R-tree Update Technique for Indexing the Positions of Moving Objects (이동 객체 위치 색인을 위한 R-트리 갱신 기법)

  • 최근에 이동 객체의 위치를 추적하는 기술은 여러 응용 분야에서 중요성이 증대되고 있다. 그러나 지속적으로 움직이는 이동 객체의 위치를 추적하기 위해서는 매우 많은 수의 인덱스 변경 연산을 수행하여야 하므로 R-트리와 같은 전통적인 공간 인덱스 구조로는 처리하기 어렵다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 객체의 움직임을 간단한 선형 함수로 가정하여 색인하는 연구들이 있어왔지만, 실제 응용에서는 객체의 움직임이 매우 복잡하므로 이러한 방법을 이용하기 적합하지 않다. 본 논문에서는 복잡한 움직임을 가지는 객체를 효율적으로 색인하기 위한 R-트리의 지연 갱신 기법을 제안한다. 이 기법은 객체가 이동할 때마다 트리의 구조를 변경하지 않고, 객체가 이전에 속해 있던 R-트리의 MBR(Minimum Bounding Rectangle)을 벗어날 때만 트리의 구조를 변경하므로 R-트리의 갱신 연산 비용을 크게 줄일 수 있다. 뿐만 아니라, 기본적인 R-트리의 구조와 연산을 그대로 이용하므로 다양한 R-트리 변종 트리에서도 쉽게 적용이 가능하고, R-트리를 이용하여 이미 구축되어 있는 다양한 응용 환경에 쉽게 이용할 수 있다.

Development of High-Speed Width-Changing Pattern in Continuous Caster (연속주조기의 몰드 폭 변경 패턴 개발)

  • Four patterns for width adjustment were studied with an aim to increase the width-adjustment speed in continuous casting. The main goals are to minimize the actuating force of a WAM actuator, to develop a deformation analysis model of a solidified shell in the mold, and to induce the main limit factor for the speedup of width adjustment. On the basis of the width-adjustment experiment, the notable features of four patterns types were considered, and we compared the corresponding actuating forces. For comparing the driving forces of the patterns, during the experiment, the same casting speed was maintained for each pattern. To optimize the parameter of the deformation analysis model of the solidified shell, the experiment results were applied to them. To speed up width adjustment and to reduce the driving force, we controlled the pattern parameters. The most effective pattern was the fast-mode pattern, and the taper was the main parameter that helped reduce the driving forces during the motion of the actuator.

  • 본 논문은 속도 운전 영역 확장을 위한 자동 진상각 제어 알고리즘을 제안한다. 속도 운전 영역 확장을 위하여 상전류의 위상을 역기전력의 위상에 대하여 진상으로 제어한다. 기존의 진상각 제어 방식은 속도 - 진상각 참조표를 이용하거나 추가적인 하드웨어를 구성하여 제어한다. 참조표를 이용한 제어 방식의 경우 전동기의 특성에 매우 민감하며 운전점이 변경될 경우 제어 특성이 현저히 나빠지는 단점이 있으며, 추가적인 하드웨어를 이용하는 경우 전동기의 제정수에 의존적임과 동시에 제어 시스템의 부피 및 비용 증가와 같은 문제를 야기시킨다. 본 논문은 유효 전압의 크기와 전류 제어기의 궤환 전압을 이용하여 필요한 진상각을 계산한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 방식의 유용함은 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통하여 타당함을 검증하였다.

  • The Launch Vehicle is made up of one system with several parts gathered together. In order to make the various parts developed in various organizations into one system, it is necessary to confirm all designs at certain point in time. Change after the design fix require controlled process to analyze the impact of the changes, to decide whether or not to make the change, and to verify that the change was implemented as intended. The configuration management procedure implemented in the above manner is also applied to the development process of KSLV-II. The CAD tool and PLM are linked with each other to perform configuration management for the 3D model, 2D drawing, and the configuration identification document.

CFD Based Shape Design of Guide Vane for Fan Filter Unit (전산유체해석을 이용한 Fan Filter Unit(FFU)의 가이드 베인 형상설계)

  • A fan filter unit (FFU) is a device which supplies clean air from the ceiling in a clean room. With an increase in its size, velocity variation occurs within the exhaust plane and this damage the product quality or productivity. Hence, a guide vane is installed inside the device to enhance the velocity uniformity. Because the vane reduces the flow rate for a given pumping power, an optimum design is required to achieve velocity uniformity while minimizing the flow rate reduction at the same time. To find a geometry that satisfies these requirements, a series of numerical simulations has been conducted while changing the angle and length of the guide vanes. By changing the geometry of the side guide vane, the velocity uniformity increased by 3.7% and the flow rate decreased by 1.5%. For the center guide vane, the velocity uniformity increased by 2.9% and the flow rate decreased by 0.7%.

  • Modern drones are equipped with miniaturized mission equipment capable of performing various tasks such as surveillance and reconnaissance. Consequently, these mission equipment are exposed to disturbances like wind loads and motor rotations, which can lead to instability in the operation of the Electro-Optical Targeting System (EOTS). Specifically, simple step inputs for changing the line of sight in EOTS can cause abrupt changes in speed, inducing overshoot and potentially creating instability along with other disturbances. To address this, a velocity profile was designed so that the angular velocity moves in a trapezoidal shape when changing the EOTS line of sight. A Double-loop controller was designed to apply this profile as an input to the external loop receiving position feedback. The system's stability was then compared, and the velocity profile was optimized within a stable range by varying maximum speed and acceleration.

A Study on the improvement of ATH surveillance radar to solve the instability of the target velocity (훈련함 탐색레이더 표적 속도 불안정 현상 개선에 관한 연구)

  • The optimum solutions of the instability of the target velocity were studied to solve the case of the target velocity of the ship approaching at a speed of ◯◯knots and deviated by more than ± 10knots, while the surveillance radar rotating speed was varied, while the maximum search range of the radar was evaluated during the operational test & evaluation. The instability of the target velocity did not enable the radar to calculate the information of the target precisely and to degrade the probability of hit and the quality of the target management. The improvement to handle the deviation of the target velocity was optimally determined by using a fishbone diagram to find 9 reasons based on 4M1E, and the algorithm of the target management was identified as the crucial reason. In this study, the improvement was applied to the filter algorithm to stabilize the target velocity in the target tracking management SW by reviewing the current algorithm to find the velocity of the target and recognizing that the problem does not apply to different 𝜶, 𝞫 values when the antenna changed the rotating speed. The ability of the improvement to work was tested on board.

  • 가을이 익어가는 무렵, 삼청동 길은 아름다웠다. 갑작스레 장소가 변경된 탓에 혼란이 있기는 했지만 그 모든 일상의 번거로움을 상쇄할 만큼 무르익는 가을의 삼청동은 충분히 아름다웠다. 배우 지진희와의 만남은 그 감상의 연장선 위에 있었다. 그날의 쾌청한 공기와 설익은 낙엽 내음, 적당한 햇살과 멋들어진 카페, 그리고 몸과 마음이 건강한 배우라는 직업의 한 남자. 모든 것이 조화로웠고 부드러웠다.

A Vehicle Detection Algorithm for a Lane Change (차선 변경을 위한 차량 탐색 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, we propose the method and system which determines the condition for safe and unsafe lane changing. To determine the condition, first, the system sets up the Region of Interest(ROI) on the neighboring lane. Second, a dangerous vehicle is extracted during the line changing. Third, the condition is determined to wm or not by calculating the moving direction, relative distance md relative velocity. To set up the ROI, the only one side lane is detected and the interested region is expanded. Using the coordinate transformation method, the accuracy of the ROI raised. To correctly extract the vehicle on the neighboring lane, the Adaptive Background Update method and Image Segmentation method which uses the feature of the travelling road are used. The object which is extracted by the dangerous vehicle is calculated the relative distance, the relative velocity and the moving average. And then in order to ring, the direction of the vehicle and the condition for safe and unsafe is determined. As minimizes the interested region and uses the feature of the travelling road, the computational quantity is reduced and the accuracy is raised and a stable result on a travelling road images which demands a high speed calculation is showed.

Development of Cut-in Lane Changing Model Based on Observed Driver's Behavior in Uninterrupted Traffic Flow (연속교통류에서의 끼어들기 행태 분석 및 모형 개발)

  • Microscopic freeway simulation models project the uncertain values of performance measures for subject traffic conditions by explaining drivers' driving behavior with lane changing and car-following models. However, the existing lane changing models are limited to gap acceptance oriented passive behavior of drivers and not able to capture more-or-less aggressive driving behavior(e.g. cut-in lane changing) ordinarily obseved in field. This paper suggests the definition of cut-inlane changing and presents its characteristics based on the findings from two different freeway on- and off-ramp sections. In addition, this paper proposes a new lane changing model capable of handling both passive and active drivers' driving behavior for better performance of simulations. The proposed lane changing model was tested with Hanyang Simulatin (HYTSIM), a microscopic freeway simulation program developed for this study. The HYTSIM simulation results reflecting the performance of the proposed lane changing model were compared against the field data. The test results showed that the distribution of gaps collected when vehicles change lanes were statistically identical to the field data at 95% confidence level.
