LowCycle Fatigue Characteristics of 1Cr0.5Mo Pipe Steel Using the Plastic Strain Energy Method (소성변형에너지법을 이용한 1Cr0.5Mo강의 저주기피로 특성에 관한 연구)

  • 영활화혁발전소 보일러헤다 재질인 1Cr0.5Mo강의 파형에 따른 저주기 피로특성을 규명하고자 상온(298K) 및 고온(177K)의 삼각파와 사인파형 저주기 피로시험을 수행하였고 소성에너지법을 이용하여 파형에 따른 소성변형에너지와 피로수명과의 +관계를 분석하였다. 저주기 피로시 재료내부의 소성변형에너지를 히스테리시스루프의 면적으로 계산하여 구하였으며 이를통해 저주기 피로수명을 예측하였고 Coffin-Manson법 및 변형률분할법을 이용한 저주기 피로수명 결과와 서로 잘 일치하였다. 또한 상온 및 고온에서 피로반복수의 증가와 함께 재료가 반봅연화됨을 알 수 있었다.

  • 경험적으로 방법에 의존해온 대형 진동햄머다짐의 영향심도를 평가하고자 수치해석적인 기법을 사용하였다. 수치해석적인 기법을 사용하였다. 수치해석에 사용한 프로그램은 범용 유한요소 해석프로그램인 ABAQUS이며, 인천 신공항 매립지에서 시험 시공한 대형 진동햄머다짐의 자료와 수치해석한 결과의 비교를 통해 검증하였다. 수치해성에 사용한 물성은 현장시험과 실내시험을통해 구하였으며 영향깊이는 지반이 동적 하중에 변형할 때 소산하는 소성변형율에너지량의 분포를 판정하였다. 수치해석결과 소성변형율에너지 소산량의 시간에 따른 변화로부터 다짐의 영향깊이 및 수평영향거리를 추정할 수 있었다. 소성변형율에너지 수렴시의 외부에너지를 Menard의 경험식에 적용할 경우 영향깊이를 판정할 수 있음을 알았다. 따라서 Menardtlr으로부터 영향깊이를 다짐하는데 필요한 최소한의 에너지를 구할수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • The hole for the insertion of the pin in the shank is exist at ball joint connection of the space frame. It brings about the brittle fracture caused by stress concentration. Consequently it cannot expect the deformation performance or energy absorption performance from ball joint connection. In this study we developed a new connection details which will increase the plastic deformation performance at ball joint connection and can absorb the error in construction, which expect the plastic deformation performance at the reduced shank without brittle fracture at the screw of bolt and pin. Also it's capacity is verified by the performance in numerical analysis and test. We confirmed bolt's plastic deformantion performance through controled shank and pin's area.

  • The fatigue crack growth model is derived and the retardation model is proposed. The fatigue crack growth model considers the residual plastic stretch on the crack surface which results from the plastic deformation at the tip of fatigue crack. The fatigue crack growth rate is calculated by using the cumulative fatigue damage and plastic strain energy in the material elements at the crack tip. This model gives the crack growth rate in reasonable agreement with test data for aluminum alloy AL6061-T651 and 17-4PH casting steel. The fatigue crack growth retardation model is based on the residual plastic stretch produced from a tensile overload which reduced the plastic strain range of the following load cycles. A strip-yield model of a crack tip plasticity is used for the calculation of a plastic zone size. The proposed retardation model characterized the observed features and delayed retardation of the fatigue crack growth under tensile overload.

  • 탄도충격에 의하여 파괴된 단결정 alumina의 파면조직을 광학 및 투과 전자현미경으로 연구 분석하였다. 파면의 주된 파괴 양상은 결정 입개면의 분리 또는 결정입내 파괴로 구성되어 있고 이러한 파괴과정은 복잡한 cleavage 양상과 결정입자 내에서의 소성변형을 수반하고 있다. 미세조직 관찰 결과에 의하면 alumina ceramics의 충격 파괴과정에서 에너지의 흡수가 국부적인 소성변형으로 나타나고 있음을 알 수 있었다.

Dynamic Effects for Crushing Strength of Rectangular Tubular Members (사각 튜브 부재의 압괴강도에 대한 동적 영향 평가)

  • When a thin walled member is subjected to compression in a condition such as collision, the energy is mainly absorbed by axial crumpling. In this case, dynamic crushing strength of the member is increased due to the effects of strain-rate compared with the static strength, even though the inertia effect is neglected. In this paper, the method of predicting the static crushing for tubular members is presented using the kinematic method of plasticity. Since, a predicted crushing load, taking account of the dynamic yield stress, usually overestimates the effects of strain-rate, the average plastic flow stress for the effects of strain-rate is used to obtain the dynamic crushing load for tubular members. The analytical results are compared with the experiments published in references, and a good correlation is observed.

  • When impacts by falling objects are applied to the structures, vertical resisting member(column or column group) results in progressive collapse. By knowing clearly load-deformation relationship of a structural frame, to prevent progressive collapse by absorbing potential energy of falling objects though column groups are lost by the impact of falling object accidently. If residual strength in vertical direction exceeds vertical load, which the sum of the weight of falling objects and usual supportive vertical load as the result of absorbing released location energy, it does not result in progressive collapse. On the other hand, in case when weight of falling objects is included in usual supportive vertical load. In this paper, 1-story 4-spans model is analyzed by non-linear FEM and to examine the level of deterioration, limit analysis of 1-story 4-spans plane frame was carried out.

Effects of Film Stack Structure and Peeling Rate on the Peel Strength of Screen-printed Ag/Polyimide (박막 적층 구조 및 필링 속도가 스크린 프린팅 Ag/Polyimide 사이의 필 강도에 미치는 영향)

  • Effects of film stack structure and peeling rate on the peel strength of screen-printed (SP) Ag/polyimide (PI) systems were investigated by a 90° peel test. When PI film was peeled at PI/SP-Ag and PI/SP-Ag/electroplated (EP) Cu structures, the peel strength was nearly constant regardless of the peeling rate. When EP Cu was peeled at EP Cu/SP-Ag/PI structure, the peel strength continuously increased as peeling rate increased. Considering uniaxial tensile test results of EP Cu/SP-Ag film with respect to loading rate, the increase of 90° plastic bending energy and peel strength was attributed to increased flow stress and toughness. On the other hand, viscoelastic PI film showed little variation of flow stress and toughness with respect to loading rate, which was assumed to result in nearly constant 90° plastic bending energy and peel strength.

Study on the Design of Deformation Tube for 200kJ Large Energy Absorption (200kJ 대용량 에너지 흡수용 변형튜브 설계에 관한 연구)

  • The market share of high-speed railway vehicles is increasing across the world. A high-performance impact energy absorption factor is essential to satisfy the safety standards of railway vehicles. A deformed tube assembly is a typical energy absorption factor in railway vehicles. The tube assembly comprises a deformed tube and a press-fitting punch, its performance depends on the absorption energy characteristics in the plastic zone of the tube. In this study, a deformed tube assembly of a railway vehicle is designed that can absorb a maximum impact energy of 200kJ under plastic deformation. Slab method and finite element analysis are used to estimate the reaction force of the punch in the initial stage, the performance of the designed tube assembly is confirmed experimentally.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate effects of the plastic/elastic deformation energy on wet etching characterization on the surface of material by using the nanoindentation and HF wet etching technique. Indents were made on the surface of Pyrex 7740 glass by the hyperfine indentation process with a Berkovich diamond indenter, and they were etched in $50\;wt\%$ HF solution. After etching process, convex structure was obtained due to the deformation-induced hillock phenomena. In this study, effects of indentation process parameters (normal load, loading rate) on the morphologies of the indented surfaces after isotopic etching were investigated from an angle of deformation energies.
