흔히 사람이 살아가면서 없어선 안 될 요소로 의식주를 손꼽곤 한다. 그런데 이 3가지 요소 중에서 의류가 맨 앞에 포진함은 의미심장하다. 먹고 자는 행위보다 입는 행위가 더 중요해서 일까. 아마 잠시라도 사람의 곁을 떠나지 않으면 안 되는 필수적인 요소이기 때문에 의류를 제일 앞에 포진시킨 것이 아닐 까 한다. 사실 인간이 옷을 입지 않고 존재하는 시간은 얼마 되지 않는다. 은밀한 사적인 공간에서 아니면 인간은 입어야 하는 게 숙명이다. 반면 삶에 있어 반드시 필요한 입는 행위의 이면에는 빠는 행위, 즉 세탁의 행위가 숙명처럼 존재한다. 한번 입고 옷을 버리지 않은 이상 세탁은 삶에 있어 필수 불가결한 요소이다. 이러한 행위를 가장 편하게 만드는 이기가 세탁기이다. 세탁은 가정에서 하는 게 일반적이기만 상업용 세탁용 시장도 존재한다. 돈 주고 세탁을 맡기는 세탁소가 대표적인 업종이다. 그런데 최근 상업용 세탁 시장의 틈새시장으로 셀프 빨래방이 확대되고 있다. 셀프 빨래방은 말 그대도 소비자가 혼자 세탁기 및 건조기를 이용해 세탁을 하는 업태이다. 셀프세탁 문화의 확대가 전제되어야 하는 이 신업태가 과연 얼마만큼의 시장 파급력을 형성할 수 있을 까. 이 신업태의 중심에 있는 코인업사는 셀프 빨래방의 급속 확산과 성공을 자신하고 있다. 무인매장으로 24시간, 365일 운영을 할 수 있다는 사업 본연의 장점에다 최근 매장 경쟁력을 강화할 야심에 찬 제품군까지 준비했다. 바야흐로 셀프 빨래방의 전성시대를 열어가려하는 코인업의 신사업 추진 현황을 따라가 봤다.

The aim of this study is to investigate the housework space viewed from housewives and husband in dual-earner families. For this study, depth-interview method were used to collects the data. The depth-interview were conducted on the eight heusewives and two husbands in dual-earner families in Jinju and Gwangju in April 2005. The narratives were then analyzed to discover the demands of the kitchen and laundry room. The major results were as follows: 1) Dual-earner families want the kitchen design is they can share housework with their spouses, such as kitchen facing the front side of the floor plan and island counter. In addition, they want spacious, adjustable(flexible), visible storage to enable the housewives to work with their spouse efficiently. Space for Kimchi refrigerator should be considered in the kitchen. 2) They want the noise-free laundry because the interviewers did their laundry work in the night time. Also, they want a multi-purpose laundry mm where machine washing, hand washing, drying and ironing can be done. In addition, for hand-washing wives and husbands, specific space and facilities where they can hand washing on stand posture were needed.

전통 날염방식(Silk Screen)과 디지털날염(Digital Textile Printing)을 비교해보면, 디지털날염은 디자인에서부터 날염까지의 전공정을 완전히 디지털화함으로서 다양하게 디자인할 수 있고 미묘한 색감의 흐름을 표현할 수 있어서 자연스러운 이미지의 표현이 가능하다. 그러나 현재 디지털날염을 피혁이나 직물에 적용하기에는 프린팅속도가 느려서 생산성이 낮고 이미지 내구성(세탁, 승화, 일광, 및 마찰견뢰도)이 낮은 등 많은 단점을 가지고 있다. 또한 신발산업은 현재 중국이나 동남아시아 등 개발도상국의 등장으로 수출의 국제적 경쟁시대에 접어들면서 대량생산이나 획일적인 디자인으로부터 벗어나 고부가가치 상품을 생산해야하는 과제를 안게 되었다. 한편 가죽에 응용가능한 잉크는 크게 수성, 유성, 용제형과 자외선 경화형의 잉크가 있으며 자외선 경화형 잉크는 자외선을 이용하여 기존의 잉크의 단점을 보완한 것이다. 자외선 경화형 잉크는 자외선 램프를 열원으로 하여 이온 또는 라디칼 중합, 광중합을 하며, 에너지 소비가 적어 경제적이며 시스템 가동시 비활성 기체가 필요하지 않다. 또한 자외선 경화형 기술은 상온에서 이용할 수 있으며 잉크의 경우 건조하는 데 걸리는 시간이 필요하지 않다. 또한 시스템을 가동 시키거나 중지 시키는 것이 쉬우며 고속으로 연속적인 일을 처리할 수 있다. 프린터의 크기가 작아 공간 효율이 유리하며 용제나 $CO_2$가 발생하지 않아 친환경적인 기술이라 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 자외선 경화형 시스템을 잉크에 적용하여 피혁 표면에 프린팅한 다음 그 견뢰도를 측정함으로써 그 효과를 알아보았다. 세탁에 의한 Matlab 측정값으로부터 용제형 잉크의 경우는 세탁 전, 후 line width가 큰 차이를 보이나 자외선 경화형 잉크의 경우는 그 차이가 적음으로부터 자외선 경화형 잉크가 용제형에 비해 색상 탈리가 적었음을 말한다. 또한 raggedness값 역시 마찬가지 결과를 보여 안료 색소와 피혁의 접착성이 향상된 것을 알 수 있다. SEM을 이용한 피혁의 표면과 단면 사진을 보면 용제형보다 자외선 경화형 잉크를 사용한 피혁이 좀 더 매끈한 표면을 보이는데 이것은 접착기능을 하는 아크릴레이트에 의해 균일한 날염이 가능하기 때문이라 고 생각된다. 이상의 결과로부터 자외선 경화형 잉크가 세탁, 마찰, 일광 견뢰도가 우수함을 알 수 있었으며 기존의 용제형 잉크를 대체할 수 있는 좋은 재료라고 생각된다.

Unlike other processes such as washing, the ironing process in the laundry process is difficult to standardize and thus relies on manual labor. Unlike upper garments, pants have pleats at the waist as well as a crease line below the waist, Therefore, two separate ironing devices have been developed and used. However, in this method, problems such as additional worker input, space loss, and wrinkling of pants occur due to manual movement between processes, Consequently, a pants ironing device that combines the two equipments is required. The all-in-one pants ironing system described in this paper automatically sequentially irons the upper part and side of the pants regardless of the length, shape, and upper pleats of the pants. It also performs a self-diagnosis function while displaying the ironing progress on the user's monitor. As a result of this study, it became possible to double the amount of ironing and reduce power consumption by more than 20% compared to the case of using two independent equipment.

우리가 일상생활에서 사용하는 가전제품 중에서 소음 진동이 발생하여 생활에 영향을 미치는 제품으로 세탁기를 들 수 있다. 세탁기의 종류는 회전하는 축의 방향에 의해 수직축(vertical axis)과 수평축 (horizontal axis) 방식으로 나누며 국내, 일본및 동남아시아 등에서 사용하는 펄세이터식(pulsator type) 세탁기와 미국을 비롯한 미주에서 사용하는 애지테이터식(agitator type)세탁기는 전자에 속하고 유럽에서 사용하는 드럼식(drum type) 세탁기는 후자에 속한다. 드럼 세탁기의 장점은 물을 적게 사용하고, 삶는 세탁이 가능하며, 건조 기능을 갖고 있으므로 별도의 건조기가 필요없어서 공간을 절약하는 것이다. 또 빨래가 펄세이터나 애지테이터 등의 교반체와 직접 접촉하지 않기 때문에 빨래의 마모가 적다. 드럼식 세탁기의 단점으로는 가격이 펄세이터식이나 애지테이터식에 비해서 비싸고, 무게가 무거우며, 탈수시에 소음과 진동이 심하다. 특히 탈수시 발생하는 소음과 진동은 이방식의 세탁기의 가장 큰 약점이다. 지금까지는 드럼식 세탁기의 진동 소음을 감소시키려는 적극적인 노력이 없었는데, 볼밸런스를 적용한 드럽 세탁기를 개발하여 소음과 진동을 획기적으로 감소시켰다.

The random pulse width modulation(RPWM) in inverter-fed induction motor drive is presented. This paper describes a RPWM method based on space vector PWM strategy for shaping the switching noise spectrum in such a way it can merge with the natural system noise. To verify the validity of the proposed RPWM scheme, the experiment based on the DSP56F803 microprocessor was executed finally, the simulation and experimental results will be given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the unposed RPWM scheme.
