Unsteady Flow Analysis on Flood Characteristics in KEUM River Downstream (금강 하류 홍수의 부정류 해석)

  • KEUM River downstream has some characteristics in which the dowunstream is affected with tidal motion, the several tributaries are forming a dendritic river system, and the channel cross-sections are irregular. The flood in this downstream can now be analyzed by the hydrological flood routing methods and under the assumption regarding the dendritic river system as a single reach. In this study the river system was used for the flood routing. The flood records which were measured in 1978 and 1987 were applied for calibration and verification of the unsteady flow model respectively. The results show that the flood at KANG-KYONG station was not affected with the tidal motion when the discharge at KONG-JU station exceeded about 5, 000$m^3$/sec, and that the bottle neck at IP-PO station intercepted the tidal influences.

고성능 전기화학 장치용 마이크로-나노 하이브리드 다공성 니켈 전극

  • 활성 물질의 원활한 확산을 위한 경사형 마이크로 기공과 넓은 반응 면적을 제공하는 나노 기공을 동시에 가지는 하이브리드 다공성 구리의 전기화학적 합성법이 보고된 이후, 이를 기능성 전기화학 장치에 활용하기 위한 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 하지만, 구리는 일반적으로 전기화학적 비활성 물질이기 때문에 전극 활물질로서 직접 활용되는 것은 극히 제한적이다. 또한, 전해 도금에 의하여 합성되므로 비전도성 기재 위에 형성이 불가능하여, 비전도성 기재가 기본이 되는 장치에 적용하는 것 역시 어렵다. 본 연구에서는 전해 도금법을 기본으로 하여 마이크로-나노 하이브리드 다공성 구조를 가지는 니켈을 전도성 및 비전도성 기재 위에 형성하였다. 전도성 기재 위에 제조된 니켈의 구조는 전반적으로 기존의 다공성 구리와 거의 유사하였으나 마이크로 기공의 밀도와 수지상의 형태에 있어 차이점을 보였다. 비전도성 기재 위에 형성된 니켈의 경우에는 중간 열처리 과정으로 인해 나노 수지상 구조의 다소간의 뭉침이 발견될 뿐 전도성 기재 위에 형성된 니켈과 구조가 동일하였다. 전도성 및 비전도성 기재 위에 형성된 니켈 다공성 구조를 기본을 하여 각각 전기화학적 캐패시터용 전극과 연료전지용 전극을 제작하였고, 기본적인 전기화학 특성을 파악하여 니켈 다공성 구조의 응용 가능성을 타진하였다.

A Study on Molten Salt Electrorefining of Uranium Metal Using Low Carbon Steel Cathode (저 탄소강 음극을 사용한 금속우라늄의 용융염 전해정련에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, electrorefining of uranium metal was studied to develop pyrometallurgical processing technology in molten salt system. The reaction between uranium metal and $CdCl_2$ was taken about 3 hours and the uranium metal deposits were obtained in the form of dendrite grown on the cathode surface in every electrotransport experiment. The shapes of dendrite were changed according to the applied voltages. Current efficiency was decreased with the increase of current density. Deposition rate was not changed after 6 hours and its maxium was obtained at $100{\sim}150mA/cm^2$ of current density and about 75 rpm of stirring speed, respectively. Also, the current efficiency was increased with decrease of the pitch of spiral groove curved on cathode.

Notes on Some Unrecorded Species of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi Collected from Rhizospheres of Plants in Korea (식물 근권토양에서 분리한 수지상균근균)

  • In this study, arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) were isolated and cultivated from rhizospheres of various plants in Korea. Five species belonging to four genus were identified based on spore morphology and 18S rDNA sequence analysis: Acaulospora cavernata Claroideoglomus luteum, Diversispora aurantium, D. trimurales, Rhizophagus irregularis. These fungal species have not been cultivated or reported to date in Korea, Morphological description and phylogenetic analysis for each species were presented. This result could be useful for research of AMF diversity in Korea.

  • 용탕단조방법에 의해 제조된 Mg-6Al-xZn(x=0, 1, 2)합금의 기계적 성질에 미치는 시효열처리의 영향을 조사한결과 아래와 같은 결론을 얻었다. (1) 주조조직을 관찰한 결과 미세한 수지상조직을 나타냈으며 초정${\alpha}$, 과포화 ${\alpha}$, ${\beta}$상 등 세가지 상으로 구성되어 있었다. (2) Mg-6Al-xZn합금은 시효경화성을 나타내었으며 Zn의 첨가량이 증가할수록 전시효구간에서 경도값이 높게 나타났다. (3) 시효조직을 관찰한 결과 $200^{\circ}C$의 시효시에는 불연속 석출물이 대부분 차지했으나 $240^{\circ}C$의 시효온도에서는 수지상 경계에서 시작되는 미세분산된 연속석출물이 대부분 이었다. (4) $240^{\circ}C$에서 시효열처리 한 시편은 연속석출물이 석출됨으로서 $200^{\circ}C$에서의 시효열처리된 시편에 비하여 과시효되는 경향이 작았다. (5) T6열처리 후 인장시험 결과 Zn 첨가량에 따라 강도가 증가하였는데 Mg-6Al-2Zn합금의 경우 인장강도는 248.4 MPa을 나타내었으며 Zn양에 따른 연신율의 감소는 나타나지 않았다.

The Physical Region of China Divided by the Characteristics of Drainage Patterns. (하계망패턴의 특색으로 구분한 중국의 자연지역)

  • The regional division by the characteristics of the drainage patterns is important to understand its physical environment comprehensively, because the drainage network develops in reflecting characteristics of geological, geographical and climatical features in the drainage basin keenly. This study is the attempt to divide physical region in China whose drainage pattern is diverse. Chinese drainage basin is mainly divided into the interior drainage basin and the peripheral drainage basin. The interior drainage basin is divided into (1)the deranged pattern and (2)the centripetal pattern. The peripheral drainage basin is divided into (1)the dendritic pattern, (2)the parallel pattern, (3)the radial pattern and (4)the anastomatic pattern. Drainage patterns of the interior drainage basin are formed by affecting geographical features and climatic conditions mainly. In the peripheral drainage basin, drainage patterns are formed by other factors: the parallel pattern is connected with geological structure lineament by tectonic movement, the radial pattern with changes of the river channel resulted from the Yellow River's overflow, the anastomotic pattern with human's activities. The distributional features of the physical region in China are as follows: The deranged pattern appears in Zangbai Plateau, the centripetal pattern does in arid basin of the northwest China. the parallel pattern does in Hengduan mountains affected strongly by tectonic movement between Yangtze paraplatform and Indian Plate, does in the upper stream of Yangtze River and Ganges River in the south of Qinghai-Xizang Plateau, the radial pattern in Huaihe Haihe River drainage basin appearing in the alluvial fan region of Yellow River's downstream and the anastomotic pattern does in the delta of Yangtze River, in the northern coastal plain of the Jiangsu-Province and in the delta of Zhujiang River. Except these areas in the peripheral drainage basin, the dendritic pattern is usually found in the other areas.

Removing Resin Contaminants from the Seated Stone Buddha (Korean Treasure No.84) of Sinboksa Temple Site in Gangneung (강릉 신복사지 석조보살좌상 보물 제84호 수지상 오염물 제거 방안 연구)

  • The face of the Seated Stone Buddha Korean Treasure No.84 of Sinboksa Templesite in Gangneung was contaminated with a glossy resin, spoiling its beauty. The contaminants covered the face, the forehead of the urna, to the bottom of the jaw. FT-IR analysis on a sample of the contaminants identified the substance as cyanoacrylate instant adhesive, which can normally be melted with acetone and removed with a swab. However, given that the surface of the statue was severely weathered from prolonged open-air exposure, alternative removal procedures were considered, to minimize the possibility of physical damage. After research, two removal procedures were utilized: one procedure involving poultices, which had been used to remove graffiti from the Samjeondobi Stele, and one procedure involving steam sterilization, which has been used to remove resin from pottery and porcelain. When both the poultices and steam sterilization were applied together, the resin was removed within twenty-four hours, without physical work using a swab.

Finite Element Analysis of Thermoforming Process for Axisymmetric System (축대칭형계 열성형공정의 수치모사연구)

  • 평판형의 열가소성 수지를 유리전이온도 이상으로 가열한 다음 압력을 가함으로써 원하는 형상의 제품을 성형하는 열성형공정은 대상 수지가 큰 변형을 일으킬 뿐만 아니라 비선형적 거동을 보이게 된다. 따라서 수지의 변형거동 예측과 최적성형조건의 설정에 많은 어려움과 시행착오를 거치게 되는 바, 열성형 공정의 최적화를 위한 연구의 일환으로 원형 평판위 수지를 대상으로 수지의 부풀림 거동과 이에 따른 두께 분포를 예측할수 있는유한요 소법의 수치모사 알고리듬을 개발하고자 하였다. Piola-Kirchhoff 응력 텐서와 Green 변형 텐서 및 lagrangian 변형 텐서를 사용하여 평판상의 응력-변형에 대한 비선형의 에너지 수 지식을 수립하고 Newton-Raphson 반복수렴법을 이용하여 근사적으로 해석하였으며 수지의 유변학적 구성방정식으로는 neo-Hookean 모델, Mooney-Rivlin 모델 및 Ogden 모델등의 초탄성 모델을 사용하여 그결과를 비교하였다. 수치모사에는 두께가 매우 얇기 때문에 두께 방향의 응력변화를 무시할수 있는 membrane 가정을 도입한 2차원적 해석과 두께 방향의 응력 변화를 고려하는 3차원적 해석을 모두 수행하고 그 차이를 비교하였으며 3차원적 해석 의 경우에는 penalty법을 이용하여 비 압축성을 만족하였다. 일차적으로 내압을 받는 두꺼 운 원통계에 대한 수치모사 해석을 수행하고 완전해와 비교함으로써 개발된 수치모사 알고 리듬의 열성형 공정에의 적용 타당성을 검증하였으며 이를 이용하여 원형 평판의 자유부풀 림거동을 예측한 결과 Treloar 등의 실험결과와 잘 부합함을 확인하였다. 또 간단한 형상의 금형이 있는 경우와 반지름 방향으로의 온도변화에 따른 수지의 변형거동을 해석함으로써 실제 열성형 공정에서 요구되고 있는 성형품의 두께 분포를 균일하게 하기 위한 방안을 제 시하였다.

Void Formation Mechanism of Thermoset (열경화성 수지의 기공 생성 원인)

  • The formation mechanism of void defect which deteriorate composite's property is various according to each composite process. In this paper, void formation and growth mechanism is analyzed by thermal analysis and GC/MS. We made a vacuum chamber for observing pressure effect. Thermal analysis has been done in various condition. Elements of volatiles during resin curing were turned out by GC/MS. The most of volatiles of polyester were composed of styrene (over 80%) and a small quantity of toluene. In case epoxy resin, butyl glycidyl ether was the main element of volatiles (over 90%). We concluded that the original sites of void growth existed in resin and they were eliminated by vacuum and heating process. And the growth of void was influenced by water, diluents, solvent, and reactants in resin.

  • This study was investigated on the properties of board made from Miscanthus sinensis var. purpurascens particles differed in density of board and mixed ratio of powder type- and liquid type-phenolic resin. As the board density increase, thickness swelling and bending strength increased while water absorption decreased. With increasing the resin content, water absorption and thickness swelling decreased while MOR and internal bond strength increased. The board made of liquid type phenol-formaldehyde resin was low in water absorption and thickness swelling, and there were similar bending strengths between power type- and liquid type-phenol resin in resin cont of 11% and 13% at the board density $0.4g/cm^3$ and internal bond strength was higher with liquid type-phenolic resin in its bending strength.
