Development of Greenhouse Environment Monitoring & Control System Based on Web and Smart Phone (웹과 스마트폰 기반의 온실 환경 제어 시스템 개발)

  • Monitoring and control of the greenhouse environment play a decisive role in greenhouse crop production processes. The network system for greenhouse control was developed by using recent technologies of networking and wireless communications. In this paper, a remote monitoring and control system for greenhouse using a smartphone and a computer with internet has been developed. The system provides real-time remote greenhouse integrated management service which collects greenhouse environment information and controls greenhouse facilities based on sensors and equipments network. Graphical user interface for an integrated management system was designed with bases on the HMI and the experimental results showed that a sensor data and device status were collected by integrated management in real-time. Because the sensor data and device status can be displayed on a web page, transmitted using the server program to remote computer and mobile smartphone at the same time. The monitored-data can be downloaded, analyzed and saved from server program in real-time via mobile phone or internet at a remote place. Performance test results of the greenhouse control system has confirmed that all work successfully in accordance with the operating conditions. And data collections and display conditions, event actions, crops and equipments monitoring showed reliable results.

  • IoT 산업이 발전하면서, 인간 생활의 3대 요소 중 주거환경 개선을 위한 많은 종류의 스마트 가전제품이 출시되었다. 그 중 스마트 냉장고는 소비자에게 많은 편리함을 제공한다. 하지만 기존에 출시되어져 있는 스마트 냉장고는 아직 스마트폰과 연동되어 다양한 제어를 하는 것이 개발 초기단계에 그쳐있다. 또한 비용적인 부분에서도 소비자가 부담을 느끼게 되므로 이미 출시는 되어있지만 소비자가 사용하기에 대중화되어 있지 않다. 그리고 사용자가 수동적인 제어가 상당부분 필요함으로 판단하여 일반 냉장고와 다를 것이 없다고 판단하였다. 또한 사용자가 장을 볼 때, 이미 구비되어 있는 물품인데도 불구하고 그것을 인식하지 못하여 같은 종류의 식품을 중복되어 구매하는 것이 다반사이다. 또한 음식의 유통기한도 기록하지 않아서 유통기한이 지난 음식을 섭취하고 식중독에 걸리는 일이 종종 발생한다. 이러한 식자재 관리에 대한 피해를 예방하기 위한 연구 과정에서 현대인이 대부분 스마트폰을 사용하고 있다는 사실을 고려하여 터치스크린을 통해 냉장고 안의 식자재를 관리함과 동시에 저장 및 기록할 수 있는 프로그램을 개발하고 추가로 스마트폰에도 동일한 어플리케이션을 개발하여 동시 제어가 가능하도록 설계하였다.

Design of Traffic Control Scheme for Supporting the Fairness of Downstream in Ethernet-PON (이더넷 기반 광가입자망에서 공평성 보장을 위한 하향 트래픽 제어 기법 설계)

  • Ethernet-PON is an emerging access network technology that provides a low-cost method of deploying optical access lines between OLT and ONUs. It has a point-to-multipoint and multipoint-to-point architecture in downstream and upstream direction, respectively. Therefore, downstream packets are broadcast from an OLT toward all ONUs sithout collision. On the other hand, since alt ONUs share a common channel, the collision may be occurred for the upstream transmission. Therefore, earlier efforts on Ethernet-PON have been concentrated on an upstream MAC protocol to avoid collision. But it is needed to control downstream traffic in practical access network, where the network provider limits available bandwidth according to the number of users. In this paper, we propose a traffic control scheme for supporting the fairness of the downstream bandwidth. The objective of this algorithm is to guarantee the fairness of ONUs while maintaining good performance. In order to do this, we define the service probability that considers the past traffic information for downstream, the number of tokens and the relative size of negotiated bandwidth. We develop the simulation model for Ethernet-PON to evaluate the rate-limiting algorithm by using AWESIM. Some results are evaluated and analyzed in terms of defined fairness factor, delay and dropping rate under various scenario.

  • It has a tendency to build Workflow Systems based on the web with the spread of web environment. The important function in Workflow Systems are to automatize job flow according to the predefined regulations, procedures or conditions. Hence, there needs to consider excluding passive jobs, supporting GUI and a migratory information processing for information flow. Distributed Workflow System for workflow of a distributed service system should perform transfer control and Fault-Tolerance between tasks based on process logic, and real time processing. However, the existing mail systems being used are just for transmission and it doesn't fit to automatize job flow. To solve the matter, there needs a Distributed Workflow Engine to design workflow and automatize its control. In this paper, we design a web browser with graphic interface using web mail, a browser creating a script code for a procedural performance. Also, we design a Process-engine has a Preprocessor which tolerates process scheduler for task transaction or server node's faults on distributed environment. The proposed system enhances the reliability and usability of a system reduces the cost rather than a workflow system based on database, for they execute as proxy for a server's fault or suers' absence.

  • 본 연구에서는 손가락의 움직임을 입력받는 햅틱 컨트롤러를 이용하여 물체를 잡거나 놓는 손의 포즈를 생성하여 가상의 물체를 제어할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 다섯 개의 손가락을 움직일 수 있는 경우의 수는 무수히 많아서 이를 위한 모든 모션을 캡쳐하는 것은 매우 힘든 작업이고, 캡쳐한 모든 모션을 수동으로 연결시키는 것도 어려운 일이다. 제안 방법은 햅틱 컨트롤러에서 입력된 다섯 개의 신호를 인공 신경망을 사용하여 손가락의 포즈로 변경해 준다. 이를 위해 입력 신호와 매칭되는 손의 포즈를 이용하여 인공 신경망을 훈련시킨 후, 그 결과를 이용하여 사용자의 입력에 대응하는 손의 포즈를 생성한다. 결과 포즈의 사실성을 높이기 위해 모션 캡쳐 장비로부터 훈련용 데이터를 생성하였다. 본 논문의 방법은 햅틱 컨트롤러에서 동일한 입력을 받더라도 물체의 모양에 대응하는 손의 모션을 생성하는 결과를 보여준다.

A Simulator Development for Determining the Sonar Sensor Configuration of Unmanned Underwater Vehicles Based on a Hold-at-Risk Scenario (위험제어 시나리오 기반의 무인잠수정 소나 센서 배열 선정을 위한 시뮬레이터 개발)

  • This study develops a simulator for determining the sonar sensor configuration of unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs) based on a scenario, in order for UUVs to conduct an effective anti-submarine warfare (ASW). First, we analyze the missions and operational concepts of UUVs in the field of ASW, and then select a Hold-at-Risk scenario as the one with the highest priority. Next, for modeling the components of a simulator, the motion, acoustic characteristic, and environment condition of the platforms (UUV and target submarine) are specified. Especially, based on the beam pattern of each sonar configuration considered in this paper, the passive sonar equation is used to verify target detection, and we further estimate the azimuth and elevation of the target using amplitude and phase of the received signal, respectively. The simulation results show the performance tendency depending on the sonar sensor configurations of a UUV, and the simulator provides a high applicability under various scenarios.

  • Manufacturing conb'ol applications consist of concurrent active components such as robots, AGV's (Automatic Guided Vehicles), and conveyors. Running of manufacturing control programs is interactions among those components. We can enhance the productivity and extendability of manufacturing control applications by using the object-oriented teclmology that models those components as reusable objects. But the objects in current object-oriented technology that encapsulate state and behavior infonnation are passive in a sense that those respond only when messages are sent to them. In this paper, we introduce the Distributed Active Object Systems (DAGS) approach that SUPPOltS active objects. Since active objects encapsulate control infonnation in addition to state and behavior information under COREA/Java-based distributed environment, they can represent manufacturing control components better than the objects in ordimuy object-oriented technology. TIus control infonnation provides an object with a featme that can monitor its own status as well as other object's status connected by intelface valiables. Active objects can initiate a behavior according to the change of those status. Therefore, we can sb-uctmally assemble self-initiating active objects by using intelface variables to construct a system without describing bow to control distributed objects by using message passing. As the DAOS approach supports object composability, we can enhal1ce the productivity and extendability of disbibuted manufactming control applications even better than the ordil1alY object-oriented approach. Also, the DAOS approach supports better component reusability with active objects that encapsulate control information .

  • Existing security solutions such as Firewell and IDS (Intrusion Detection System) have a trouble in getting accurate detection rate about new attack and can not block interior attack. That is, existing securuty solutions have various shortcomings. Shortcomings of these security solutions can be supplemented with mechanism which guarantees an availability of systems. The mechanism which guarantees the survivability of node is various, we approachintrusion telerance using real time response mechanism. The monitoring code monitors related resources of system for survivability of vulnerable systm continuously. When realted resources exceed threshold, monitoring and response code is deployed to run. These mechanism guarantees the availability of system. We propose control mathod about resource monitoring. The monitoring code operates with this method. The response code may be resident in active node for availability or execute a job when a request is occurred. We suggest the node survivability mechanism that integrates the intrusion tolerance mechanism that complements the problems of existing security solutions. The mechanism takes asvantage of the automated service distribution supported by Active Network infrastructure instead of passive solutions. Development of a flower support for real flower decoration Automatic Production System (생화 장식 꽃받침 자동 생산 시스템 개발)

  • A flower support was developed for real flower decoration automation production system using an ultrasonic wave sealer to automatically produce a system. Because a flower support for real flower decoration that was produced manually could not meet the needs of the consumers, this study developed an automated manufacturing system to increase productivity. A flower support for real flower decoration was constructed using a cap consisting of plastic and plate made from non-woven fabric. The guide was designed to transport the cap to the ultrasonic wave sealer and optimal guide was developed from the test according to the material and shape. To produce the entire system, the guides and accessories were weighed and appropriate motors and pulleys were calculated. Control of the automation production system was based on a PCB board, which increased the reliability and security, and a remote controller with manual and automatic modes was prepared. After development, tests of the transfer precision and repetition accuracy revealed an X-axis of 2.7mm, a Y-axis of 1 mm, and a repetition of 0 mm. The productivity was also checked. The automated machine worked 8 hours/day to make 35 supports and 70 Therefore, the automatic system produces 200% more output than manual work
