A Study on Collaboration of Computer Game and Film (게임과 영화의 콜래버레이션에 관한 연구)

  • 본 연구에서는 최근 활성화되고 있는 게임과 영화의 콜래버레이션 현상에 대해 논의하고 흥행에 관해 분석한다. 이 분석의 결과에 따르면 영화를 원작으로 만들어진 게임은 성공률이 높은 반면 게임을 원작으로 만들어진 영화는 기대만큼의 흥행을 거두기가 어렵다는 것을 알 수 있다. 이런 현상이 발생하는 이유로는 영화자체의 낮은 완성도를 들 수 있고, 이미 게임을 해본 사람들을 주 타킷으로 만들어 졌기 때문에 게임을 하지 않는 대다수의 관객에게 외면을 당했다. 또한 게임과 영화의 본질적인 차이를 고려하지 않고 단순히 게임의 명성에 힘입어 게임 흉내 내기에 그쳤던 것을 알 수 있다. 게임을 원작으로 영화를 제작하려면 먼저 제작자나 감독이 그 게임의 고수가 되어, 게임의 세계관을 이해하고 스토리를 충분히 보존하여 게임을 하는 생생한 느낌을 살리는 연출을 해야 할 것이다.

  • 다양한 게임의 분야 중 온라인게임의 가장 큰 특징은 게임 속 캐릭터가 게이머 지시에 따라 역할을 수행하며 이를 통해 캐릭터가 성장하는 상호작용성을 갖는 것이다 온라인 게임에서의 캐릭터는 게이머 자신을 표현하는 대상이 되며 동시에, 현실의 자아와 게임의 세계관이 결합해서 나오는 하나의 인격체이기도 하다. 캐릭터 선정은 게이머가 게임을 시작하기 위해 진행하는 최초의 행위이기 때문에 게이머들은 각자 판단하는 기준을 사용하여 캐릭터를 선정하게 된다. 따라서 게이머의 캐릭터 선정 기준을 파악하는 것은 게임 캐릭터를 기획/디자인하는 과정에서 필수적인 사항이라고 말할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 게임캐릭터를 선정하는 과정에서 게이머의 결정에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하기 위해, WoW 여성 캐릭터의 성격과 호감도를 중심으로 가설을 설정하고 연구를 진행하였다. 캐릭터의 선정 과정과 호감도의 상관관계를 알아보기 위하여 피설문자의 캐릭터 선정 순위와 피설문자가 평가한 각각의 캐릭터의 호감도와 성격의 5요인을 분석하여 캐릭터의 선정 결과와 호강도의 관계를 도출하였다. 이를 통해 가설을 검증하고 게임 캐릭터의 기획 및 디자인 과정에서의 캐릭터 구성 방향을 제안한다.

  • <스폐셜포스>. <스타크래프트>, <리니지1,2>등 이른바 게임순위 '부동의 3인방'을 제외한 10위권내 게임들의순위싸움이 치열한 한 달이었다. 리니지시리즈가 주도하고 있던 일명 '노가다'중심의 한국 온라인 RPG시장에서 방대한 세계관과 퀘스트위주의 참신한 게임성으로 RPG흐름 자테를 바꾸어 놓았던 <월드 오브 워크래프트>(이하('와우')는 지난달 17일 18시를 기점으로 전격적으로 '가격인하'를 단행. 제2의 도약을 꿈꾸고 있다. 상용화 초기, 다소 비싼 정액요금으로 유저들의 반발을 사기도 했던 와우는 7일. 30일. 90일의 정액 요금을 각각 20%씩 인하했다. 특히 30일 기준으로 1만9,800원으로 책정된 와우의 이용요금은 최근 상용화를 단행한 로한)과 더불어 30일 기준. 2만원 이하의 온라인게임 가격파괴를 가져올 것이라는 조심스런 전망까지 나오고 있다. 더욱 치열해지고 있는 온라인게임들의 4월한달간 게임동향을 살펴봤다.

Middles School Students Worldview and Consciousness about the Environment (중학생의 환경세계관과 환경의식)

  • The present study is to investigate the middle school students' worldview and consciousness about the environment. To conduct this study, 605 students from the two middle schools of Daegu metropolitan area, seventh grade, were measured using a modified version of New Environmental Paradigm (NEP) instrument and qustionnaire of environmental consciousness. The results are as follows: First, a majority of middle school students held an ecological environmental worldview. They also had a similar environmental worldview to education experience on environment-related to subjects. The strongest area of agreement with the NEP were in the "Negative results of growth and technology." The weakest area of agreement with the NEP were in the "Quality of life" dimension with only 44.9 percent agreement across that dimension's four statements. Second, the middle school students are sensible of consciousness in environmental problems. They pointed out that air pollution and noise are the most as sever problems in country and local area, respectively. Finally, the subjects who showed the higher environmental worldview had a higher environmental consciousness and better attitudes related to environmental problems.

  • In the era of transmedia, it has become normalized to use different media for the same content. The paper of this research is, in such a transmedia era, in order to meet the needs of the public, what elements should be considered when adapting a novel into a game. The study takes the novel "Zhu Xian" and its game adaptation "Zhu Xian Hand Tour" as the research object, focusing on the worldview and characters, analyzing the elements needed for the adaptation, and uses a questionnaire to understand players' satisfaction with the elements of the adaptation. The results show that the audience satisfaction of the worldview and character visualization elements in the adaptation of "The Zhu Xian Hand Tour" is high, but the basic information and appearance elements in the ethnic composition of the worldview and the character visualization elements need to be modified. The study can provide a design suggestion for game planners and designers.

  • 최근 게임에서 '신화'적인 요소가 들어가는 경우는 이름, 고유 명칭만 들어가거나 신화의 이야기를 게임 세계관에 참조만 하는 정도로 그치고 있다. 비교적 최근 북유럽 신화 자체를 다룬 '갓 오브 워'가 나오기는 했지만, 아직도 신화 그 자체를 다룬 게임은 적은 편이다. 그리스 신화, 켈트 신화, 조로아스터교 신화 등 여러 신화가 있지만 그 중에서도 북유럽 신화의 다양한 이야기들을 조사하여 게임으로써 어떤 장르에, 어떤 방향으로 스토리를 적용시켜야 할지 스토리텔링의 방향을 제시하고자 한다.

A Research on Investigation Results of Teenagers' Civic and Ethic Awareness - Confucian values and a Treatise of Human Nature (유교사상을 통한 청소년의 시민윤리의식 실증조사연구)

  • This study investigates the relationship between South Korean youths' Confucian values and sense of citizen ethics while presenting outlook on the sense of citizen ethics based on the theory of human nature. The purpose of this study, by doing so, is to present educational measures. For this purpose, empirical research method was applied in this study. In the empirical study, youths were surveyed and the answers were statistically analyzed and discussed with a view to achieve the study purpose. In the empirical research part of the study, Korean youths' awareness on Confucian values was examined along with its relationship with the sense of citizen ethics. The effect of Confucian values on sense of citizen ethics and their relationship were analyzed to evaluate the receptivity of youths on Confucian ideas and usefulness of sense of citizen ethics. This study investigated a total of final 311 sets of data from male and female students at middle and high schools located in Seoul, Gyeonggi, South Korea. First, to identify the youths' Confucian values and level of sense of citizen ethics, descriptive statistical analysis was conducted. As a result, the survey subjects were found to have, concerning the Confucian values, world view M=3.54, human relations view M=3.66, morality cultivation M=3.76, and social order M=3.45, higher than 3.0 to represent positive levels. The morality cultivation, in particular, was recorded the highest among all whereas the social order was relatively lower, which represents the degree of relying on Confucian values to establish social order. Second, the sub-variables of Confucian values were verified according to the personal characteristics of the surveyed youths and differences in their entire perception was investigated. As a result, according to gender, morality cultivation was found higher in female students (M=3.85) than in male students (M=3.64). According to the subjective economic level of their household, world view was found higher in upper class (M=3.98) than middle-low class (M=3.25) and low class (M=3.22) while human relations view was found higher in middle-upper class (M=3.79) than low class (M=3.46). As for the family type, morality cultivation was found higher in extended family (M=3.83) than nuclear family (M=3.62); and social order was higher in extended family (M=3.54) than nuclear family (M=3.36). Third, to verify the study theme of identifying the effects of youths' Confucian values on sense of citizen morality, hierarchical regression analysis was employed in this study, which used the multi-level model of multiple regression analysis. As a result, the Confucian values was found to have significant positive (+) correlations with the entire sense of citizen ethics in order of human relations view(${\beta}=.499$), world view(${\beta}=.412$), social order(${\beta}=.341$), and morality cultivation(${\beta}=.241$). Confucian value showed significant positive (+) correlations with autonomy in order of morality cultivation(${\beta}=.458$), human relations view(${\beta}=.454$), social order(${\beta}=.362$), and world view(${\beta}=.158$). Confucian values was found to have significant positive (+) correlations with community spirit in order of human relations view(${\beta}=.295$), social order(${\beta}=.281$), and morality cultivation(${\beta}=.232$). As shown in the findings above, youths' Confucian values was found to have significant positive (+) effects on the sense of citizen ethics. It is noted that the higher the Confucian values, the more positive the sense of citizen ethics would be. Consequentially, the Confucian values was identified to play an important role in the sense of citizen ethics in the modern society. Based on this analysis, this study presented specific measures - the necessity and possibility of education on sense of citizen ethics under the theory of human nature. To this end, this study proposed to find an optimal interface between the contemporary sense of citizen ethics and Confucian ethics through the respect for human life and nature, man of virtue as the ideal human model, and united society as a desirable society model.

Now, new Sigo should be concentrated on the mythological and historical voice from true nature and the body of human being, That is. ut should be converted into an ecological world view resolutely and restored a form of expression granted specific characteristics of our language. Advantages the computer media have brought. that is. equality freedom. human rights. harmony. pro-environmental value. can be maximized by positively accepting an ecological world view of Sijo which had included daily lives and spirits of the nation. Moreover. these all changes of new Sijo have to be established and recreated in the traditional expressions of Sijo. Aesthetic value of Sijo should be found in the expression forms such as phonetic harmony, rules of versification, rhythm, and etc. Then, we can overcome modern society's pathological phenomena such as severance, separation, dissolution, estrangement, psychiatric syndrome and etc. which visual media superiority brought. At the same time. it will cure ills of modern poems, Sijo and writing epochally and can establish true happiness and development.

A critical study on the themes of modern Sijo (현대시조 주제에 대한 비평적 고찰)

  • The poetic theme is a unified principle of which a poet writes poems out in his work. Theme is a poet's central thought expressed in his works. And it was described on the basis of writer's view of the world and life. In this study, I divided the themes of modern Sijo into three kinds according to the materials for a poem. Especially I am interested not so much in the poems taking outer problems of human life for the subject of a poem as in poems dealing with fundamental problems of human life such as self-consciousness, death, God's presence. Firstly, in modern Sijo which deals with poet's self-reflection and self-consciousness as a poet, poets examine himself. And he intends to write poems more severely. The more poet reflects self-consciousness, the more earnestly he tries hard to write good poems. As a poet. he feels complication between real-self and ideal self, so he tries to conquer the shame made in the gab of them. And he takes writing poems into his divinely appointed work in life. A kind of meta-Sijo is written in this circumstances. Secondly, there are modern Sijo, which shows deep concerns in death problems of human life. Thanatopsis expressed in modern Sijo is connected with poet's personal experiences. In most cases, poet describes fragmentary thoughts, sorrows and agony after death of his intimate persons. In Sijo, however, poets don't dig Into the death problem deep enough because of the characteristics of genre. But it is very significant work to take various materials of death into poetic themes in Sijo in that it makes us to reflect of human attitude of life. Thirdly, the poetic themes of dealing with fundamental problems of human and God are expressed in Sijo based on Christian view of the world. In such a poems, poet complains to God who looks in illogical human situations as a spectator of vulgar realities of life. But ultimately. poet expresses deep affirmation and obedience of God in his poems. So he manifests Christianity by the poetic paradox. Such poems change over the theme of modern Sijo the superficial Problems of reality to the deep situation of life.
