우리 도서관에 소장되어 있는 25만여 책의 조선문도서들은 북한도서 약 7만 책, 한국도서 약 8만 책, 연변과 중국의 기타 지방에서 출판된 조선문도서 약 10만 책으로 구분할 수 있습니다.

Cultural heritage institutions need to construct a cooperative network beyond an organization and a region based on products that cultural experiences and _expressions of human beings. They should serve as primary social agencies which need to create various information services of cultural heritage through integrated system management that social members are accessible to cultural contents such as _document resources of holding libraries, rich inheritance of museums, and works of art museums. This study indicated acts and considerable facts that have clauses the cooperative background of cultural heritage institutions which are libraries, museums, art museums and archives, and also intro! duced the cases of cooperative networks as an integrated system of libraries, museums, and art museums in North America and EU. Based on the analysis, this study suggested cooperative plans of cultural heritage institutions for political and systemic aspects, technical aspects, and human resource aspects.

이 해제 목록은 제16회 독서주간을 기념하기 위하여 9월 24일부터 30일까지 서울특별시립 종로 도서관에서 본 협회가 개회한 ‘제1회 한국잡지전시회’에서 출품 전시되었던 잡지를 해제한 것으로 해방이후부터 1960년까지 우리나라에서 간행된 것 중 김근수 선생이 소장하고 있는 것만을 실었음을 밝혀둔다.

This study concerns Sama Pangmok which is in the possession of Harvard-Yenching Library, Harvard University, USA. Sama Pangmok is the archive of Saengwon Chinsa Examination(the licentiate examination) which is the preliminary test for main civil service examination. And it is the list of the names of the applicants who passed this examination. This examination were conducted from the days of lauching of Chosun as a new nation to the days of Kabo Kyungjang(the 1894 reform). While this examination was conducted 230 times, not all but 186 of the resultant lists are available. Of these 186 lists, this library posses 47 titles. My study of the existing dissertation on the possession of titles by Harvard-Yenching Library, 7 titles where in possession of the same library in 1968 and 5 ones in 190. It is the main objective of this study to clarify the possession of this library and correct the past errors in indication of possession of titles by this library. For this purpose, I conducted a study on Saengwon Chinsa Examination and Sama Pangmok, which could be the historical background of this study. This was followed by research on the bibliographical aspect of Sama Pangmok and the research on the situation concerning this Library's possession of the same lists. Lastly, the analysis of the special feature of Sama Pangmok possessed by this Library was conducted. It is expected that the result of this research will be applied to the practical research of the history of civil service examinations and the old and rare books overseas in the future.

도서관 이용자의 요구에 적합한 도서관 자료를 수집하고 처리함과 함께 소장되어 있는 자료가 이용자의 요구에 어느 정도 만족되는 지를 도서관의 경영 관리자는 알고자 한다. 이는 도서관의 재정지출에 효율화 및 경비 절감에 크게 기여할 수 있기 때문이다. 그러나 도서관 데이터는 방대하고 다양함으로 비교 및 분석에 어려움이 따른다. 그러므로 본 시스템은 시계열성이 강조되며 데이터의 조회만이 일어나는 데이터웨어하우스 기법을 이용하여 관리자의 의사결정에 필요한 정보를 제공하는 시스템을 개발하였다.

인터넷의 활용과 컴퓨터 기술환경의 새로운 패러다임 변화는 디지털도서관의 등장을 가져오게 하였으며, 동시에 이미 온라인 서비스를 실시해오던 여러 분야의 정보센터들로 하여금 어떠한 유형의 데이터도 저장, 관리, 제공하며 정보라는 상품을 생산해 내는 정보시장(Information Marketplace)의 역할 자로서 요구하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 1980년대부터 진행되어온 도서관 서지자료의 Database화 작업과 병행하여 도서관 이용자에게 보다 광범위하고 효용성 있는 정보를 제공하기 위한 디지털도서관의 이론적 배경에 대하여 기술하고, 디지털도서관의 주요 소장정보인 원문이미지정보의 처리기술에 대한 이론을 정리하며, 현재국내에서 추진중인 원문이미지정보시스템의 분석을 통하여 향후 디지털도서관 구축시 비교분석 모델을 제시해보고자 한다.

This study aims to quantitatively assess collection and circulation data of one small library in an area where multicultural users are concentrated and draw policy implications on improving multicultural services for public libraries. The Ansan Multicultural Small Library was selected for examining the library's collection and circulation usages from 2016 to 2022. The numbers of collection and circulation, collection turnover rates and use factors were calculated by year, language, and KDC subject. The result of this study presents the empirical evidence drawn from users' circulation usage, which can be a basis for leading to valid collection development and multicultural service policies.

This study aims to increase understanding of current status and changes of academic libraries in South Korea in comparison with those of academic libraries in North America and United Kingdom (UK). The five-year statistics of academic libraries were collected from Korea Education and Research Information Service (KERIS), Association of Research Libraries (ARL), and Society of College, National and University Libraries (SCONUL), and the authors compared the statistical indicators that are comparable to each other. The circumstance and performance of academic libraries in North America were much better than those of South Korea. In addition, the area of library buildings in South Korea was larger than those in UK, and they also had more books and carrels than UK libraries; however, UK libraries had more library staffs, expenditure on material purchase, and interlibrary loan requests. These findings imply that there should be more support on academic libraries in South Korea to increase library staffs and budget, which will invigorate library services and use.

This study covers the basic information of the small libraries nationwide, holding materials, facilities/equipment, human resources, budget, usage/users, and service etc. The survey is divided into 4 steps to produce accurate statistical data and analyze it. As a result, total 3,349 small libraries meet the criteria of the Library Act in 2010. Their holding materials, facilities/equipment, human resources, budget, usage, service program are lack of providing the knowledge information and reading culture service, which is defined in the Library Act. In particular, the majority of small libraries(80%) are in poor condition to operate library facilities/equipment, budget, and their operation. This study proposes some suggestions to overcome the poor condition and to make small libraries prosperous in the near future.
