The present study explored differences of catalog and non-catalog shoppers in their beliefs, attitude and buying intention in relation to Internet apparel shopping. Respondents of this study were 352 general consumers (145 non-catalog shoppers; 207 catalog shoppers) residing in the US. The t-test and chi-square analysis were used to study differences between the two groups. Differences between catalog shoppers and non-catalog shoppers were found in beliefs about and attitude toward Internet apparel shopping as well as apparel buying intention through the Internet. Also, catalog shoppers were less satisfied with apparel shopping through local shops than were non-catalog shoppers. However, no difference was found in income and education levels of the two groups.

This study aims to explore and understand better how consumers' value orientation relates to consumer's intention to use and Word-of-Mouth behaviors in using Web sites. Consumers have perceptions of the shopping value they acquire during their experiences in navigating Web sites. This consumer's shopping value is considered as utilitarian shopping value, information shopping value, and hedonic shopping value. The current paper proposes that value orientation of consumers in Web sites would consequently affect consumer attitude such as intention to use and Word-of-Mouth. In addition, the research investigates the moderating effect of consumer's personality between consumer's shopping value and consumers' attitude in Web sites. For testing the hypothesized research model, survey and Lisrel analysis are conducted. The findings emphasize that online providers need to focus on the perceived values most salient to consumers in order to improve their profitability. Furthermore, providers may also identify the reason why consumers perceive these values much lower when using the Web sites.
With the widespread adoption of mobile devices, such as smart phones and smart pads, as well as the rapid growth of mobile technologies, consumer shopping patterns are changing. This study investigates key factors of consumer purchasing intention in a mobile shopping mall context by incorporating trust belief into the theory of planned behavior. We posit perceived usefulness, perceived enjoyment, perceived ease of use, and trust belief as antecedents of behavioral attitude toward mobile shopping malls. Moreover, social influence and security are identified as key enablers of trust belief on mobile shopping malls. Data collected from 154 consumers with purchasing experience in mobile shopping malls are empirically tested against a research model using partial least squares. Analysis results show that behavioral attitude and perceived behavioral control significantly influence purchasing intention. Moreover, this study reveals the significant effects of perceived usefulness and perceived enjoyment on behavioral attitude. Trust belief indirectly influences purchasing intention through behavioral attitude and is significantly affected by social influence. Understanding consumer purchasing decision-making processes in mobile shopping malls can help service providers to develop effective marketing and operation strategies and campaigns.
The purposes of this study identify how attributes of the website impact on consumer attitude toward the website. For this purpose, the study tested covariance structural model which set relationships among independent variables (interactivity and shopping value), meditated variables(relationship commitment), and dependent variables(attitude toward website). The data were collected from a sample of 239 internet shopper of college female students. The covariance structural model and research hypothesis analyzed by using SPSS 16.0 and AMOS 5.0 program. The results are as follows: First, the structural model is accepted significantly. Second, interactivity and shopping value of website have a positive influence on relationship commitment. Third, interactivity, shopping value of website, and relationship commitment have a positive impact on attitude toward the website. Forth, even if shopping value has not a positive influence on attitude toward the website, it was found to have a significant effect on attitude toward the website through the relationship commitment.
The purpose of this paper is to examine the factors influencing on loyalty in US online shopping malls. The study proposed a model to investigate the relationship among quality of sites, satisfaction, attitude, and loyalty. The hypotheses were examined by analyzing a structural equation model. 280 US samples were used for the final analysis. The results show that this model demonstrates good fit for the samples. The ease of use was found to be a significant variable in their satisfaction, while it did not have the direct effect on attitude toward the sites. The information quality was found to be a crucial variable in consumers' satisfaction and attitude toward the site. Satisfaction directly affected attitude as well as loyalty, and attitude also directly affected loyalty. Thus, the structural relationship among the variables of customers' loyalty was verified. This research provides practical insights into US consumer behaviors that would be beneficial to marketers when they make decisions for the US e-commerce market.

The purposes of this research were to segment consumer groups according to sportswear benefits sought and to find the differences among the groups in regard to domestic vs imported brand attitudes, internet vs department store attitudes, and sportswear purchasing behavior. The subjects used for the research were 773 male and female consumers who were residents in Seoul. The data were analyzed by factor analysis, cluster analysis, ANOVA, and Duncan test. The results showed that there were four sportswear benefit segments: figure compensation/ ostentation, individuality, comfort/function, and youth-oriented groups. Statistical analyses showed that the four sportswear benefit segments were different in regard to imported brand attitudes, department store attitudes, and sportswear purchasing behavior. For example, figure compensation/ ostentation segment had more positive attitude toward imported brands and department stores, considered design and advertisement important as sportswear selection criteria, and had a highest expenditure on sportswear purchase. The implications of the research were discussed.
The present study examines the role of subjectively perceived factors of the attitude toward web shopping in forming an intention to use a web shopping intention. An integrative research model is presented and tested empirically. It includes the following three aspects of belief in Davis' TAM: perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived enjoyment. Specially, internet self-efficacy, or the belief in one's capabilities to organize and execute courses of Internet actions required to produce given attainments, is a potentially important factor in efforts to gain more favorable attitude toward web shopping close the digital divide that separates experienced Internet users from novices. Prior research on Internet self-efficacy has been limited to examining specific task performance and narrow behavioral domains rather than overall attainments in relation to general Internet use, and has not yielded evidence of reliability and construct validity. Survey data were collected to develop a reliable operational measure of Internet self-efficacy and to examine its construct validity. Also, much previous research has established that perceived ease of use is an important factor influencing user acceptance and usage behavior of information technologies. However, very little research has been conducted to understand how that perception forms and changes over time. The present study examines that higher internet self-efficacy is more getting favorable web shopping attitude, and web shopping intention as more as usefulness, enjoyment through the internet.
This study classifies review attributes into ratings, number of comments and image information in online shopping mall to verify their impact on brand attitude and purchase decision and e-WOM intention. Use SPSS 23.0 for frequency analysis, factor analysis and regression analysis. The results showed that review attributes have a positive effect on brand attitudes, purchase decision and e-WOM intention, but the number of comments has not affect on purchase decision. Brand attitude has a positive effect on purchase decision and e-WOM intention. Brand attitude has media effect in the relationship between ratings, image information and purchase decision, and in the relationship between review attributes and e-WOM intention. As these results, consumers don't always like to have a lot of comments. and should allow to focus on high ratings and photo reviews as much as possible when writing reviews.
This study examines primarily the effects of perceived risk and scarcity massage on consumers in CATV homeshopping. For consumers, the perceived risk is the cause of delaying purchase decision in CATV Homeshopping while scarcity message in the Ad facilitate purchasing intention in the CATV homeshopping. And another important characteristic of consumer which exerts impact on the response of consumer to the Ad and the product is the frequency of purchasing experience. Thus the purpose of this study is to test the effect of 3 factors on consumer's response to homeshopping Ad and product: one is perceived risk, another is scarcity message and the third is consumer's difference in purchasing. And these are defined as independent variables. The responses of the consumer, the dependent variables of this test are measured in three dimensions; 1) the purchasing intention of the product, 2) the attitude toward the Ad, and 3) the attitude toward product of the consumer. 110 housewives are sampled and assigned to 4 experimental groups. All the groups first watched a video-taped homeshopping Ad messages, and then filled up their responses on the administered questionnaire. The results of this study shows as follows: 1) Perceived risk has negative effect to consumer response. 2) Scarcity message has positive effect to consumers response. 3) But especially perceived risk has negative effect to high frequency purchasing experience group. 4) Scarcity message has also negative effect to high frequency purchasing experience group. 5) The interaction effect of perceived risk and scarcity message is most prominent to the consumers of high frequent purchasing experience.
