Verification of Single Hardening Model (단일 경화 모델의 검증)

  • In this study, the single hardening model with stress history-dependent plastic potential, which has been most recently proposed based on the critical state soil mechanics and needs few model parameters, was verified for the normally, lightly, and heavily over-consolidated clayey specimens. The triaxial compression tests were strictly conducted. The predictions using the single hardening model generally agree with the measurement. The discrepancy exists on its main focusing on the principal stress rotation; however, the plastic work H and the principal stress rotation angle ${\beta}$ are found to be effective indicators of loading history for the plastic potential function of the stress path dependent materials.

  • A non-heat기leafed steel does not need quenching and tempering processes that are called a heat treatment differently from conventional steel. Since the tensile strength of this steel is higher than 900MPa, a conventional forming process should be changed to incremental forming process such as a cross wedge rolling that requires lower load capacity than conventional ones. In this paper, the cold cross wedge rolling (CWR) die has been designed using CAD/CAE In order to produce near-net-shaped component of ball stud of non-heat-treated cold steel. Finite element analyses were applied in order to investigate process parameters of CWR. Results provide that the stretching angle and the forming angie at knifing zone in CWR process is important parameter to be the stable process under the low friction coefficient condition.

  • A moment redistribution method was developed for earthquake design of reinforced concrete moment-resisting frames. For a frame designed with strong column-weak beam, the moment redistribution mechanism was investigated. Based on the result, the relationship between redistributed moment and plastic rotation in plastic hinges was established. By using the relationship, we developed a method for the evaluation of plastic rotations during the moment redistribution, addressing the effects of various design parameters including member stiffness, load condition, and plastic mechanism of structure.

  • During the drawing of reentrant section like a spline, the unfilled in the corner of dies or the bended product emerges from the large reduction of area, the complex shaped sections and other nonuniform properties in material and lubrication conditions. In this study, the drawing of the spline section with the non-rotary symmetry from a circular aluminum billet has been analyzed by using commercial code DEFORM-3D. A new die construction method preventing the spline from the drawback of bending and the unfilled defect has been suggested and verified through the analysis using centroid shift method and the hybrid construction between converged and diverged profile.

  • The deformation of the rotating band is simulated to improve the original design of the rotating band. The improved designs are proposed by referring the result of the finite element analysis. A new experimental technique is proposed and its application has been carried out to show the validity of the result of the analysis and the performance of the improved design of the band.

  • $\alpha$형과 $\beta$형 섬유조직의 압연 집합조직을 초기 집합조직으로 갖는 알루미늄 판재의 디프드로잉 공정시 집합조직 변화를 고찰하였다. 플랜지 변형 단계에서는 Bs성분은 감소하 였으며, Goss, Cu, P등의 성분들은 증가하였다. 컵의 윗쪽에서는 아랫쪽에 비하여 Goss, Cu 성분은 증가하고 P성분의 변화는 적었다. 이는 컵의 윗쪽에서는 플랜지에서 받은 평면변형 의 정도가 컵의 아랫쪽에 비하여 크기 때문이다. 실제 디프드로잉 공정에서의 변형량에서는 결정들이 안정방위로의 회전경로인 $\alpha$D형의 섬유와 $\beta$D형의 섬유로 이동하게 된다.

  • Simultaneous forward-backward extrusion upsetting has been carried out by ratray forging. Two materials has been used commericaly 6.61 aluminium ally and 0.2% steel. The effects of working conditions ; spiral feed ; initial aspect ration of specimen and lubricating condition on the backward and forward extrusion were clarified. The extrusion length increases a sthe aspect rationof the specimen increases, the backward extrusion lengthbeing relatively larger than the forward one. The effects of the spiral feed and the material on the extrusion lengthis remarkably large for the large spiral feed.

  • This study is concerned with the rotary powder compacting by the cold rotary forging process. An experiment has been carried out using the rotary powder forging press(500kN) which was designed and constructed in the authors' laboratory. The detailed comparisons of several mechanical test by rotary powder forging and rotary powder compacting process are given. It is found that the highly densified P/M parts can be obtained and this process is very effective for improving quality of the powder products.
