Moisture evaporates, when concrete is exposed to fire, not only at concrete surface but also at inside the concrete to adjust the equilibrium and transfer properties of moisture. The equilibrium properties of moisture are described by means of water vapor sorption isotherms, which illustrate the hysteretical behavior of materials. In this paper, the prediction method of the moisture distribution inside the concrete members at fire is presented. Finite element method is employed to facilitate the moisture diffusion analysis for any position of member. And the moisture diffusivity model of high strength concrete by high temperature is proposed. To demonstrate the validity of this numerical procedure, the prediction by the proposed algorithm is compared with the test result of other researcher. The proposed algorithm shows a good agreement with the experimental results including the vaporization effect inside the concrete.

The present study aimed to investigate the effect of calcium chloride($CaCl_2$) on the growth and physiological responses of Pinus strobus and the variables that are sensitive to $CaCl_2$. Thus, changes in the visible damage, growth of root collar diameter, plant water content, chlorophyll content and composition, maximum PS II photochemical efficiency, and electron transport rate of P. strobus was analyzed in relation to treatment witih $CaCl_2$. A $CaCl_2$ solution(0.5, 1.0 and 3.0%) was applied in the root zone before leaf unfolding. Leaf browning, defoliation, and drying were observed with $CaCl_2$ application and this pattern was aggravated as the $CaCl_2$ concentration increased and the treatment period became longer. The decrease of growth in root collar diameter and height and leaf water content were observed at $CaCl_2$ 1.0% and 3.0%. The total chlorophyll content indicated that photopigment, PS II photochemical efficiency and electron transport rate significantly decreased at $CaCl_2$ 3.0%. In conclusion, $CaCl_2$ affected leaf water content and led to a decrease of capability in light harvesting and photochemical responses. Also, as a result of the correlation between calcium chloride concentration and growth and physiological response parameters, it was found that the leaf moisture content and the ratio of chlorophyll a and b reflect the damage level of calcium chloride sensitively because their coefficient of determinations were relatively high.

Achieved to grasp possibility to use compost that make food waste and sawdust (bulking agent) by raw material in this research droopingly to bulking agent calamity. To be kept by aerobic experiment method to 4 composting device that air is supplied Food Waste + Sawdust, Livestock Feces + Sawdust, Food Waste + Compost, Livestock Feces + Compost free medical care and investigated composting sledding and temperature, pH, the moisture rate, heavy metals item etc. Judged that food waste of the moisture rate mix experiment result food waste input (food waste and sawdust composting done material mean) compost happened after resources anger as bulking agent food waste and Livestock Feces quantity is 72~77%, because axis dries to promote optimum composting progress appearing by 64~65%, thing which use need and was difficult to set salt 1% that is by-product compost standard when use compost as bulking agent of food waste but by dilution effect of Livestock Feces quantity using compost being expose that preservation is available by standard low because salt content density of done compost becomes found possibility that can solve salt content problem.
Japanese larch specimens with dimension of 2.5 (radial direction) ${\times}$ 2.5 (tangential direction) ${\times}$ 2.5 cm (longitudinal direction) were prepared to determine 3 different directional internal moisture movement coefficients and surface emission coefficients along the radial-, the tangential-, and the tangential-direction. 4 sides of each cubic specimen were wrapped with paraffin tape and rubber tape, leaving open the 2 opposite surfaces of interest, to provide one dimensional moisture movement during drying. The coefficients were determined at three different temperatures, 70, 50 and $30^{\circ}C$ and at two different relative humidities, 30 and 60%. Internal moisture movement coefficients inclusive of flow of free water and diffusion of bound water and water vapor were increased in the high temperature condition. The internal moisture movement coefficient in the longitudinal direction was about six times of those in transverse directions with radial value being 20% greater than the tangential. Surface emission coefficients were increased with temperature and decreased with surface moisture content. Using this results, moisture content (MC) profile and quantities of moisture evaporating in Japanese larch lumber could be predicted in dynamic drying situations.
The field measurement and laboratory experiment were conducted to investigate the effect of reducing the surface temperature of the functional aspect of the heat island phenomenon of the permeable block which is made the recycled synthetic resin rather than the existing concrete permeable block. Field measurement was taken for 3 days in consideration of dry condition and wet condition and laboratory experiment was divided into dry condition, rainfall simulating condition, and wetting condition. The variations of temperature and the evaporation rate of water moisture content after experiment were confirmed. As a result of field measurement, it is confirmed that the surface temperature decreases due to the difference in albedo of the pore block surface rather than the cooling effect due to the latent heat of vaporization. The evaporation of moisture in a dry state where drought persisted or a certain level of moisture was not maintained in the surface layer. As a result of laboratory experiment, resin permeable block gives higher surface temperature when it is dry condition than concrete permeable block, but the evaporation of water in the pore is kept constant by capillary force in rainfall simulation condition, and higher temperature reduction rate. As a result of measuring the evaporation rate after laboratory experiment, it is confirmed that the effect of reducing temperature is increased as the evaporation rate of water is higher. Based on these results, correlation formula for evaporation rate and temperature reduction rate is derived.

Effective drying method of sewage sludge is researched in this study. To dry the sludge, chain crusher flash dryer was adopted to remove moisture content in the cell which is mostly responsible for the sludge moisture content. And Pilot plant experiment was conducted in real life sewage treatment plant to study effect and characteristics of operating conditions. Operating variables include sludge feeding rate, rotational speed of chain, process temperature and feed moisture content. As rotational speed of chain increased, product yield of sludge increased, and the performance of the testing system increased. And, as process temperature increased, the sludge drying efficiency increased. It is found that optimum feed moisture content is at 60% which shows the maximum sludge product yield and about 10 moisture content(%) of sludge product. Sludge feed rate showed optimal value, and when the sludge feed rate is exceeded, sludge product yield did not increased but the amount of residue increased. Pilot plant experiment results are as follow. The optimal condition for the rotational speed of chain 1600rpm(max. speed), final sludge discharge temperature $80^{\circ}C$, feed moisture content 60%, and feed rate 60kg/h. When the plant was operated at the optimal conditions, the final product showed fairly good results such as sludge product yield 85.5%, moisture content 11.0% and sludge drying efficiency 81.7%.

In the high temperature situation like in a fire, the high strength of concrete (HSC) has extreme danger named explosive spalling. It is assumed that the major cause of explosive spalling is water vapour pressure inside concrete. This paper examines the effect of the compressive strength and the moisture content on the initial occurrence of explosive spalling. For the effective experiment of the initial explosive spalling, the curve of ISO834 temperature profile is applied on the basis of 15 minute and 30 minute. As a result, the more increase the compressive strength and the moisture content, the more increase the occurrence and phenomenon of explosive spalling. This paper analyzes the territory of explosive spalling depending the compressive strength and the moisture content. The explosive spalling is not examined in the case of the compressive strength 50~100 MPa and the moisture content below 3% and the compressive strength over 100 MPa and the moisture content below 1%. Also, due to the HSC, which makes it more difficult to transport vapour and moisture, very high vapour-pressure may occur close to the surface, there is a greater risk that HSC spalls compared with normal strength concrete (NSC).
Laboratory experiments were undertaken in mixing chamber to study the water-in-oil emulsion formation tendency, stability and formation rate of 16 crude oils. Arabian, Iran, Dubai, Isthmus and Daekyung crudes showed high emulsion formation tendency and had water contents of 80-90%. Emulsions of crude oils of middle East were very stable, while Isthmus and Daekyung sudes formed unstable emulsion. Emulsion formation tendency rate, and stability showed significant correlations with asphaltene content of crude oil. To evaluate the possibility of preventing mousse formation, inhibition ability of several dispersants and demulsifier was tested. They inhibited mousse formation at 0.1-0.2% concentrations (v/v). Emulsion inhibition by chemical treatment delayed the time of formation, but did not decrease water content. Demulsifying ability of dispersants and demulsifier was tested because biscous emulsion causes formidable problems in skimming, pumping and recovery operation. British demulsifier Alcohol 0 showed excellent emulsion breaking efficiency at 0.1% of emulsion Vol..

This study was conducted to improve energy efficiency and problems such as clumping and fouling in the glue zone that occur in the moisture content range of 40 to 60% when sewage dehydration residue is directly fed into the dryer. The temperature of the hot air is low at 270~300℃, and the paddle-type flotation method and dehydrated residue are applied to the circulated heat storage media to increase the contact area with the hot air, thereby reducing energy recovery and gas emissions. The water content of the dried residue is 2.7. ~7 .5%, the heat of evaporation of moisture was 608.0~690.6 kcal/kg·H2O, which confirmed an energy saving effect of about 8.8% compared to the heat of evaporation of moisture of 714.5 kcal/kg·H2O when no heat storage media was used.
Polymer-modified mortars have an excellent water proofness and water retentivity. Therefore, the study on the moisture diffusion behavior- is very important. The purpose of' this study is to investigate the effects of relative humidity and moisture content in mortars on the moisture diffusion, and the relationship between the shrinkage and moisture diffusion coefficient of polymer-modified mortars cured at $20{\circ}C$ 50% R.H and 80% R.H. The pore size distribution of the polymer-modified mortars was also measured. From the test results, the relative humidity and moisture content in mortars influenced on the moisture diffusion of polymer-modified mortars. The shrinkage and moisture diffusion coefficient of polymer-modified mortars cured at $20{\circ}C$ 50% R.H. was bigger than that cured at $20{\circ}C$ 80% R.H.. and decreased with increasing polymer-cement ratio regardless of polymer type.
