender Differences of Knee Angle in Landing From a Drop-Jump: A Kinematic Analysis (수직착지시 성에 따른 슬관절의 형상학적(kinematic) 자료 분석)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 수직착지시 성에 따른 슬관절 가동범위의 차이를 알아보는 것이다. 연구 대상자는 20대의 건강한 성인 48명(남자 25명, 여자 23명)이었다. 연구 대상자에게 40 cm 높이에서 한발로 뛰어내리도록 하고, 2차원 동작측정 기구인 CMS-HS를 이용하여 수직착지시 슬관절의 굴곡각도, 최대 슬관절 굴곡각도, 슬관절의 가동 범위, 각속도를 측정한 후, 남 여 두 집단간의 차이를 알아보았다. 이때 사용한 분석방법은 독립적인 두 표본 t-검정이었으며 축차적(stepwise) 다변량회귀분석을 이용하여 체중과 신장을 조절한 상태에서 남여 간에 차이가 있는지를 분석하였다. 그 결과 수직착지시 슬관절의 굴곡각도에서는 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았으나, 최대 슬관절 굴곡각도, 슬관절의 가동 범위, 각속도에는 유의한 차이가 있었다(p<.05). 체중과 신장이 조절된 조건 하에서 여자는 수직착지시 최대 슬관절의 굴곡각도와 슬관절의 가동범위가 남자보다 작았다. 이러한 결과를 통하여 수직착지시 여자가 남자보다 슬관절 손상의 빈도가 높은 이유 중의 하나는 여자가 슬관절을 덜 굴곡시킴으로 인해 바닥의 충격을 더 많이 받기 때문이라는 가능성을 발견하였다.

Experimental Study on the Heat Transfer Characteristics of the Solar Hot Water Storage Tank (태양열 축열조 열전달 특성에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • 본 축열탱크 열전달에 관한 실험적 연구는 국내에서 개발하고 있는 태양열 온수기용으로 현재 널리 이용되고 있는 탱크-코일 방식의 문제점을 해결하면서 열전달 효율이 높은 2중 축열탱크를 개발하기 위한 것이다. 2중 축열탱크의 용량은 100리터로서 수평 및 수직형으로 설치하여 실험이 가능하도록 설계.제작하였고 탱크내부의 온도는 길이방향 및 반지름 방향으로 각각 등간격으로 설치하여 측정하였고 집열매체의 입.출구온도를 동시에 측정하였다. 실험결과는 (1) 축열탱크의 형태에 관계없이 축열탱크와 열교환을 하는 열매체의 유량이 증가할수록 열전달량은 증가한다. (2) 축열탱크의 형태에 따른 탱크내부 물의 온도 상승속도는 수직형(b)인 경우가 가장 크고, 그 다음 수직형(a), 수평형의 순으로 나타났다. 따라서 이중탱크형의 축열탱크는 수평형 보다 수직형이 동일한 용량의 축열매체 온도를 신속히 상승시킬 수 있다. 아울러 열성층화에 의하여 고온의 축열매체를 이용할 경우 수직형 축열탱크가 더욱 우수한 결과를 나타낸다. (3) 축열탱크 열전달계수(UA) 값은 ( $T_{in}$ - $T_{out}$)/$\Delta$ $T_{m}$ 의 크기에 좌우되며, 열전달계수를 설치방법에 따라 비교하면 수직형(b)>수직형(a)>수평형의 순서로 나타났다.다.

  • Vertical farming is one of the important solutions to overcome future food and population problems. However, underdeveloped countries can't afford due to high initial investment costs and technical huddles. To solve this problem, it is necessary to formalize the vertical farming area using ontology. In this paper, we present an ontology that includes various cultivation methods of vertical farming, connects sensors and actuates according to the methods, and recognizes and controls the cultivation environment context of the selected vertical fanning, we expect to be able to autonomously make control decisions about the context by analyzing the environmental context that is important for perceived vertical cultivation using the logical reasoning function of ontology.
