Evaluation of Load-Carrying Capacity Loss due to Corrosion in Thin-Walled Section Steel Members (판폭두께비가 큰 휨부재의 부식발생에 따른 구조성능평가에 관한 연구)

  • The use of thin-walled flexural members has proven to be a practical way to achieve the lowest cost in the construction of prefabricated long-span, low-rise building frames in steel. On the other hand, most of these structures are subjected to corrosion due to environmental exposure, which can reduce their carrying capacity. Corrosion damage is a serious problem for these structures as it causes thickness loss. That is, the class of a section (plastic, compact, non-compact, or slender) may change from one to another due to the loss of thickness of the compression flange and web due to corrosion. In this study, the effects of corrosion on thin-walled members in long-span steel frames were evaluated with regard to the moment-rotation curve, initial stiffness, maximum load capacity, stiffness in the post-maximum capacity, and energy absorption.

  • The purpose of this study is to get a more precise frequency of hollow core slabs by comparing the observed values from the actual free vibration tests and the predicted values based on the analysis model. The actual free vibration tests were carried out in the construction field using ${\Omega}$ shaped hollow core slabs. Modal analysis is conducted based on the analysis model that takes into account the differences in section properties due to void parts of slab. The differences between the predicted values based on the modal analysis with analysis model and the measured data from the actual tests range from 2~7%. This study demonstrates that the analysis model that incorporates void parts of slab could be used in evaluating serviceability of hollow core slabs with reasonable accuracies.

  • This study will make P-M interaction diagram of residual capacity at fire-damaged High strength concrete column with polypropylene fiber. Evaluating capacity of column decreasing spalling with P-M interaction diagram is important. because high strength concrete column with polypropylene fiber isn't section area loss. P-M interaction diagram that is made to analyze according to a various parameters is useful index for design and evaluating capacity of columns. In this study, spalling, temperature distribution of interior column, residual strength and movement of column in eccentric loading are studied with expose time of high temperature. For study fire test that is similar real act, and after cooling in normal condition residual strength of specimen is estimated. And this study use DIANA(Displacement Analyzer) for analyzing nonlinear analysis. with experiment temperature and strength data.

  • Prestressed composite girders provide efficient composite action by applying prestress to the sub-encasing concrete. In this study, an enhanced prestressed composite girder with forms suspended from the steel girder is utilized. Long-term behavior of the prestressed composite girder is estimated using age-adjusted effective modulus method, which is verified experimentally using measurements obtained from an in-service bridge. Then, parametric study is carried out to investigate the influences caused by ambient temperature, humidity, prestressing and concrete casting date.

  • In this paper we proposed a new structure of spatial combining power amplifier working in 60GHz global unlicensed band(56-64GHz) for the backhaul in the 5 generation mobile systems. The proposed structure is suitable to realize an antipodal finline transition in millimeter wave band, in which the size of cross section of waveguide becomes about a few mm ${\times}$ a few mm, due to its compact structure of the transition and shows effective heat sinking characteristics because its ground plane can contact to the body metal. However, the HFSS simulation results showed the return loss improvement by 1.27dB and the same insertion loss of -1.65dB compared with the conventional structure, which said nevertheless the advantages, there was no deterioration in the performance.

Epoxy Resin을 이용한 초박형 실리콘 박리 공정에 대한 연구

  • 다른 재료에 비해 에너지 변환 효율의 관점에서 높은 경쟁력을 가진 결정질 실리콘은 지난 수십 년 동안 그 특성이 태양전지 분야에 널리 이용되어 왔다. 하지만 결정질 실리콘 웨이퍼는 일반적으로 제조 단계에서 많은 양의 에너지를 소비하고 절단 단계에서 절단 손실(Kerf-loss)이 발생된다. Epoxy Resin을 이용한 Kerf-less Wafering은 초박형 실리콘 웨이퍼 제조 기술 중 하나로, 비교적 간단한 장비와 공정을 통하여 절단 손실 없이 $50{\mu}m$이하의 초박형 실리콘 웨이퍼를 얻을 수 있는 기술이다. 실리콘과 Epoxy Resin 간의 열팽창 계수 차이를 이용하여 초박형 실리콘을 박리 시키는 기술로, 실리콘 기판 위에 Epoxy Resin으로 stress inducing layer를 올려 공정을 진행한다. stress inducing layer를 경화시키는 열처리가 끝나고 급냉되는 과정에서 stress inducing layer에 의해 실리콘 기판에 큰 응력이 가해지게 되고 실리콘 기판에 crack이 발생된다. 공정이 계속 됨에 따라 발생된 crack은 실리콘 표면과 평행한 방향으로 전파 되고 초박형 실리콘 layer가 실리콘 기판에서 박리 된다. 본 실험에서 중요한 공정 변수로는 stress inducing layer의 구성성분 및 두께, 열처리 온도 및 시간, cooling rate 등이 있다. 이러한 공정 변수들을 조절 하여 Epoxy Resin을 이용하여 $100{\mu}m$ 이하의 박리된 wafer를 얻을 수 있었다. 박리된 wafer의 단면과 두께를 Scanning Electron Microscopy(SEM)을 통해 관찰 하였고, 이를 통해 초박형 실리콘 박리 공정에 대한 연구를 진행하였다.

An Analysis of Attenuation Effect of Pressure Head Using an Air Chamber (공기실을 사용한 압력수두의 완화효과에 대한 분석)

  • An air chamber is designed to keep the pressure from exceeding a predetermined value, or to prevent low pressures and column separation. Therefore, it can be used to protect against rapid transients in a pipe system following abrupt pump stoppage. In this research, an air chamber was applied to a hypothetical pipe system to analyze attenuation effect of pressure head for different air volumes, locations, chamber areas, coefficients of orifice loss and polytropic exponents. With an increase of air volume, the maximum pressure head at pump site is decreased and the minimum pressure head is increased. For different locations and areas of the chamber, the attenuation effects do not show much difference. Also, as the orifice loss coefficient increases, the maximum pressure head is decreased. For different polytropic exponents, isothermal process shows lower maximum pressure head than that of the adiabatic process.

  • A multilayer two-stage LC bandpass filter using low-temperature cofired-ceramic(LTCC) is proposed in this paper. The proposed bandpass filter is composed of two ceramic substrates with different dielectric constant instead of single ceramic material from top to bottom layer. Inductive elements are designed in a low permitivity ceramic layer to reduce parasitic effects and loss, while capacitive elements are designed in a high permitivity ceramic layer for size reduction. The proposed filter has 950 MHz center &equency, 118 MHz tractional bandwidth, and 3.5 dB insertion loss. And, the total size of this filter is 2.5${\times}$2.5${\times}$l.4mm$^3$. The performance of filter is analyzed by changing coupling capacitance between each resonator.

  • In this paper, we present the analysis of radio wave propagation characteristics in curved tunnels. Tunnel propagation models are performed in two cases which are using ray-tracing method for straight tunnels and geometrical optics extension to the standard hybrid waveguide model for curved ones. By regression analysis for measured power based on distance between the transmitter and the received antenna in tunnels that have 3.5 m $\times$ 6 m cross section and limited wall depth path loss are 0.19 dB/m for straight section and 0.68 dB/m for curved ones. By comparing model analysis with measurement in tunnels, it has been shown that the simulated results of tunnel propagation models are similar to the measured values.

  • Our study aims to understand the flow of liquid in an open-top rectangular microchannel that can be used in micro total analysis systems ($\mu$-TAS) because it has advantages in terms of light transmission and energy efficiency. We measured the liquid velocity using particle tracking technique and conducted a simulation with computational fluid dynamics by altering the area of channel cross section and channel length for the capillary-driven flow in the open-top rectangular microchannel. When liquid water drops to an entrance of the fabricated microchannel with a height of 20 μm and a width of 20 ${\mu}m$, it flows along the microchannel by only capillary force. In the wetting behavior of the liquid, important parameters of this flow are channel size, contact angle and liquid properties such as surface tension and viscosity, which are used to control the flow of liquid in the microchannel.
