Design of Framework on Mobile Classroom Suitable for Ubiquitous Environment (유비쿼터스 환경에 적합한 모바일 교실 프레임워크 설계)

  • In the near future, we can access the information whenever we want, wherever we use because almost devices in ubiquitous environment are connected by either wired or wirelss networks. Especially, u-Learning which emphasizes on pedagogical property is enable to improve learning abilities. As researches of the previous u-Learning, there have been learning by mobile devices such as PDAs as well as the smart classroom which makes the remote students participate in the existing class. However, these researches have not satisfied pedagogical, cooperative and ubiquitous properties yet. Thus we suggest the framework for both local and mobile classroom, which can make the properties easy to satisfy.

Composition and Attributes of Modeling Instructions and Factors of Teacher Competence in Elementary Science Classes: A Qualitative Meta-Analysis (초등과학 모델링 수업의 구성과 속성 및 교사 역량 요인에 대한 질적 메타 분석)

  • This study explored the composition and attributes of modeling instructions and factors of teacher competence in elementary science classes. The study also examined educational research papers regarding modeling instruction cases in elementary schools and elementary teachers' perceptions of modeling instructions using qualitative meta-analysis, which can integrate findings from qualitative research. This investigation led to creating a small group to compose modeling instructions. Furthermore, the modeling approach was demonstrated to go through the process of generating, evaluating, and modifying the model. The attributes of modeling instructions can be divided into factors that affect modeling instructions and competence factors necessary for students participating in modeling instructions. The factors affecting modeling instructions included "small group interactions" and "time limitation in classes." The competence factors necessary for students participating in modeling instructions included "scientific knowledge," "meta-modeling knowledge," and the "ability to control emotions." The teacher competence factors in modeling instructions regarding knowledge, function, and attitude were explored. The teacher competence factors in elementary modeling instructions included "meta-modeling knowledge," "knowledge of modeling assessment," "emotional support for students," and the "awareness of modeling value." Accordingly, this study offered some recommendations for effective modeling instructions.

  • The purpose of this study was to clarify the attributes of the concept of clinical performance skills in simulation-based practical training and to organize them in order to establish theoretical foundations for clinical competence. The research method employed was the concept analysis process of Walker and Avant (2011). Papers related to clinical competence published between January 2000 and April 2023 were selected by searching various databases such as PubMed, CINAHL, Ovid-Medline, DBpia, KISS, and others. The attributes of clinical competence were found to be (1) the clinical competence of knowledge, judgment, and skills, (2) Adaptability to Changing Healthcare Environment (3) the ability to perform nursing roles appropriately in response to the demands of nursing subjects. This study is significant as a concept analysis study that recognizes the importance of nursing from a nursing perspective in a situation where research on clinical competence is active in simulation-based training. Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to develop training programs and tools including the attributes of clinical competence in simulation nursing education and to measure the effectiveness of the programs using them. nursing perspective in a situation where research on clinical competence is active.   • The purpose of this paper is deriving philosophical foundations of information services by clarifying its concepts and attributes. Clarifying its concepts and attributes is based on the origin of the term information services, definitions and contents, historical and social perspectives. The theory of information services was reorganized by logically demonstrating that the term "information services" is most suitable name to represent its essence, attributes, and activities. The philosophy of information services has the key elements as instruction, information, guidance, and service in humanistic aspects which have been shown consistently in the origin of the term, definitions, historical and social perspectives. This paper tried to establish philosophical basis for information services that is focused on these elements.

  • The purpose of this study was to find the effective way of composition in terms of UX(user experience) when configuring UI(user interface) of educational game by utilizing ET(eye-tracking). Experimental material was a game related to the middle school 'force and motion'. SMI (SensoMotoric Instruments)' iView X TM RED was used in order to collect eye movement data. The results of this study was as follows. First, the lead element for fast visual attention should be placed in the center when the educational game UI is configured. Second, burton that changes character's features and the information about them should be placed close to each other. Third, learning quiz caught visual attention faster when it was placed on the left side of UI. Fourth, when one UI was overlapped by another, parts that were not overlapped was fixated, too.

  • 본 논문은 기존의 방송교육이 지니고 있는 정지성, 획일성, 일방통신성, 순간성 등의 문제점을 해결할 수 있는 하나의 방안으로 디지털도서관기술을 기반으로 한 방송교육정보 인프라 구축 방안을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 방송사가 디지털도서관을 설립하여 자사의 방송교육정보 인프라를 구축하고 이를 통합할 수 있는 $\ulcorner$통합 가상방송교육센타$\lrcorner$를 인터넷상에 설립하여 통합 탐색이 가능한 인터페이스를 제공한다면 방송교육의 목적을 배가할 수 있다. 디지털도서관기술을 기반으로 한 방송 교육정보 인프라 구축 방안을 방송교육프로그램의 정보적 속성을 분석한 DB 프로그램의 설계, 멀티미디어기술을 기반으로 하여 서지정보와 본문정보가 상호 연동된 DB의 구축과 인터넷 웹서비스 기술에 의하여 서비스가 가능하도록 설계하는 것이다.

A Study on Considerations for Acceptance of LRM Through Analysis of RDA 2020 to Reflect LRM (RDA 2020의 LRM 수용 방식 분석을 통한 LRM 적용시 고려사항에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, we propose a plan to reflect LRM in various library-related standards or systems through analyzing the reflection of LRM in RDA. To this end, LRM and RDA 2020 were analyzed in terms of entities, relationships, attributes, and encoding schemes. First of all, for the mapping of entities, relationships, and attributes, all properties and relationships were extracted for each entity of RDA, LRM elements corresponding to each property and relationship were found and mapped, and encoding schemes were additionally compared. As a result, the things to consider in the standards and systems to which LRM is to be applied are: first, entities development considering the LRM hierarchy; second, new relation or shortcut path relation development; third, attributes expansion according to the entities considering the LRM hierarchical structure, and fourth, the development of various encoding scheme. Through this study, it will be possible to find an application plan using the application of RDA as a model in standards or systems to accept LRM.

  • The purpose of this paper is to suggest more effective interpretation method to enrich visitors' satisfaction and attitudes on cultural heritage. The paper examined the difference of interpretation effectiveness and the relationship of interpretation attributes and visitors' satisfaction and attitudes on cultural heritage according to the type of interpretation media. The result of empirical analysis shows that there is significant difference of interpretation attributes, visitors' satisfaction and attitudes on cultural heritage according to interpretation media type. Also the different interpretation attributes have effects on visitors' satisfaction, and the degree of effect of each attribute on attitudes on cultural heritage are different according to interpretation media. Most important and meaningful finding is that educational interpretation is also necessary to enhance visitors' behavior to cultural heritage preservation as well as interesting and effective interpretation have strong impacts on visitors' satisfaction. Other implications are also suggested.

LRM's Characterics and Applications Plan Through Comparing with FRBR (FRBR과 비교를 통한 LRM의 특징 및 적용방안)

  • This study is to grasp LRM's feature and applications plan to reflect LRM to cataloging related standards and individual system through comparing and analyzing LRM with the FR model in terms of entities, attributes, and relationships. The application plan is suggested as follows. First, the entity can be extended by defining sub-entities of each entity in the standards and the individual system in order to reflect LRM, even though entities such as families, groups, identifiers, authorized access points, concepts, objects, events, agency and rules have been deleted in LRM. Second, the attribute should be subdivided in the standards and the individual system in order to apply LRM, though many attributes have been changed to relationships for linked data and decreased in LRM. In particular, more specific and detailed property names in the standards and the individual system should be clearly presented, and the vocabulary encoding scheme corresponding to each property should be also developed, since properties with similar functions or repetition in various entities, and material specific properties are generalized and integrated into comprehensive property names. Third, the relationship should be extended through newly declaring the refinement or subtype of the relationship and considering a multi-level relationship, since the relationship itself is general and abstract under increasing the number of relationships in comparing to the property. This study will be practically utilized in cataloging related standards and individual system for applying LRM.
