  • This study analyzes the planting status of alien plants in Gongsanseong, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It provides ecological information necessary to maintain and manage traditional landscapes and environments. Vascular flora was identified as 174 taxa (88.3%) of native plants, 21 taxa (10.7%) of alien plants, and 22 taxa (11.2%) of naturalized plants among the total 197 taxa. As for rare plants, endangered species (CR) Magnolia kobus DC. appeared, accounting for 0.5% of all plant species. Endemic plants were not identified. As for the invasive alien plants, 21 taxa were identified, such as the Rumex obtusifolius L and Sicyos angulatus L. As for the degree of spread, mild spread (MS) was identified as 7 taxa (35.0%), severe spread (SS) as 2 taxa (10.0%), and extensive spread (WS) as 10 taxa (50.0%). As for naturalized plants, 22 taxa were naturalized, followed by 8 taxa of Asteraceae and 4 taxa of Fabaceae. The urbanized index was 10.7% and the naturalized plants ratio was 6.5%. The management plan is to identify the location, size and growth information of each plant species in advance through continuous monitoring using experts. It is possible to establish an annual removal project plan based on basic information on alien species.

  • There is body type that physique classified by apparent characteristics as shape of human body. Chest girth circumference and body type statistically has been look into correlative disposition, character etc. In this paper, we carried out study about prediction of chest girth as voice that interrelationship drew to analyze voice of disposition, character etc. in personal character. With this in mind, we measured intensity, spectrum about laughter by chest girth to classify composition group of subjects and then we would like to extract experiment result to predict chest girth by reciprocal comparison.

  • Ship identification systems currently employed provide the underwater sound analysis, analyzed data saving and user interface with comparison function. But final analysis and identification depend only on experts. Therefore, the reliability of these identification systems relies on user's ability on information recognition. This paper presents the method of recognition for the purpose of providing the basic data for an automatic ship class identification. we get the underwater sounds using the PC. We use Matlab in order to reduce ambient noises, take out an acoustic characteristics using the pattern recognition, and classify the ships.

  • To investigate the distribution of vascular plants growing at Halmibong(1,026m) and Gusibong(1,014m) in Baekdutrail, we surveyed from March in 2013 to March in 2014. The flora of Haimibong and Gusibong in Baekdu trail were found to be; 528 taxa; 95 families, 287 genus, 454 species, 4 subspecies, 59 varieties, 11 forma. Rare plants were found to be; 15 taxa, 10 families, 14 genus, 13 species, 2 varieties. Among them EN degree was found to be 1 species(Rhododendron tschonoskii Maxim.), VU degree; 2 species(Scorzonera albicaulis Bunge, Lilium cernuum Kom.), LC degree; 12 species(Abies koreana Wilson, Coreanomecon hylomeconoides Nakai, Viola albida Palib. etc.) respectively. In all surveyed areas, a total of 15 taxa(Heloniopsis koreana Fuse, N.S.Lee & M.N. Tamura etc.) were found to be endemic to Korea. Distribution of floristic special plants in the surveyed areas were found to be divided into five classes (class I~V). The floristic special plants found in surveyed areas were 2 taxa of grade V, 6 taxa of grade IV, 12 taxa of grade III, respectively. The naturalized plants were investigated as 23 taxa; Rumex crispus L., Amorpha fruticosa L., Veronica arvensis L. etc..

  • This study conducted a flora survey in the areas of Mt. Sambong (282m) and Mt. Jaung (263m), located in Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do. A total of 434 taxa, including 6 forms, 34 varieties, 11 subspecies, 383 species, 271 genera, and 94 families, were surveyed in the two mountain areas. The ferns were identified as 24 taxa from 10 families, the gymnosperms as 8 taxa from 2 families, the dicotyledonous plants as 322 taxa from 73 families, and the monocotyledonous plants as 80 taxa from 9 families. Five taxa, including Salix koriyanagi, Cimicifuga heracleifolia, Forsythia koreana, Paulownia coreana, and Hemerocallis hakuunensi, were identified as the Korean endemic plants. Eight taxa, including Cimicifuga heracleifolia, Tylophora floribunda, and Iris minutiaurea as Vulnerable species, andAristolochia contorta, Viola diamantiaca, Lithospermum erythrorhizon, Lilium distichum, andArisaema heterophyllumas Least Concern species, were designated as rare and endangered plants designated by the Korea Forest Service. The invasive alien plants were 40 taxa, including Rumex crispus, Phytolacca americana, Cerastium glomeratum, Silene armeria, Chenopodium album, Chenopodium ficifolium, Magnolia obovata, Potentilla supina, Amorpha fruticosa, Medicago sativa, Robinia pseudoacacia, Trifolium repens, Euphorbia supina, Hibiscus trionum, and Oenothera biennisaccounting for 9.2 percent of the 434 taxa of the surveyed plants. As this area is a mountainous area close to settlement facilities, it is believed that ecological preservation measures and measures of specialized plants should be implemented.
