This paper presents an approach based on knowledge models to detect and isolate faults in a voltage source inverter. These faults do not affect the existing system protections. A diagnosis system which uses only the input variables of the drive is presented. It is based on the analysis of the current-vector trajectory and of the instantaneous frequency in faulty mode. These two methods have been verified in simulation results.

An unwanted trip of backup distance relays often lead to a blackout. This paper presents investigation report on involvement of backup distance relays in the past blackouts and sensitivity-factor based algorithm to make a distinction between a fault and overload caused by line tripping. A preliminary idea to prevent deterioration of the situation due to unwanted trip of distance relays by utilizing the proposed algorithm is presented.

This study was investigated the actual usefulness of bathrooms in individuals living in apartment. We performed a randomized questionaire study involving 487 individuals who use a unit-bathroom and live in apartment in Taegu and its rural cities for the period from May to June, 2000. Most of the individuals used bathroom for washing behavior of daily living, such as, washing hands, feet, face, and hair, except bathing. Almost all the individuals reported some complaints about the height and size of wash-stand when they wash face or hair. And most of the individuals does not use the bath-tube when they shower or bathe.

본 논문에서는 10Mbps 뿐만 아니라 100Mbps를 지원하는 패스트 이더넷 제어기인 LAN-100 IP 모듈 개발과 물리 계층에 대한 인터페이스인 LN-100 어댑터에 대해 논한다. LAN-100 IP 모듈은 10Mbps 및 100Mbps 속도를 지원하는데 이를 위해 SMC사의 Feast 91C100 Fast Ethernet controller를 사용하였다. 따라서 본 논문에서 주로 다루고자 하는 내용은 이 이더넷 칩의 디바이스 드라이버 개발에 관해서이다. 즉, 이더넷 초기화 과정과 이더넷 송신부 및 수신부 그리고 인터럽터 처리에 대해 논한다. 또한 개발된 드라이버의 송수신 성능에 관한 내용도 함께 다룬다.

현재의 네트워크는 패킷 기반 기술의 LAN에서 MAN으로의 이동이 중요한 기술 동향 중의 하나로 자리 매김하고 있고, 인터넷 트래픽의 급격한 증가는 메트로망에서의 패킷 기반 전송 기술에 대한 필요성을 가져왔다. 본 고에서는 메트로 망에서 IP 트래픽을 전송하기 위한 데이터 전송 기술에 관하여 살펴보고, 각 데이터 전송 기술에 대한 장단점 및 특성 비교, 경제성 및 성능 분석에 대해 논의한다.

This paper introduces AmericaView, a consortium for promoting remote sensing education, research and applications. As a case study, GeorgiaView is described in more detail. The AmericaView Consortium and StateView Consortia are good examples of collaboration for broadening the horizon of remote sensing applications in South Korea. Furthermore, the AmericaView example represents an opportunity for building a stepping stone to international collaboration.

지난 7월 10일에서 14일까지 5일간 한국광산업진흥회는 참관단을 구성해 일본 치바현 마꾸하리 멧세에서 열린 ‘InterOpto 2000' 행사에 참여했다. InterOpto 2000'은 일본에서 열리는 최대규모의 광산업박람회로 국내업체로는 동우옵트론, 삼성정밀화학, 포엔티, 도남시스템 등 4개 업체가 참여했다. 참관단은 'InterOpto 2000' 참관과 함께 일본광산업관련업체 견학, 일본광산업기술진흥협회 (OITDA)와의 상호교류 업무협의, 광산업 박람회 개최관련 자료 및 정보수집 등의 업무를 수행했다. 또한 광산업 관련 세미나에 참석해 광산업의 동향과, 기술현황을 살폈다.

이재결합재의 피로시험에서 나타나는 피로균열성정거동은, 역시 균열선단이 결합경계의 근방에 있거나 경계상에 있을 때의 것이 균질재료에서의, 거동과 비교.검토되어야겠다. 이재결합재를 여기에서는 탄성계수 E 값이 동일(또는 근접)한 이재간의 결합재와, E 값이 현저히 다른 이재 간의 결합재로 나누어 그 피로시험예를 검토해 나가기로 하겠다. 또한 전술한 바와 같이 이재 결합재에 의한 피로시험 그 자체의 난전으로 말미암아 파괴역학적으로 해석된 이재결합재피로 균열거동연구보고가 극히 부진함에 비추어 여기에서는 주로 필자가 발효한 연구보고들을 바탕 으로 해서 검토해 나가기로 하겠다.
