A Decomposition Analysis of Energy Productivity Change in Korean Manufacturing Industries: A Distance Function Approach (제조업 에너지 생산성 분해분석)

  • This paper decomposed energy productivity changes across 14 Korean manufacturing industries into 5 components, technological catch-up(EC), technological progress(TC), and changes in labor-energy ratio(LC), capital-energy ratio(KC) and energy mix(EMC). Then we also figured out the possible relationship between energy productivity change and export growth rate across the industries. It is found that (1) technological progress, changes in capital-energy ratio and energy mix contribute to energy productivity growth in Korea during the sample period, (2) technological progress is the primary driving forces for energy productivity growth, (3) increase in export growth rate had a positive impact on energy productivity growth excepting a part of energy-intensive industries.

Suspended Time Dependent Meat Weight Increase of Oysters, Crassostrea gigas, in Pukman Bay, Korea (북만의 양식 참굴, Crassostrea gigas의 수하시기에 따른 육중량 변화)

  • From September 1994 to April 1996, we observed the suspending time dependant meat increase (dry weight) for oysters at Pukman Bay in Korea. The oysters which suspended in September increased to 5 g in meat weight (dry weight) by January. Ones in June increased rapidly but lessened during summer and this stagnation of meat increase extended to autumn. It took long time to compensate for the loss of meat weight owing to spawning. Oysters suspended in July or August showed low growth or stagnation due to the high water temperature and spawning activities after suspending. However, meat weight showed sudden increasement after December and achieved 5 g at the late farm period. The meat increase of oysters suspended in October or November was very slow during entire growing period. Most of them did not achieved 5 g during farm period. The negative correlation was observed between meat growth and water temperature in September. Also, there was a high correlation between meat growth and chlorophyll-a. It was believed that deficiency of food organisms in the water column lead slow growth in terms of meat growth, particularly right after transplanting seed oysters to the farm. Our study suggests that proper time for transplanting oysters is between August and mid-September. However, the data indicate that good growth of oysters is depending upon amount of food available in the water column.

An Empirical Study on the Determinants of Economic Growth and Contribution in China (중국경제의 성장요인과 성장요인별 기여도에 관한 실증연구)

  • The purpose of this paper is to examine the impact of production factors on economic growth in China during 1979~2008. In order to grasp the determinant and contribution analysis, we take fixed effect model and random effect model and Hausman test to choice model. The results show that the finance variable (rsav) and SOC variable (rsoc) have negative effects on the economic growth in the long run except some models. But unimproved raw labor variable (rlab), physical capital variable (rcap) and education variable (redu) shows strongly positive effect for the same time. We found the meaning of coefficients of growth factors. relative contribution of each input to per-capita growth in China. The direct elative contribution of physical investment to per-capita growth gives 35.9 percent in total model (TMO) and unimproved raw labor contributes only 4.7 percent. In all modes, physical investment (rcap) was the most important contributor of predicted growth in China economy.

Associations of Longitudinal Changes in Marital Satisfaction and Depression among Elderly Couples: An Application of the Dyadic Growth Actor-Partner Interdependence Model (노년기 부부의 관계만족도와 우울의 종단적 변화 사이의 관련성: 이자성장 행위자-상대방 상호의존 모형의 적용)

  • The current study investigated how elderly husbands and wives' marital satisfaction and depression change over time and examined how changes in marital satisfaction account for changes in depression between and within the dyads. The longitudinal dyadic data from the first wave(2006) to the fifth wave(2014) of the Korean Longitudinal Study of Aging(KLoSA), collected by the Korea Employment Information Service, were used for the analyses. Because husbands and wives are interdependent within couples, we applied statistical models for dyadic data. The dyadic growth model(DGM) was used to model the trajectories of marital satisfaction and depressive symptoms. In order to analyze the association of these growth factors, we proposed the dyadic growth actor-partner interdependence model(DG-APIM) and applied the model to the data. The results showed that on average the husbands' marital satisfaction was higher but decreased faster over the course of the study than the wives'. It also showed that the average depression of the husbands was lower than that of the wives but the husbands' depression increased faster than the wives' over the course of the study. The variance of the averages of husbands' (wives's) depression was accounted for by that of wives'(husbands') marital satisfaction, showing a partner effect. The variance of the slopes of husbands'(wives') depression was accounted for by that of marital satisfaction of themselves, showing an actor effect. The results showed that there is a longitudinal interdependence between husbands and wives' marital satisfaction and depression and supported the marital discord model of depression.

  • 인간의 생태계를 근본적으로 위협하고 있는 기후변화와 같은 환경오염 문제는 글로벌 경쟁시대의 기업 경영에 있어 강력한 제재요인 중 하나로 관심이 집중되고 있다. 국내에서도 이러한 환경문제가 중요 이슈로 부각되고 있는데, 특히 인류생존에 필수적인 자연환경을 기반으로 사업을 영위하는 농업분야는 더욱 깊은 연관성을 갖는다. 정부는 이러한 농업분야에 대하여 도시와 농촌 간 소득 불균형이나 농촌인구 노령화 등의 문제를 해결하고 미래 성장산업으로 발전시키고자 6차산업화 인증 제도를 시행 중에 있으며 앞으로의 성장이 기대된다. 또한 최근 기업의 환경을 포함하는 사회적 책임활동에 대한 관심이 높아지고 능동적으로 참여하려는 소비자의 특성 변화에 따라 6차산업화 인증을 받은 기업들도 성장하기 위해서는 기업 활동의 근간이 되는 소비자 니즈에 더욱 집중할 필요성이 제기되므로 기업의 새로운 성장 방안으로써 고객과 환경에 집중하고 사회적 가치를 창출해 나가야 할 것으로 추측된다. 이에 본 연구에서는 6차산업화 인증을 받은 기업을 대상으로 고객지향성과 경영성과 간 관계에서 환경지향성이 조절효과를 가지는 지를 밝히고자 하였으며, 연구 결과 고객지향성은 경영성과에 정(+)의 영향을 미치며, 이러한 관계 속에서 환경지향성은 정(+)의 조절효과를 가진다는 것을 실증하였다. 즉, 6차산업화 인증기업이 경영성과를 제고시키기 위해서는 소비자의 변화와 기업이 수행해야 할 사회적 책임을 명확히 인식하여, 소비자 니즈기반의 환경보존과 같은 사회적 가치를 창출하고 공유하려는 친환경 지향적인 새로운 혁신전략을 수립하고 실행해 나가야 할 것이며 이를 통해 지속적인 성장을 견인할 수 있을 것이다.

Silicidation of Co/M/(100) Si bilayer Structures (Co/내열금속/(100) Si 이중층 구조의 실리사이드화)

  • The silicide formation mechanisms of Co/Hf and Co/Nb bilayer on (100) Si have been investigated. We ob-served that crystallographic orientationso f the 500$^{\circ}C$ formed cobalt silcides were different each other with the varying intermediate layers. Epitaxial and non-epitaxial CoSi2 formed simultaneously in Co/Hf/(100Si. While only non-epitaxial CoSi2 formed in Co/Nb/(100) Si. The reason why the crystallographic orientation of CpSi2 is different for those two systems seemed to be relate to the formation and decomposition of stable reaction barriers at high temperature. The stable reaction barrier formed at high temperature could control the uniform diffusion of Co atoms which enables epitaxial growth of CoSi2.

  • We study nonlinearities of $CO_2$ emissions and economic growth m Korea using the Smooth Transition Autoregressive (or STAR) model. We find evidence for nonlinearities and cyclical regime changes of both time series. In the extended nonlinear empirical work, we characterize dynamic properties of the two time series and then find mutually significant Granger causality between $CO_2$ emissions and economic growth. All these empirical evidences together reinforce long standing concern that economy-wide restrictions on $CO_2$ emissions would hurt economic growth for Korean styled medium industrialized countries.

  • The purpose of this study is to research service industry employees performance in Seoul's deluxe hotels can improve based on aspects of growth needs in professional development, job esteem, and customer orientation. How growth needs and job-esteem affect employees' customer orientation is important to try and discover the mediating effect that the employees' psychological ownership contributes to the relationship between growth needs, job-esteem, and customer orientation. According to the results, growth needs and job-esteem effect to customer orientation and an employees' psychological ownership has a mediating effect between growth needs, job-esteem and customer orientation. Based on these findings, critical theoretical and practical implications, as well as future research suggestions, have been provided for hotel managers to aid in employee management.

  • WC-6%Co 소결체를 열처리할 때 발생하는, 시편 표면에서의 급격한 입자 성장 거동을 열처리 분위기를 변수로 하여 관찰하였다. 열처리 분위기로 수소와 메탄을 각각 사용하였고, 온도는 1400~145$0^{\circ}C$, 압력은 1~3 Torr, 그리고 시간은 100분까지 변화시켰다. 표면에서의 입자 성장은 수소 분위기보다 메탄 분위기를 사용하는 경우 훨씬 빠르게 일어났다. 그리고 열처리 온도가 증가할수록, 압력이 감소할수록 입자 성장 속도가 증가하였다. 이때 성장한 입자의 크기 분포는 비정규 분포를 보였다. 한편, 입자 성장은 열처리시 증발하는 시편의 Co 무게 감소와 밀접한 관계를 보였다. 이러한 표면에서의 입자 성장 현상을 열처리한 조건과 관련되어 WC-Co 상태도에서 예측할 수 있는, 탈탄-탄화 반응 및 비정상 입자 성장 현상 관점으로 설명하였다.

  • 영상 분할은 임상에서의 진단과 분석 및 3차원 가시화하는데 있어 선행되어야 할 필수적인 과정이다. 본 논문에서는 심혈관계 영상의 분할을 위한 Wave-front SRG방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 2차원 슬라이스 영상에서 사용자에 의한 씨앗점(seed front)을 입력으로 받아 그 이웃한 슬라이스들에 wave-front를 만들어 영역 성장법에 의해 3차원 volume을 확장시킨다. 이때 다음으로 성장할 wave-front voxel의 mean gradient 값을 사용하여 밝기값의 변화가 심한 심혈관계 영상을 분할하였으며, Wave-front voxel의 size를 계산하여 혈관분할 시 발생할 수 있는 작은 채널에서의 새나감을 방지하였다. 제안된 방법을 컴퓨터 단층촬영으로 얻은 심혈 관계 영상의 분할에 적용한 결과, 밝기값의 변화가 심한 심혈관계 영상을 성공적으로 분할했으며, 작의 채널의 새나감이 없이 분할을 수행하였다.
