Aanalyze the Fluid Inside the Ceramic Filtration Dust Collection System (세라믹 필터 집진기의 유동 해석)

  • This study aimed to analyze the fluid inside the ceramic filtration dust collection system which was assumed to be a stationary 3-dimensional turbulence. The fluid dynamics data necessary for performance curves were obtained based on the analysis results. The governing equations used to compute the velocity distribution and pressure inside the catalyst converter were expressed with continuity and momentum equations. Furthermore, the ${\kappa}-{\varepsilon}$ turbulence model, already validated by the industry(coal factory, high temperature dust collector) was used for the study. Of a total of three computational models employed, Model-1 served as the basis for CFD analysis which took measurements in increments of 70mm.

A Study on the Removal of SOx and NOx Using Catalytic Ceramic Filters (촉매담지 세라믹 필터를 이용한 황산화물과 질소산화물의 제거에 관한 연구)

  • Removal teals of Soxmox were performed using low density ceramic filters doped with various catalysts. Disc type (50 mmO.Dx10 mmt) low density ceramic filters were doped with three different catalysts such as Cu to remove SOx and NOx, and Mn and Co to remove NOx. The air permeabilities and specific surface areas were 40~50cc/min.cm2.cmH2O and 4.1~8.88 m2/g, respectively. Also, the peak pore sizes of catalyst support were 3~5nm. Tests were focused to search optimum operating temperatures for different catalysts. It was found that as the CuO content increases, SOx removal efficiency was increased. NOx removal efficiencies for Mn, Cu and Co, were 85% at 30$0^{\circ}C$, 90% at 40$0^{\circ}C$ and 90% at 45$0^{\circ}C$, respectively.

적층형 압전변압기

  • 압전변압기는 압전효과를 응용한 점화소자와 필터의 중간적인 존재로서 그 두 기능을 합친 것과 같은 특성을 가지며, 전기적 에너지가 기계적 에너지로 변환된 후 다시 전기적 에너지로 환원되는 과정을 통하여 고전압을 얻는 변압기이다. 이러한 변압기는 자속을 응용하는 일반적인 변압기와는 달리, 유전체인 압전세라믹소자의 압전현상과 공진현상을 응용하므로 주파수대역이 좁고 취급되는 전류가 적다는 단점이 있으나, 구조가 간단하고, 제작이 용이하며, 소형이고, 손실이 적은 장점들이 있어서 특히 고전압고전류원을 필요로하는 음극선관, 음이온발생기, 집진기, 전자복사기, 도장기 등에 이용되고 있으며, 최근에는 다른 분야에도 응용이 시도되고 있다. 여기서는 기존의 압전변압기 중에서 가장 많이 쓰이고 있는 Rosen형(또는 transverse형)압전변압기의 구조와 특성들을 간단히 기술하고, 새로운 형태인 적층형 압전변압기에 관하여 소개하고자 한다.

  • A proposed multi-layer ceramic (MLC) chip type band-pass filter (BPF) is presented. The MLC chip BPF has the benefits of low cost and small size. The BPF consists of coulped stripline resonators and coupling capacitors. The BPF is designed to have an attenuation pole at below the passband for a receiver band of IMT-2000 handset. The computer-aided design technology is applied for analysis of the BPF frequency characteristics. The passband and attenuation pole depend the coupling between resonators and coupling capacitance. The frequency characterics of the passband and attenuation pole are analysed with the variance of the coupling between resonators and coupling capacitance. An equivalent circuit and structure of MLC chip BPF are proposed. The frequency characteristics of the BPF is well acceptable for IMT-2000 application.

  • The theory was analyzed and the computer program was developed for simulation about ceramic filter in the state of the one-strip electrode using the energy trapping effect. They were fabricated using the PZT-4 specimen. Each of the average differances of the resonant point and bandwidth between by the theoretical calculations and by experiment results was 5.6[%] and 3.72[%], and it is considered that this differance is originated from the high temperature and stress during the process that the ceramic filter was fabricated It is considered that the one-strip ceramic filter having a wanted characteristics and the lowest differance is fabricated easily by means of the simulation developed in this paper and the fabrication methods.

  • Ceramic filter using energy trapping pheonomenon is used bandpass filter at high frequency. In this paper, we analyzed theoretically ceramic filter characteristics of TS vibrational mode and also investigated experimentally it. The ceramic plate is PZT-4 poled in the thickness direction of Valpey Fisher Co. and electroded with two pairs. We analyzed the characteristics in appling to the all constant of ceramic and electrode material each other and vibrational mode. We also measured resonant frequency and bandpass width of the ceramic filter changing the thickness of ceramic plate and electrode spacing. Comparing of falter characteristics, theoretical value nearly corresponded with experimental value. So we saw that we can expect filter characteristics changing the thickness of ceramic plate and electrode spacing.

  • Collectors connected to diesel engine exhaust pipe for application of PM reduction facilities which was used to reduce PM from the exhaust gas produced from ship, Filtration performance of PM was tested. In this system, it was confirmed that the bag house can remove over 90 percent of PM from a lot of high temperature and high pressure gases produced in diesel engine. The results obtained from performance test show the potential possibility for commercialization of ceramic filter collectors which is applied to reduction facilities of flue gas produced from a diesel engine on the ship.

  • Among after treatment devices which reduce exhaust gas of diesel engine, diesel oxidation catalyst(DOC) with high reduction efficiency for gaseous matter and particulate matter is now being studied actively. In this study, an experiment was conducted to analyze the effects on factors of oxidaton characteristics and conversion efficiency of DOC. We tested to estimate change of engine performance whether a 11,000cc diesel engine equipps with DOC or not. We conducted test to estimate the reduction efficiency of exhaust gas in P-5 mode, in D-13 mode of heavy duty diesel regulation mode and in somoke opacity mode for two samples and also we conducted test to analyze the effects about both exhaust gas velocities 1,100rpm and 2,200rpm

A study on the ceramic filter trap in CI engine (CI기관에 있어서 세라믹 필터트랩에 관한 연구)

  • This study is a theoretical analysis and experimental effect of oxygen concentration, exhaust velocity and trap inlet temperature on particulate ignition temperature with installation of ceramic filter trap in diesel engine. So the following results are obtained. 1, Based on the fundamental experiments of the regeneration process, the analytical model was developed and the results from the analytical model agreed with the experiments, then the validity of the model was proved. 2, The ignition temperature for accumulated particulate was proportional to the exhaust velocity and it was known that the optimum exhaust velocity was about 15m/sec. 3, The ignition temperature for accumulated particulate was inversely proportional to the oxygen concentration and the trap inlet temperature, and a minimum oxygen concentration of 5% was required to sustain regeneration. 4, This experimental filter trap(EX-66) is found about 30% of smoke reduction efficiency in comparison with existing muffler.
