In this paper, I propose a load balancing algorithm based on the traffic characteristics of a software streaming service, and implement the proposed algorithm on the large scale software streaming server platform which provides a software streaming service to geographically dispersed internet users. By showing that the large scale software streaming server platform fuctions correctly, we know the proposed load balancing algorithm is operating properly and efficiently.

소프트웨어 개발 프로세스의 평가를 통해 소프트웨어 프로덕트의 품질을 높이려는 다양한 시도들이 행해지고 있다. 소프트웨어 테스트 프로세스는 소프트웨어 개발 프로세스 중에서도 소프트웨어 프로덕트 품질 향상에 직접적인 영향을 끼치므로, 이에 대한 체계적인 개선이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 프로세스의 품질과 프로덕프의 품질을 동시에 고려하는 소프트웨어 테스팅 모델인 SETP(Simple and Effective Test Process)모델을 제안한다.

소프트웨어 컴포넌트는 특정 도메인 내에서 패밀리 멤버들 사이의 공통 기능성을 구현한 것이다. 하나의 멤버를 위해 개발된 컴포넌트는 다양한 패밀리 멤버에서 재사용하기 어렵다. 그러므로, 컴포넌트를 개발할 경우에 다양한 멤버에 대해 고려해야 한다. 그러므로 소프트웨어 컴포넌트의 품질 측정은 성공적인 컴포넌트 기반 시스템 개발을 위한 중요한 선행작업이다. 본 논문에서는 소프트웨어 컴포넌트의 품질을 평가하기 위한 품질 평가 모델을 제안한다. 소프트웨어 컴포넌트를 측정하기 위해서 소프트웨어 컴포넌트의 특징을 식별하고, 식별된 특징을 기반으로 하여 소프트웨어 컴포넌트의 품질 평가 모델을 제안한다. 제안된 품질 평가 모델은 특성, 부특성, 메트릭으로 구성된다.

소프트웨어 어플리케이션들이 점차 다양한 응용분야에서 광범위하게 사용됨에 따라 소프트웨어 품질의 중요성이 높아지고 있다. 특히 웹기반 소프트웨어는 전통적 소프트웨어에 비해 보다 높은 품질 수준을 요구하고 보안이 중요시되며 시스템 통합과 유지보수 및 재사용에 대한 품질 요소가 중요시 된다. 웹기반 소프트웨어의 품질을 객관적이고 정량적으로 명세하고 평가하기 위하여, 객관적인 근거를 제시할 수 있는 지표로서 평가 항목들이 정의되어야 한다. 본 논문은 웹기반 소프트웨어의 품질 평가를 위한 모델을 제안하고 평가항목 및 평가방법과 절차를 제시하고자한다.

In this paper, a von system which is based on current computer technologies is implemented. This von system organizes many personal computers in a local network into a configuration server, storage servers, and clients. To provide reliability, the data is stored using software RAID technology. Also, multimedia services are client-based for efficiency. The software components of this von system are the von configuration software, the von configuration service software, the von management software, and the von service software. Only the von service software runs in the client, while all the others run in the configuration server. The operating system on which the configuration server is run is the Windows NT such that the software executes like the UNIX-daemon process in the Windows NT service manager.

최근 소프트웨어의 생명 주기가 점점 짧아지고 있으며 시장의 요구에 수용하면서 빠르게 변화 하도록 소프트웨어를 만들어야 할 것이다. 하지만 변화가 생길 때 마다. 새로운 소프트웨어를 만든다는 것은 많은 작업을 요구하는 일이 될 것이기 때문에 소프트웨어에 적응성은 중요한 이슈이다. 본 논문에서는 로봇에 초점을 맞추어 로봇이 적응성을 가지기 위해 표준 기술인 웹 서비스를 사용한다. 웹 서비스의 전형적인 표준 발견 기술은 UDDI 레지스트리에 의존하며 서비스를 찾을 때 기초적인 정보만을 사용하기 때문에 원하는 기능의 서비스를 찾는 것이 어렵다는 단점을 가지고 있다. 그래서 본 논문에서는 웹 서비스를 통해 로봇이 요구하는 컴포넌트를 발견하기 위해 기존의 UDDI를 변경하지 않고 확장된 검색을 지원하는 발견기법을 제안하고 이를 구현한 EWS를 소개한다.

최근 공개SW를 활용한 IT서비스가 활성화되고 있으며, 대표적인 서비스 유형으로는 소프트웨어 개발, 소프트웨어 유지보수, SI 및 SM, 리포지토리 서비스가 있다. 공개SW의 대표적인 장점 및 기대효과로는 가격 경쟁력 향상과 개발 생산성 향상을 꼽을수 있다. 하지만 IT 서비스 업체에서 공개SW를 활용할 경우 라이센스, 유지보수, 품질 및 호환성 이슈에 대해 정확히 파악하고 사전에 준비해야 한다. LG CNS에서는 최근 해외시장에 공개SW를 적극적으로 활용하여 IT 서비스를 제공한 사례가 있으며, 해당 사례를 분석한 결과 공개SW를 IT 서비스에서 활용할 경우 실제로 소프트웨어 비용 절감을 통한 가격 경쟁력 제고 및 개발생산성 향상의 효과를 확인할 수 있다. 국내 IT서비스 업체가 상대적으로 공개SW에 대한 인식이 잘 형성되어 있는 해외 IT 서비스 시장에서 공개SW에 대한 이해를 바탕으로 주요 이슈에 대해 미리 준비하고 이를 적절히 활용한다면 경쟁력을 확보하는데 도움이 될 것이다.
