Development of Korean Version of European Health Literacy Survey (HLS-EU-Q47) and Applied to the Elderly (한국판 건강문해력 측정도구(HLS-EU-Q47) 개발 및 노인 대상 적용)

  • Objective : This study aimed to develop a Korean version of the HLS-EU-Q47 that deals with the concept of health literacy based on the understanding, apply/use, process/appraisal, and access/obtain to health information. The purpose of this study is to confirm the level of comprehensive health literacy of the elderly in Korea using this tool. Methods : After going through the Korean interpretation process of HLS-EU-Q47, the items were confirmed through content validity verification by experts. The completed Korean-HLS-EU-Q47 (K-HLS-EU-Q47) was applied to 254 elderly people in the local community to analyze the degree of internal consistency and reliability. Furthermore, a comparative analysis based on the general variables was conducted. Results : The internal consistency of this tool for the elderly yielded Cronbach's 𝛼 of .81~.91, indicating a high level of reliability. There was a difference in health literacy according to sex and age based on general characteristics. Men had higher health literacy than women, and with increasing age, health literacy decreased. Conclusion : In this study, the K-HLS-EU-Q47 was developed to assess the comprehensive health literacy level of the elderly in Korea. It is expected that the search for ways to maintain a healthier life for the elderly through understanding the health literacy levels of the elderly using the results of this study will become more active.

Development of a Measuring Tool for Spiritual Care Performance of Hospice Team Members (호스피스 팀원들의 영적 돌봄 수행도 측정 도구 개발)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to develop a measuring tool for spiritual care performance of hospice team members. The tool may be utilized for providing hospice patients with more systematic and standardized spiritual tares. Methods: The concept and questions of the tool were developed, and then its validity and reliability were tested. For the validity and reliability tests, a self-reported questionnaire comprising 33 questions with 4 point scale ($1{\sim}4$), was developed, and the data were collected from 192 hospice team members from December 2005 to February 2006. Results: Thirty three questions, drafted through literature review and professional consultation, were reviewed by 20 professionals for their validity, were revised and supplemented resulted in the final 33 questions. The questions with a correlation coefficient grater than .30 were selected: all the 33 questions were selected based on this criterion. The reliability coefficient, Cronbarh's ${\alpha}$, was 0.95. The 33 questions were analyzed for factors, and six factors were extracted: relationship formation and communication, encouragement and promotion of spiritual growth, linking with spiritual resources, preparation of death, evaluation and quality control for spiritual intervention, Intervention, and spiritual assessment for intervention. Conclusion: The tool developed in this study includes six factors and has high level of reliability. This tool Will greatly contribute to assess and improve hospice care services, providing systematic and standardized spiritual cares for terminally ill patients and their families.

  • The purpose of this research aims to find the changes resulted from the collaboration of colors, harmonies, and dynamics within a music. Through this research model, psychologically change of color and harmony, dynamics have explored to collect the resources for the research of the visual media music therapy program. In video media, music is utilized as non-verbal communication in many areas. The connection between melodies and colors, especially, is one of the most effective instrument to reduce the gap between realities and imagination, thus leading emotional inspiration. Gim's(Guided Imagery and Music) model of musical therapy strives to understand inner-side of human nature, and gives an insight into self-understanding. We would like to promote active, and physical model of musical therapy aside from passive existing mode, and apply it as the base resource for our ever-changing society, and teenage education.

A survey of leisure participation and leisure exploration of community dwelling stroke patients (지역사회 거주 뇌졸중 환자의 여가 참여 및 여가 탐색 조사)

  • The purpose of this study was to provide basic information on leisure participation and leisure exploration of community-dwelling stroke patients through a multi-dimensional leisure participation evaluation tool. The subjects in this study were 35 people living with stroke in the community. As a result of study, the most involved leisure activities were in order of watching TV, communicating, and exercise alone. Most of the satisfaction level of leisure participation was 7-10 points, but exercise alone was 5.2 points due to the purpose of health management. Leisure exploration was the most frequent exercise alone and sports, and interest was 8-10 points. The most important obstacles for leisure participation were physical problems depending on the nature of the stroke disease. Through the results of this study, it is necessary to activate a stroke patient's discharge plan and activate a community stroke patient's leisure intervention program so that they can participate in leisure activities of their choice through voluntary leisure exploration.

  • 낙후된 도시를 정비하는 방법으로 새로이 등장한 거점확산형 주거환경개선사업은 전면철거방식인 주택재개발사업이내 공동주택 건설방식과 비교하여 지역주민의 재정착 비율이 높고, 기존 도시 조직을 고려하며 점진적으로 개발할 수 있는 기성시가지 정비수법으로 주목받아 왔다. 또한 지역의 침체된 경제를 활성화시키고 황폐화된 구시가지를 회복시키기 위하여 정부에서는 도시의 새로운 경쟁력을 찾고 지역 주민의 삶의 질을 보장하기 위해 지역 주민의 삶의 질을 보장하기 위해 지역 커뮤니티를 근간으로 하는 도시재생사업을 추진하게 되었다. 효과적인 거점확산형 주거환경개선사업을 위해서는 주민참여가 중요하며, 현재에 이르러서는 필수적인 요건이 되었고, 도시계획 역시 주민과 함께 하는 방향으로 변화하게 되었다. 이에 따라 GIS도 주민과 같은 비전문가의 의사결정을 지원하기 위한 도구로 확대되어 활용되고 있다 하지만, 현행 주민참여 방식은 형식적인 수단에 불과하며, 주민 참여도를 높일 수 있는 획기적인 방법은 아직도 연구해야할 과제이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 커뮤니티의 재생을 목적으로 하는 거점확산형 주거환경개선사업에서 능동적 주민참여를 좀 더 효율적으로 이끌어 내고자 사업정보제공서비스, 주민의사반영 서비스, 쌍방향적 의견교환서비스, GIS 서비스를 제공하는 커뮤니티 재생을 위한 앱 기반 PPGIS 모델을 제안하였다. 최근 스마트폰의 보급률이 급증함에 따라 스마트폰의 활용은 주민들의 관심과 참여 비율의 변화를 크게 가져올 수 있을 것으로 기대되며, 커뮤니티 재생을 위한 스마트폰의 앱 기반 PPGIS 모델은 정책결정자, 전문가 그리고 주민이 서로의 생각을 교환하고 이해하는데 또 다른 유용한 의사소통 도구가 되어 주민의 참여도를 높여 줄 것이라 기대된다 특히, 스마트폰을 많이 사용하고 있는 젊은층의 흥미를 유발하여 참여도가 낮은 젊은층의 참여도를 높이는데 기여할 것이라 여겨진다,

  • This study suggest the development and application of the Interactive Design Toolkit as a participatory design method for general customer who are non-expert on design activity to participate in design process of mass customization. In order to let general customers to express their design needs, we have to make a familiar and direct communication method for them. And, customer's design needs should be transformed into digital media. This study define the Interactive Design Toolkit as a design tool for customer participation by direct manipulation of computer system for simulation of design needs by customer themselves. The Interactive Design Toolkit is based on a PC-based image perception system and its application. User can make virtual models in virtual space by manipulating physical objects in real world. And, The toolkit can be used in the field of participatory design for deliverer side customization, especially in system kitchen which is manufactured and distributed in modular system. More improved design toolkit for manipulating 3 dimensional shape is needed for consumer product design and car styling.

  • Interactive broadcasting service using wired/wireless Internet return channel has strong ripple effect. It allows the audiences to participate actively to the program they are watching, and communicating. This paper develops an authoring tool that makes an object-formed interactive advertisement from extracted areas of the advertising object the user specified in TV programs. In the authoring tool, the advertisement producer specifies the target object subjectively and the selected object keeps moving here and there repeatedly. Therefore, it is hard to make an object-formed interactive advertisement with existing tools. This paper suggests sketch-based interface technique for extracting advertising objects, and also provide evaluation functions to correct any sketch error. This paper also converts the area of object into MPEG-4 BIFS codes for authoring the object-formed interactive advertisement.

  • 최근 인터넷 공간에서 사용자가 직접 만들어 내는 컨텐츠, 즉 UCC (user created contents, 이하 UCC)에 대한 관심이 그 어느 때보다 증가하고 있다. UCC란 기존의 온라인 컨텐츠 제공업자와 달리 일반 사용자에 의해 만들어져 게시판과 같은 도구를 사용하여 온라인 상에 존재하였다. 그런데 UCC 가 최근 들어 더욱 관심을 받고 있는 이유에는 사용자들이 직접 컨텐츠를 만들어 개제하는 것이 용이하도록 변화된 환경의 조성 및 컨텐츠 제작을 쉽게 할 수 있는 저작도구가 지속적으로 만들어지고 확산되었기 때문이다. 결과적으로 사용자 측면에서는 다른 사람들과 소통하는 통로가 확대되었고, 사업자 측면에서는 보다 컨텐츠를 풍부하게 확보할 수 있는 환경이 열린 것이다. 본 연구는 구비문학의 이론을 통하여 UCC의 활성화에 영향을 미치는 요소를 탐색적으로 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 구비 문학은 텍스트를 향유하는 사람들 사이에서 공유되는 이야기로서 그 생산 환경의 매커니즘과 텍스트의 발전 양상이 UCC와 매우 유사하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 자료의 분석과 이론적 모형의 수립 과정 전반에 있어 구비 문학의 이론과 접근 방법을 사용하였다. UCC가 매우 활발하게 생산되는 주제를 선정하여, 그 주제에 해당하는 커뮤니티의 특성, 사용자들 간의 관계, 사용자 정책 등 차이가 있는 세 온라인 커뮤니티를 선정하였다. 선정된 온라인 커뮤니티의 게시판의 포스트와 댓글을 프로그램을 통하여 수집하고 분석하였으며, 그 분석된 데이터를 바탕으로 사용자를 선정하여 심층 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 심층 인터뷰 데이터는 근거이론은 이용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 UCC 확산이라는 새로운 인터넷 패러다임 속에서 이를 구비 문학의 이론으로 분석했다는 점에서 학문적 의의가 있다. 또한 성격이 다른 세 개의 사이트에서의 UCC를 비교함으로써 UCC를 기반으로 한 사이트 설계의 가이드 라인이 될 수 있는 실용적 의의를 가진다.

  • As public participation in the community issues have expanded, an urban planning paradigm has been changed to the planning with public participation. The role of GIS also expanded to support decision making process for the public in addition to supporting that of decision-makers. Residential Environment Improvement, which is the improvement method of an undeveloped urban area, is to regenerate a community based on public participation. However, the current process of public participation is formal. Therefore the purpose of this study is to lead the public a positive participation in Residential Environment Improvement using GIS. We proposed a web_based PPGIS model including project information service, public opinion expression service, two-way communication service and GIS services, and developed a prototype. This model can be a useful tool to make decision makers, experts and the public share their ideas and communicate each other, and to increase the public participation in planning process.

A Strategies for Using Smartphone as a Social Real Life Tools for Students with Developmental Disabilities

  • The purpose of this study is to find out an effective way for students with developmental disabilities to use smartphone applications as a social real life tools in a society. For the purpose of this study, the researcher reviewed relevant previous literature on topics such as "students with developmental disabilities, information society, use of smartphone, and application use". The results of this study are as follows. First, the researcher describes strategies to support students with developmental disabilities living in an information society to improve their social integration ability by using smartphone. Second, it describes the types of smartphone applications that could support the social real life of students with developmental disabilities. Third, it describes the needs of smartphone applications to improve social adaptability of students with developmental disabilities. The results of this study will lead students with developmental disabilities to learn and use various functions of smartphone in the information society to interact with people around them and improve their communication skills. In addition, the results can be used as basic data to develop and support appropriate applications that can help vocational rehabilitation and social integration of students with developmental disabilities.
