  • In this thesis, source identification tool for NI-PXI equipment is developed with LabVEIW. For the purpose of examining propriety of developed tool, simulation is performed with several signals that have different frequency range. After checking the coherence functions for concerned frequency domain, an experiment is conducted on an evaporator that cause the principal noise of a refrigerator.

  • To reduce the radiated noise of ships, the noises which are generated from onboard machinery, propulsion system and transfer characteristics of structure must be identified. While the ship is operating, however, we can not directly measure each signal of inputs and characteristics of transfer passage, because measured signals are superimposed by multi source and multi transfer passage. In this paper, the signal processing method for separating noise sources and transfer functions from the measured response signal by the cepstrum technique is proposed. The proposed method is verified by application of simulated signal and impact test and shows usefulness by application of real ship test.

  • In this paper noise source and transfer path of tactical vehicle are analyzed with partial coherence function and spectrum analysis. Engine, transmission, structure panel and aerodynamic are main source of cabin noise. To reduce cabin noise, identifying transfer path of sources and analyzing their contribution is important. With modeling of transfer path and partial coherence function, transfer path and principal noise source can be identified. Engine/transmission and structural resonance are principal source of low frequency noise and by adding stiffener and sound absorbing material, resonance of vibration and inflow air problem can be solved.

  • For the purpose of finding how the annoyance response to aircraft noise is affected by non-noise variables, the questionnaire survey is conducted around the Gimpo International Airport in Seoul, Korea. The non-noise variables used in this research are divided into two categories; demographic and attitudinal variables. The result of the survey suggests that aircraft noise annoyance is not affected to an important extent by other noise sources(e.g., road traffic noise and community noise etc.) and the demographic variables (sex, age, education, occupation, dwelling type and length of residence). It has been found that it is affected to an important extent by the attitudinal variables such as complaints.

  • 최근 저소음형 fan 의 도입과 컴퓨터 케이스의 설계 변경 등으로 컴퓨터 소음이 저감되어, HDD 나 CD/DVD-ROM 등에서 발생하는 협대역 소음들이 문제가 되기도 한다. 특히 HDD 의 소음은 회전 속도의 증가와 휴대용 컴퓨터나 외장 HDD와 같이 사용자에 근접한 환경에서 사용되는 빈도가 높아짐에 따라 소음제어에 대한 관심이 증가되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 HDD 소음 분석 및 제어에 적합한 방법론 정립을 위한 음향/진동 분석이 수행되였다. 먼저 음압과 음향 파워, 진동속도를 측정하여 각 면의 기여도와 문제가 되는 주파수 대역을 선정하여 그 원인이 무엇인지를 실험적으로 찾아내고, 소음저감을 발안을 제시하였다. 이러한 개선 방안들은 실험적인 방법으로 검증되었으며, 음향 진동 분석을 통한 소음원 파악 및 적절한 개선 방향의 설정은 향후 HDD 설계시 유용한 정보로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

개인 휴대용 카세트 소음에 의한 난청가능성에 대한 평가

  • 작업장 뿐만 아니라 일상생활에서도 결코 무시될 수 없는 것이 레져활동으로 인한 소음이다. 최근 급격히 늘어가는 개인 휴대용 카세트(Personal Cassette Players: PCP)사용은 심각한 소음성난청 발생이 우려된다. 본 연구는 PCP사용에 관련된 여러 인자들이 청력손실과 어떻게 얼마나 관련이 있는가를 파악 하고 PCP를 일정시간 사용했을 때 오는 청력 손실을 정량적으로 파악, 분석하는데 근본 목적을 둔다. 정상 청력을 가진 피실험자 18명의 대학생들을 대상으로 정상 청취조건 그리고 배경소음(지하철)에 노출 중과 후의 사용환경과 소음원으로 Hard Music, Soft Music 및 Language/News를 고려하여 평균소음도와 최고 소음도를 측정하였다. 또한 현실적 상황을 고려한 2시간 정도의 PCP의 청취 전과 후의 청력변화를 측정하였다. 통계 분석 결과, 사용환경과 소음원에 대해 휴대용 카세트 청취 소음수준이 유의한 차이가 있었으며, 특히 Hard Music 청취시에는 95dB, 그리고 지하철 소음하에서는 92dB의 높은 (위험한) 청취수 준을 보였다. 최고소음수준의 경우 NIOSH기준을 초과하는 117dB 정도의 매우 위험한 수준까지 나타났다. 또한 2 시간 정도의 PCP소음에 노출 전 후의 청력손실이 주파수 대역에 걸쳐 유의하게 나타났으며, 특히, 가장 민감한 주파수 대역인 4000Hz에서 최고 7dB 정도의 청력 손실이 발생하였다. 본 연구 결과에 따라, PCP사용에 대한 청력보호대책안을 제시하고자 한다.

Time Domain Prediction and Analysis of Low Frequency Noise from Wind Turbine using Hybrid Computational Aeroacoustics (CAA) Method (복합 전산 공력음향학(CAA) 방법을 이용한 시간영역 풍력터빈 저주파수 소음 예측과 분석)

  • Using Lowson's acoustic analogy, low frequency noise of a wind turbine (WT) is predicted in time domain and the noise sources contributing to the low frequency noise is analyzed. To compute averaged pressure distribution on blades of the WT as noise source, XFOIL is utilized. The blade source domain is divided into several segments along the span direction to compute force exerted on air surrounding the blade segments, which is used as input for noise prediction. The noise sources are decomposed into three terms of force fluctuation, acceleration and velocity terms and are analyzed to investigate each spectral contribution. Finally, predicted spectra are compared with measured low frequency noise spectrum of a wind turbine in operation. It is found that the force fluctuation component contributes strongly in low frequency range with increasing wind speed.

  • The modeling of noise mapping and the evaluation of noise pollution based on the exposed population were frequently used as an indicator of environmental noise assessment to overcome the limitations of field survey and Tele-Monitoring System. Results from these methods were highly influenced by the setting of noise source, input data of prediction factors and analytical methods of predictive values. The population exposed to noise were estimated as M1-1>M2-1>Base>M2-2>M1-2 in both areas. The highest noise setting methods(M1-1, M1-2) were overestimated, being compared with the Base method.
