  • 본 논문에서는 DTV 방송 전환에 따른 주파수 이전 및 채널 재배치 시, 시스템 및 전파환경의 변화에 따라 수신 한계전계강도도출과 동등한 수준의 서비스 제공에 대한 기술적 분석 방법론을 제시한다. 전판환경 분석을 위한 전계강도 예측 모델은 ITU-R 권고 P.1546을 적용하였으며, 이를 기반으로 ATV 및 DTV의 수신한계전계강도 대한 수식을 정립하였다. 선정된 수신기의 특성에 대해 수치해석 및 결과를 고찰하였으며, 설정한 시스템에 대해 동등한 수준의 서비스 제공을 위한 시스템의 변수 보정도 방법도 제시하였다.

  • 본 논문은 ATSC2.0 기반 8-VSB/MH 융합형 3DTV (A/104 Part 5 Service Compatible 3DTV using Main and Mobile Hybrid Delivery, A/104 part 5) 방식의 서비스 커버리지 및 음영지역을 예측할 수 있는 측정 및 분석시스템 개발에 대하여 기술 한다. ATSC2.0 기반 고정/이동 방송시스템은 8-VSB 로 전송되는 고정 TV 방송서비스(좌영상 전송)와 ATSC-MH 로 전송되는 in-band 모바일 방송서비스(우영상 전송)를 모두 수신하여 좌/우영상의 재생 및 동기화를 통해 융합형 3D 영상을 복원하게 된다. 따라서 융합형 3DTV 수신기는 고정 및 모바일 방송신호를 모두 수신하여야 융합형 3D 영상복원을 할 수 있으며, 방송사 입장에서 서비스 커버리지 측정을 하기위해서는 8-VSB 및 ATSC-MH 신호의 수신여부를 모두 측정하여야 한다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 RF 수신전계강도 파라미터 및 GPS 정보등을 실시간으로 모니터링하여, 시스템 사용자에가 융합형 3DTV 서비스 커버리지 측정 및 분석을 통해 서비스를 위한 RF 방송망 셀 구성 및 음영지역을 예측할 수 있는 ATSC2.0 융합형 3DTV 서비스 커버리지 분석기 구현에 대한 내용을 기술한다.

  • The received field strength is varied with the electrical characteristics of the reflection medium in the case of the line-of-sight. To obtain the electrical characteristics of medium, the relationship between reflection coefficients and complex dielectric constants of the medium is derived, and a equation of circle which is related to reflection coefficient and ratio of transmitted power to received one is represented. A algorithm is proposed, which is to predict the electrical characteristics of the medium by using the received field strength.

Calculation of Effective Receiving Electric Field Level using the Measurement Analysis from Actual Domestic DTV Environment (국내 디지털 TV방송 환경 측정결과 분석을 통한 효과적인 수신전계강도 산출)

  • Preparing the conversion to the digital broadcasting system, we are deciding broadcasting network plan and interference protection area, using the measured receiving electric field level from the digital broadcasting station. However, the essential researches are needed about a receiving electric field level, because a digital TV (DTV) broadcasting receiver has been improved and an actual receiving environment should be considered. In this paper, the measured data were classified with domestic terrain of line of sight (LOS) and those of non-LOS, and effective receiving electric field level was proposed based on the LOS data. It is known that receiving electric field-level of 48 ㏈uV/m or more should be required for receiving rate of 90% and 50 ㏈uV/m for that of 95%, on the basis of the information of domestic terrain LOS.

Characteristics of TV Ghost Interference from Extra High Voltage Transmission Line (초고압 송전선로에 의한 TV Ghost 장해 발생 특성)

  • TV ghost interference can be described as passive interference by the conducting part of transmission lines. In order to survey this interference from large-sized overhead EHV (extra high voltage) transmission line, TV reception quality was measured in the vicinity of that before and after construction. Instrumentation system was composed of ghost analyzer, TV received field intensity meter, VHF/UHF antennas, TV monitor and so on. The system is installed inside the vehicle. TV field intensity and PDUR (Perceived Desired wave to Undersired wave Ratio) are measured to evaluate TV ghost by using the system and vehicle. As the results, the useful data, which can be used to evaluate the effect of TV ghost interference from transmission lines could be obtained. In this paper, it is shown that the range of TV ghost interference from transmission lines can vary according to the frequency of TV electromagnetic wave, an incidence angle to the line and the other conditiions. At present, we are making efforts to establish a PDUR guideline for transmission lines.

Study of the Propagation Model considering Refractive Channel Environment between Korea and Japan (한일간 대기굴절 채널환경을 고려한 전파모델 연구)

  • Japan and South Korea since 2004 until now for the broadcast channel interference, by measuring the ongoing conflict are expected to prepare for the future, but Korea's preparation are not enough. In this study, it is pointed that cause of the interference through channel environmental analysis, and effective application of propagation prediction model was carried out between neighboring countries. Between Korea and Japan, radio duct occurs on hold due to changes in the refractive gradient, and comfirmed occurrence of broadcasts interference. The results are presented that 1% time variable, -91.80 [N-units/km], 10% time variable, -43.92 [N-units/km], 50% time variable, -586.19 [N-units/km], for effective refractive gradient. Proposed refractive gradient could contribute to actual radio propagation prediction.

  • Recently, analog broadcasting are being converted into digital radio broadcasts, Among the various ways that HD Radio is a candidate for the U.S. approach, Digital Radio will transmit a digital signal to existing analog FM/AM. It provides clear sound quality, traffic information, weather information and various value-added services. In addition, the converted digital radio will be able to meet demand to growing demand for analog FM. In this paper, Digital FM Radio system in the same frequency band using electric field strength of the received digital radio broadcasting interference effects were analyzed. And Digital FM Radio Receiver interference effects were analyzed by interference signal power and signal power. Results were confirmed by applying equation at minimum field strength and SNR.
