A Review of Research on Social Computing: Focused on Blogs and Social Network Services (소셜 컴퓨팅 연구동향 분석 - 블로그와 소셜 네트워크 서비스를 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this paper is to review research articles on social computing and to provide the future directions of the study. A total of 51 articles published in social scientific journals from 2006 to 2010 are analysed by research theme, methodology, level of analysis, and application area. It is found that most of the studies are addressing blogs and mainly focusing on societal concepts rather than organizational concepts. The predominant methodology is field study at the individual level of analysis. We suggest that future researches on social computing need to address more various topics and application areas. Also diversity in terms of methodology and level of analysis is required.

A Study of the Factors influencing User Acceptance of Social Shopping based on Social Network Service (소셜네트워크 서비스 기반의 소셜쇼핑 사용자 수용에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구)

  • Recently social shopping, combining e-Commerce with Social Network Service, become a brand-new eBusiness model. In this paper, we aim to identify the structural relationship of the factors affecting the intention of using social shopping. Reviewing the previous works of social shopping, internet shopping and TAM (Technology Acceptance Model), we extract factors affecting the intention of using social shopping and build a structural research model among these factors. To analyze the structural relationship among theses factors, we perform an empirical study - gathering data from a survey and analyzing gathered data using EFA (Exploratory Factor Analysis) and SEM (Structural Equation Model) to identify the structural relationship. We also analyze moderating effect of past experience of social shopping and gender. As a result, We also can find that two factors - Perceived usefulness and Expected enjoyment - are the key factors influencing acceptance of social shopping and that more segmented strategies are required to attract customers since factors affecting Intention to use are somewhat different according to past experience and gender of respondents.

A Study on the Determinant Factors of the Social Capital Construction through Social Media: Focused on college students (소셜미디어를 통한 사회자본 형성 결정요인에 관한 연구: 대학생을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the determinant factors of the social capital construction through socal media focused on social media use, motives, trust. Total of 261, college students participated in this study. The data were analyzed by the exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, reliability analysis and path analysis based on structural equation model analysis using IBM SPSS 21 and IBM AMOS 21 program. Results show that social media use, motives(employment/reminiscences) and social media trust influenced positively on bridging social capital. Second, motives of use(information/exchange) and social media trust influenced positively on bonding social capital. Finally, social media use, specifically, social media trust generally promotes participatory social capital.

Case Study on Application of Social Learning in Workforce Education (소셜러닝을 적용한 직업교육 성과분석 사례연구)

  • Social learning is a form to support learners' active engagement and participation in learning with other learners and instructors by using social media. The concept of social learning should be considered beyond the simple use of social media for learning or education. This study aims to apply the understanding of social learning based on the theoretical background of social theories of learning in designing and developing a program for workforce education. As a pilot test, the newly developed social learning program was implemented to 302 employees with the title of 'Innovative Display Strategy for POP". 138 employees successfully completed the social learning course that focuses on delivering contents in time-line based platform, supporting interactions among students, and working effectively through small smart devices in their workplace. The results were derived from three kinds of data-source: learner's log data, their final evaluation score, and the survey to measure the satisfaction about social learning. Finally the implications for social learning were discussed in terms of the program revision and directions for future application.

An Exploratory Study on User Characteristics of Social Media: From the Perspective of Consumer Innovativeness (소셜미디어 이용자 특성에 대한 탐색적 연구: 소비자혁신성을 중심으로)

  • This study aims to analyze the effect of consumer characteristics such as consumer innovativeness on using popular social media in Korea. Social media usage is estimated by probit and multinomial probit model with user characteristics using Korea media panel data of 2019. According to the analysis, users with hedonoc innovativeness are likely to use social media, while users with cognitive innovativeness are not likely to use it. Regarding individual social media usage, functional innovativeness increases the probability of using Kakaostory, and hedonic innovativeness increases the likelihood of using Instagram. However, cognitive innovativeness decreases the probability of using Kakaosotry and Naver Band. This study gives insights into finding out specific social media for marketing certain products with innovativeness. In future research, it may be worthwhile to analyze under the assumption that a social media user is using several social media simultaneously.

  • 소셜 미디어가 확산되고 사용자가 증가하면서, 사용자들은 소셜 미디어를 통해 의견을 공유한다. 소셜 미디어는 실시간 정보에 대한 전달이 빠르며 데이터를 수집, 분석할 수 있다. 오피니언 마이닝은 텍스트로부터 사용자의 의견이 포함된 패턴을 추출하여 특정 제품이나 서비스에 대한 의견의 긍정, 부정 표현의 정도를 측정한다. 본 논문에서는 오피니언 마이닝을 기반으로 소셜 미디어 데이터에서 기업의 제품, 서비스와 관련된 사용자의 의견을 분석하여 긍정, 부정인지를 판단한다. 그리고 부정 패턴의 빈도를 통해 기업의 위기 상황을 인지하며, 위기 대응을 위한 4단계의 위기관리 모델을 제시한다. 또한 소셜 미디어에서 기업의 위기관리 사례를 확인하고, 표본조사를 통하여 평가 및 분석을 수행한다. 이 모델을 이용하여 방대한 소셜 미디어 데이터에서 기업의 제품이나 서비스에 대한 부정적 의견을 초기에 감지하고, 체계적으로 대응 할 수 있다.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 오픈 러닝과 소셜 러닝 플랫폼의 핵심요소 비교분석 결과를 바탕으로 학습자와 학습 환경 개선을 위해 고려해야 할 핵심 요소와 방향에 대한 시사점을 고찰하는 데 있다. MOOC로 대변되는 오픈 러닝 사례들의 핵심요소를 분석하여 각각의 공통점과 차이점은 무엇인지 알아보고자 했다. 소셜 러닝 플랫폼을 활용한 사례들을 살펴봄으로써 소셜 러닝 플랫폼의 정의와 특이사항을 살펴보았다. 오픈 러닝과 소셜 러닝 플랫폼의 특이사항은 서로 어떤 상호작용을 가질 수 있을지 비교분석 내용을 바탕으로 오픈 러닝에서 발견 된 장단점과 소셜 러닝 플랫폼의 장단점으로 대치하여 서로 보완해줄 수 있는 진화한 러닝 플랫폼을 구상해보는 것은 유의미 할 것이다.

  • 최근 IT기술발전으로 데이터 저장 및 처리비용은 하락하고 소셜네트워크 서비스 등이 확대되어 데이터의 양적 팽창이 가속화되면서 빅데이터에서 가치를 창출하려는 시도가 늘어나고 있다. 특히, 국내 스마트폰 이용자가 3천만을 넘어서면서 모바일 기기는 대량 데이터 생산의 원천이 되고 있다. 모바일 기기는 스마트시대 대표 통신채널인 소셜미디어 활용을 가속화 시키며 다양한 분야에서 영향력을 발휘하고 있다. 특히 일본과 아이티 지진피해, 강남역 침수 등 재난발생 시 피해상황 파악 및 경보, 정보교환 등에 소셜미디어 채널이 활발히 활용되면서 새로운 매체로 떠오르고 있다. 본 논문에서는 언어분석을 통해 소셜미디어 속에 재난이슈를 모니터링하고 소셜미디어가 재난예방 및 대응에 적극 활용되기 위해 필요한 기술개발 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

Effect of Social Media Use Motivation on Satisfaction and Revisit Intention : Focused on Rural Tourism Visitors (소셜미디어 이용동기가 만족과 재방문의도에 미치는 영향 : 농촌체험마을 이용자를 중심으로)

  • This study was to explore the effect of rural tourism social media use motivation on satisfaction and revisit intention. In order to carry out the empirical study 397 survey questionnaires were collected in rural tourism social media users, PASW18 and Lisrel 8.54 statistics package were utilized for analysis of SEM The study result were as follows: first, social media use motivation had a positive influence upon satisfaction. second, social media use satisfaction had a positive influence upon revisit intention. The study suggested that need to gather extensive opinions from visitors to created and manage rural tourism village in a rational manner, and intensive research effects should be directed into the vitalizations of rural tourism villages.

  • As a way to gather diverse information required for everyday living, the importance of social networks has been growing. Social network services have been spreading rapidly because of diffusion of the Internet, evolution of social network sites, and recognition of the importance of social networks. Recently, the social network service has been evolved based on a new paradigm, Web 2.0, pursuing participation and openness. Following the adoption of Web 2.0 technologies, the social network service allows users to make and maintain new relationships in a more convenient way. Users of the social network service tend to reveal their personal information, and share their ideas and content with other people; in the process they become aware of their existence, feel satisfaction with life and exert influence to others as a member of the society. This study uses higher order factor analysis to analyze factors that affect the intention of using the social network service. A research model was developed with second-order factors including perceived social presence, perceived gratification and perceived social influence. First-order factors are grouped by technical, individual and social factors. Smart PLS 2.0 was used to conduct empirical analysis. The analysis results supported the validity of the research model.
