  • Clutch torque control is the key to the ride comfort improvement of a vehicle equipped with AMT (automated manual transmission). For such control, the torque transfer starting point, known as the "kiss point," should be indicated or at least estimated to compensate for the clutch torque. The kiss point changes due to wear, high temperature, and fatigue; as such, it should be estimated while the vehicle is being driven. In this study, the method of kiss point active estimation for an AMT vehicle with a dry-type clutch was devised. The kiss point is learned while the engine is in an idle state and while the transmission is at a neutral gear position. It is determined when the input shaft of the transmission starts to rotate by slowly engaging the clutch. The noise of the shaft speed signal during the slow engagement process is filtered for accurate control. The kiss point estimation at various clutch engagement speeds was analyzed via a vehicle test.

  • The reasonable static and dynamic earth pressure equations were developed by applying the Dubrova's theory and Chang's method to the following cases of wall movements; (1) Active case rotating about the top (2) Active case rotating about the bottom (3) Passive case rotating about the top (4) Passive case rotating about the bottom The equations are presented in accordance with particular wall displacements for the sand and cohesive back-fill, respectively. The results computed by the proposed equations are compared with the conventional theoretical values.

가입자시설 집중보전 시스템 개발

  • 수작업에 의한 보전관리방식은 고장신고에 의하여 수행되는 사후 관리방식으로서 가입자 회선의 급속한 증가에 따라 필요한 보전 인력 확충이 어렵고 보전 작업량의 예측이 힘들어 정확한 보전계획 수립이 불가능하다. 또한 고도로 숙련된 운용요원을 요구하는 수동식 시험대는 교환기종마다 상이하여 획일적인 보전관리가 이루어지지 않는다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 가입자 시설 집중보전 시스템 (SLMOS)을 개발하였다. SLMOS구성은 일정 지역별로 지역보전 센터를설치, 여러 전화국을 수용하는 형태로서, 가입자 고장신고 접수 및 수리시험 요원을 집중시켜 인력절감을 꾀하며 각종 보전업무의 전산화로 가입자 서어비스의 질적 향상 및 능률적인 보전관리를 도모한다. 가입자 고장신고는 집중화된 접수요원이 담당하며 전화번호만 key-in시키면 고장원인 및 수리약속 시간이 CRT화면에 나타나므로 가입자에게 정화한 정보를 제공한다. 지역보전 센터의 프린터에는 접수요원이 받은 고장신고 내용 및 심야에 실시된 예방시험의 결과가 출력되므로 통제석에서 이를 분석, 해당 수리 시험석으로 분배한다. 모든 요원의 작업내용은 고장기연 data base에 저장되므로 지역보전 센터 의 관리자는 원하는 각종 통계, 분석 자료를 출력시킬 수가 있어 보전업무의 효율적 운영을 할 수 있게된다. SLMOS의 software개발에 UNIX 0S를 사용함으로써 machine independence와 시스템의 융통성 및 Portability를 추구하고있으며 신고접수, 수리에 mask기법및 한글사용으로 용이하게 시스템을 사용할 수 있도록 하였다. 자동 선로시험 장치에 $\mu$-processor를 내장시켜 예방시험 기능의 추가와 자동 고장판정으로 운용요원의 기량에 의존하는 방식의 탈피를 시도하였다. 본 연구개발은 81년에 착수하여 84년에 완료할 예정이며 82년말 중앙전화국 시험실에서 연구소 computer와 on-line 방식으로 시험 운용을실시하였다. 83연도에 시스템기능을 보완 및 추가 개발하고 84년도에 현장 및 실용화 시험을거쳐 한국전기통신공사에 공급할 계획이다.

A Model Development for Swash Hydrodynamics Across the Shore (해안선 종단방향에서 소상파의 수동학적 거동 예측모형의 개발)

  • In a physically realistic but simplified manner, an attempt is made in this study to develop a predictive model for swash hydrodynamics across the shore due to the storm waves on an arbitrary beach profile. Date from the SUPERTANK laboratory Data Collection Project are used for the model development, in which experiments were designed to simulate dune erosion under storm conditions at a prototype scale. The model predicts variations of swash height, velocity and period across the beach face in a swash zone. In general, the model proves to be capable of predicting variations of swash height, velocity and period across the shore. Quantitatively better predictions for the swash parameters could be achieved by improving the prediction of the beach face elevation, ymax, where the significant swash height becomes zero.

  • 22.9kV급 가공배전선에서의 뇌격현상은 직접측정이 어렵기 때문에 지금까지 절연협조수준의 도출은 수치적인 모의해석과정에서 얻어진 과전압강도를 근거로 하고 있다. 대표적인 모델에 대해서 만이라도 실측자료를 확보할 수 있다면 해석과정의 정확도를 높이는 중요한 전기가 될 수 있다. 이러한 가공배전선로의 뇌격현상을 측정하기 위한 상용설비를 이용한 경제적 측정시스템을 구성하였다. 접지회로에서 발생하는 과전압으로 인한 인명뿐 아니라 계측설비의 안전성도 확보하고 과 경제성확보를 위하여 전주 중간에 장시간용 UPS 및 파형측정설비를 2중 차폐함 안에 넣어 1점 접지상태가 되도록 고정하고 측정point에 HV divider 및 로고스키코일을 설치하여 한 지점에서의 측정회로를 구성하였다. 전체적으로 뇌격전류 주입 위치에서부터 3지점을 선정하여 측정설비를 설치하고 경제적인 Rs485 multi-drop 회로를 구성하여 통신망을 확보하였다. 직렬통신망에는 뇌격시험 시 발생하는 과전압에 대한 보호회로로서 간단한 수동식 개폐회로를 구성하였다. 측정파형을 전체적으로 전송받는 속도가 약간 늦기는 하나 간단한 data acquisition program을 사용하여 전체 측정회로를 가동시킬 수 있었다.

  • The retarder as a hydraulic brake system in order to assist a service brakes in commercial vehicle is operated by automatic and manual mode due to driver. Braking energy by retarder operation is transmitted to the engine radiator of vehicle cooling system, passing through the retarder oil heat exchanger. At this moment, the retarder ECU performs the function that is controlled a braking torque with consideration for automatic and manual mode, temperature of retarder oil/water, engine coolant temperature, vehicle speed, and etc. In this paper, it deals with the design of retarder control logic and the results of retarder braking performance test regarding a cooling system of retarder and vehicle.

  • In centralized control system, complicated control systems including sensors, power supply and dampers should be required to satisfy the target response of large-scale structures. The practical applications of the centralized control system, however, is very difficult due to high order finite element model of structures, uncertainty of models, and limitations of the excitation system. In this study, the decentralized response-dependent MR damper of which magnetic field is automatically modulated according to the displacement or velocity transferred to the damper without any sensing and computing systems. this decentralized response-dependent MR damper are investigated according to the ranges of relative magnitude between the control force of MR damper and the story shear force of structures by nonlinear time history analysis. Finally, its performance is compared with centralized LQR algorithm which is used in general centralized control theory for a three story building structure.

  • Pulmonary hypertension may be associated with variable conditions such as the hyperkinetic state or pulmonary vascular obstruction. In these, stenosis of the individual pulmonary veins without any cardiac or vascular malformation is very rare. We experienced stenosis of individual pulmonary veins in a 10 months old boy who was admitted with recurrent dyspnea and cyanosis and then underwent angiogram and a lung perfusion scan.

  • A nobel low-cost, simple and unity-power-factor electronic ballast is presented. The proposed electronic ballast employs a bypassing capacitor- and load networks composed of ballast capacitors and small charge pump capacitors as power factor correction circuit combined with the secondary winding of the transformer in the self-excited current-fed push-pull resonant inverter(CF-PPRI), resulting in cost-effectiveness and higher efficiency. By analyzing the princip1es of power factor correction mathematically, optimum design guidelines are presented. Since the lamps are used in power factor correction stage, the input power is automatically adjusted according to the number of the lamps.

  • In this paper describes the process of designing a protection circuit against an open or short electronic ballast. An open electronic ballast creates high voltages in a regular period, which a lies voltage stress on switching devices. On the other hand, a shorted output generates excessive current, causing problems such as heat generation in the ballast and reduced lifespan of semiconductor devices. This study proposes a protection circuit consisting of TTL and passive devices to resolve the problems. The proposed protection circuit offers the benefits of low cost and high reliability. The proposed circuit was connected to an actual ballast to demonstrate its applicability.
