An Accelerated Iterative Method for the Dynamic Analysis of Multibody Systems (반복 계산법 및 계산 가속기법에 의한 다물체 동역학 해법)

  • An iterative solution technique is presented to analyze the dynamic systems of rigid bodies subjected to kinematic constraints. Lagrange multipliers associated with the constraints are iteratively computed by monotonically reducing an appropriately defined constraint error vector, and the resulting equation of motion is solved by a well-established ODE technique. Constraints on the velocity and acceleration as well as the position are made to be satisfied at joints at each time step. Time integration is efficiently performed because decomposition or orthonormalization of the large matrix is not required at all. An acceleration technique is suggested for the faster convergence of the iterative scheme.

한국시장과 일본시장에서 거래제도가 주가행태에 미치는 영향 비교 연구

  • 본고에서는 한국의 증권시장과 일본의 증권시장이 같은 공매시장(Auction markets)의 형태라도 거래되는 시점에 따라 다른 거래제도에 따라 가격이 결정되는 점도 있어 각 시점별로 양 시장의 주가행태를 가격조정모형을 통하여 비교 분석하였다. 일반적으로 한국과 일본 모두 오전 시가 수익률의 분산이 종가 수익률에서의 분산보다 크고 또한 오전 시가 수익률의 분산이 다른 시점의 수익률의 분산 보다 켰다. 한국 및 일본 양 시장에서 시가수익률의 분산과 음의 시계열상관계수에서 공히 거래정지기간에 따른 노이즈 항목과 거래오류영향을 발견하였다. 그러나 한국시장에서 거래오류나 노이즈가 일본시장보다 큼을 알 수 있었다. 두 시장에서 모두 오전개장과 오후개장을 다른 시점과 비교하면 주가의 과다반응을 추정 할 수 있으나 일본시 장의 경우는 한국시장에서 보다 미미하였다. 한국시장의 경우 오후종가가 영과 통계학적으로 크게 다르게 양의 수를 가지고 있음은 시장의 효율성에서 한국시장이 일본시장에 비해 떨어지고 시장 정보에 대하여 주가의 가격조정속도가 늦다고 추정할 수 있었고 이는 한국시장이 아직은 일본에 비해 가격제한폭이나 그밖에 거래제한 요소가 일본보다 크기 때문으로 추정된다. 한국시장에서는 주식수익률의 변동성은 노이즈거래가설(Noise trading hypothesis)이 더 설명력이 있다고 추정되고 일본의 경우 사적정보가설(Private information hypothesis)과 노이즈거래가설(Noise trading hypothesis) 둘 다 설명력이 있지만 전자가 더 우위일 가능성이 있었다. 결론적으로 위의 결과를 종합하면 거래메커니즘 차이가 주가의 행태에 크게 다르게 미친다고는 할 수 없고 단지 주가의 정보전달 속도 및 노이즈 그리고 시장의 효율성에 따라 주가행태에 어느 정도 차이를 일으킨다고 할 수 있었다.

A Design of a VCO for an Advance Warning System of the Vehicle′s Speed Limitation (차량 속도 제한 사전 경보기용 전압 제어 발진기 설꼐)

  • In this paper, a VCO of a general advance warning system for vehicle's speed limitation in the X-band used in Japan is designed using a small signal scattering coefficient of PHEMT. A varactor diode that wide tuning range and series resistance 0 H is used for designing the VCO and -85 dBc/Hz of phase noise at 10 kHz of offset frequency is obtained by adjusting the reflection coefficient between the micro-strip line and the varactor device which determines transistor's operation voltage and resonant frequency, In addition +4.5 dBm of basic frequency signal output level and -25.6 dEc of the second harmonic constraint are acquired. Sample that produce in this paper could confirm that more excellent special quality appears than existing products in sensitivity.

A PIN Diode Switch with High Isolation and High Switching Speed (높은 격리도와 고속 스위칭의 PIN 다이오드 스위치)

  • The isolation of the series PIN diode switch is restricted by the parallel capacitance of PIN diode and the switch driver circuit limits switching speed of PIN diode switch. To overcome these problems, a high isolation and high switching speed Pin diode switch is proposed adapting the parallel resonant inductance and TTL compatible switch driver circuit. The measurement results of the 3 GHz PM diode switch show 1 GHz frequency band, less than 1.5 dB insertion loss, 65 dB isolation, more than 15 dB return loss and less than 30 ns switching speed. In particular the 3 GHz PIN diode switch using the parallel resonant inductance exhibits the improvement of isolation by 15 dB.

  • This paper deals with a robust fine seek controller design problem with multiple constraints using a genetic algorithm. A robust $H\infty$ constraint is introduced to attenuate effectively velocity disturbance caused by the eccentric rotation of the disk. A weighting function is optimally selected based on the estimation of velocity disturbance and the estimated minimum velocity loop gain. A robust velocity loop constraint is considered to minimize the variances of the velocity loop gain and bandwidth against the uncertainties of fine actuator. Finally, a robust fine seek controller is obtained by solving a genetic algorithm with an LMI condition and an appropriate objective function. The proposed controller design method is applied to the fine seek control system of a DVD recording device and is evaluated through the experimental results.

Design of Jerk Bounded Feed Rate with Look Ahead using Adaptive NURBS Interpolator (NURBS 적응보간기를 이용한 Jerk 제한 이송속도 생성)

  • A method for obtaining smooth, jerk bounded feed rate profile in high speed machining has been developed. This study proposes a NURBS interpolator based on adaptive feed rate control with a well developed look ahead algorithm which takes into account the machining dynamics as well. Limitation of jerk and proportional torque rate result in smoothened loads on the machine which effectively reduces excitation of the resonant frequencies of the machine. It is found that the values of the feed rate of the down stream sharp corner have profound effect on the feed rate of the upstream sharp corners. By using a windowing scheme the feed rate profile obtained after look ahead method is re-interpolated to reduce the jerk related problems. This is compared with the adaptive NURBS interpolator to show the effectiveness of the proposed method. Simulation results indicate that the consideration of 'ripple effect' is important in avoiding jerk and thereby increasing the machining accuracy.

Effects of Air Drain and Confined Conditions to Infiltration Rate in Unsaturated Soils (불포화 토양에서 공기의 배출/제한이 침투속도에 미치는 영향)

  • It is well known that the water infiltration rate depends on soil properties such as soil water content, water head, capillary suction, density, hydraulic conductivity, and porosity. However, most of proposed infiltration models assume that the air phase is continuous and in equilibrium with the atmosphere or air compression and air entrapment on infiltration was not considered. This study presents experimental results on unsaturated water infiltration to relate air entrapment and hydraulic conductivity function based on soil air properties. The objectives of this study were to measure change of soil air pressure ahead of wetting front under air drain and air confined condition to find the confined air effect on infiltration rate, to reduce the entrapped air volume related with soil air pressure to increase the soil permeability, and to make a basis of infiltration process model for the purpose of improvement of infiltration rate in the homogeneous soil column. The results of the work show that soil air pressure increases according to increasement of the saturated soil depth rather than the wetting front depth during infiltration process.

VLSI Implementation of CORDIC-Based Digital Quadrature Demodulator (CORDIC을 이용한 디지탈 Quadrature 복조기의 VLSI 구현)

  • Digital quadrature demodulator is needed for the coherent demodulation in the digital communication systems such as Binary Phase-Shift-Keying, Quadrature Phase-Shift-Keying, and Quadrature Anmplitude Modulation. Conventaionally, the DDFS (Direct Digital Frequency Synthsizer) is used for generating the carrier signal and seperate multi-pliers are used for mixing. And the DDFS is implemented using the ROM (Read Only Memory), which can be a bottle-neck neck when the fast-speed and small-area implementation is required. A new architecture is developed, which employs the circular rotation mode of the CORDIC algorithm for signal mixing as well as carrier generation. To optimize the hardware design parameters, the finiteword-length effects of the proposed implementation arachitecture are analyzed in comparison with a conventional ROM-based architecture. The hardware costs are also estimated, which showed that the proposed architecture occupies only a third of the area of the conventional ROM-based architecture for the same performance. A full-custom VLSI is developed using the proposed architecture.

한국형 고속전철의 연구개발계획

  • 19세기초 영국에서 개발된 증기 기관차로 인하여 육상교통이 큰 변혁을 맞은 이래 열차의 속도, 승차감, 신뢰도 및 안전도, 경제성의 제고 등에 대한 계속적인 기술발전과 개량으로 철도 교통은 대량수송 수단의 주역으로 경제발전과 인류역사에 크게 공헌하여 왔다. 산업발전에 따른 고속화와 전철화로 철도차량의 최고속도는 프랑스의 고속전철(TGV)이 300km/h까지 도달했으나 고속주행시의 소음, 공해등으로 인하여 21세기 인류에게 제공될 지상의 대중교통수단으로서는 여러가지의 제한점을 보이고 있다. 최근 우리나라에서도 지속적이고 급속한 대중 교통수단으로서는 여러가지의 제한점을 보이고 있다. 최근 우리나라에서도 지속적이고 급속한 산업발전과 사회복지의 향상으로 국내의 산업물동량과 산업인구의 이동이 급격하게 증가하여 우리나라 산업동맥의 중추인 경부선의 경우 일일 수송능력은 120회/일 이르렀고 철도교통수요의 증가율('84년 예측치 5.9%년)과 특급이상의 승객증가율('84년 예측 12.5%)에 비추어 볼때, 1995년경에는 완전포화 상태에 도달할 것으로 예상되고 있다. 본 소고에서는 21세기 고도사회 진입에 대비하고 국민의 생활수준향상에 부응하는 빠르며, 쾌적하고, 안전한 고속 대중 교통수단으로써 관심을 불러 일으키고 있는 고속전철을 소개하고, 현재 운행하거나 개발중인 외국의 기술현황을 기술적인 면과 운용면에서의 고찰을 통하여 한국의 교통체제, 지형, 미래의 교통구조 등을 고려한 한국형 고속전철의 개발방향을 제시하고저 한다.

The Optimization of Vector Data for Mobile GIS (모바일 GIS를 위한 벡터 데이터 경량화 기법)

  • Providing services in a wireless environment with existing wired-based GIS solutions have many limitations such as slow communication, processing rates and screen size. This study suggested data optimization techniques in a mobile environment to overcome those limitations in four steps. In order to test the methods suggested in the study, experiments are conducted using Gangnam-gu as a test site. An existing GIS engine built in a wired environment was compared with the optimized GIS engine from the study in terms of performance in the same environment. They were also compared and analyzed in terms of response data size, number of requests processed per second, and average time to process a request. The results proved that the proposed engine shows significant improvements in performance compared with the wired GIS.
