The CYP1A gene is one of Cytochrome P450 drug-metabolizing enzymes with dose-dependant manner of gene expression and is useful to get the information of alterations on gene expression upon environmental contaminants as well as the biomarker of environmental contamination at the specific places. In this report, we further discuss the usefulness of CYP1A gene in relation to aquatic environmental contamination at several aspects.

The objective of this study is to move the initiative of children's electronic books from portal sites to libraries and to help improving libraries' information services through their systematic study. The present use state of an e-book site for children that is currently serviced by A-academic library was mainly analyzed for the study. The desirable acquisition policies were also suggested for the activation of the juvenile e-book services for libraries.

This paper describes the organization and the file structure of KINITI-LIS that is the Library Information System developed by KINITI. KINIT-LIS consists of five subsystems that are aquisition system, cataloging system, retrieval system, circulation system and serials control system, and the primary structure of underlying files is VSAM.
