It has already been 17 years since the first implementation of the Korean College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT). Having been administered so many CSAT tests including practice tests, criticisms have been made against CAST tests being stuck to the same pattern and focusing mainly on knowledge-based items. To address this issue, we analyzed the chemistry items of the Japanese National Center Test for University Admissions (NCTUA) administered in January of 2009 with regard to content factors, behavioral domains, item types, and noted any peculiarities in comparison to CSAT. Also, we estimated the predicted percentage of correct answers from the perspectives of Korean candidates to arrive at implications for chemistry items of CSAT.

To provide some suggestions on the setting of mathematics test in the College Scholastic Ability Test(CSAT), this paper analyses the result of mathematics test in the CSAT from 2005 to 2011, on which the 7th national mathematics curriculum has been applied. From the result, four suggestions are drawn out. First, the mathematics test needs to be easier to reduce the burden of test-taker. Accordingly, the number of items and their scores need to be adjusted. Second, the proportion of multiple-choice items has to be reduced whereas that of short-answer items has to be increased to enhance the function of the CSAT as a selection test. Third, the sub-item system needs to be adopted. Fourth, new item-types have to be developed.

The present study aims to investigate lexical coverage of BNC (British National Corpus) word lists and 2015 Basic Vocabulary of Ministry of Education in 2020 EBS-linked textbooks and CSAT. For the data analysis, AntWordProfiler was used to find lexical coverage and frequency. The findings showed that Students can understand 95% of the tokens with a vocabulary of BNC 3,000 and 4,000 word-families in 2020 EBS-linked listening and reading books respectively. 98% can be understood with 4,000 word-families in the EBS-linked listening book while the same lexical coverage can be covered with 8,000 word-families in the EBS-linked reading textbook. By the way, 95% of the tokens can be understood with 2,000 and 4,000 word-families in 2020 CSAT listening and reading tests respectively, while 98% requires 4,000 and 7,000 word-families in the 2020 listening and reading tests respectively. In summary, students should understand more words in 2020 EBS-linked textbooks than in 2020 CSAT tests confirming Kim's (2016) findings. The study tried to investigate the school curriculum organization and teacher's perceptions about test subjects in vocational education division of the college scholastic ability test based in the 2015 revised national curriculum. This study asked vocational teachers to fill in basic questionnaire that consists of 9 relevant and subjective items for the school curriculum organization and test subjects in vocational education division of the college scholastic ability test based in the 2015 revised national curriculum. For this, the survey was conducted 58 schools of 92 schools in technical specialized high schools, meister high schools and vocational high schools about test subjects of 2015 revised national curriculum. As a result, the 'Successful career life' subject was 53.5%, the most organized in the first grade. 'test course 1' was 55.2% and 'test course 2' was 72.4% the most organized in the first grade. The Opinions on the test courses were the highest in the two subjects in the same series as the present. The teacher's perceptions showed that the current test subjects in vocational education division of the college scholastic ability test are valid. The most important factor affecting difficulty was 'The Ministry Education's policy' in vocational education division of the college scholastic ability test.

In this study, we conducted a survey on 12,000 parents of general high school students to analyze the users of EBS lectures the CSAT(College Scholastic Ability Test) and the reducing effect of private educational expenditures. Most of parents encouraged their children to study the EBS lectures, and actually the students listened to the EBS lectures. Also, there were a lot of suggestions which the EBS lectures helped to reduce private educational expenditures. 25% of whole respondent was reduced their private education expense, and 65% of them answered that educational opportunities were provided uniformly by the EBS lectures. Finally many of them opposed to the monetization of EBS lectures with internet.

이 논문에서는 한국의 수능 시험에 대응하는 일본 센터 시험의 세계사B 문제를 해결하는 시스템을 만들고 그 성능을 평가했다. 이 시스템은 문제의 각 보기의 신뢰도를 검증하여 어떤 보기가 참인지를 결정한다. 보기 검증을 위해 지식 베이스 기반, 정보 검색 기반, 시간적 제약 기반 검증을 사용하였다. 성능 평과 결과 6개년도 시험 중 5개 시험에서 통계적으로 의미 있는 결과를 얻었다. 이 시스템은 영어를 대상으로 하나, 한국어에도 존재하는 리소스를 사용했기 때문에 한국어에서도 같은 방법론을 적용할 수 있을 것으로 본다. 후속 연구로는 보기의 의미적 분석과 개체명 이외의 정보에 대한 검색이 필요하다.
