  • A study on the recovery of tin from the steel ball scraps for barrel plating has been carried out the physical treatment and leaching experiment. The recovery of iron component was over 95% by the physical treatment, and the recovery of tin component was also over 95% by the hydro process.

$Ar/O_2$가스비에 따른 (Ba,Sr)$TiO_3$ 박막의 유전특성에 관한 연구

  • 본 논문에서는 RF Magnetron Sputtering 방법으로 Ba0.5Sr0.5TiO3 박막을 Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si 기판위에 증착하였다. Ar과 O2의 가스비는 90:10부터 50:50까지 O2의 함유비율을 10씩 증가시켰으며, 모든 조건에서 증착온도는 실온으로 설정하였다. Ba0.5Sr0.5TiO3 박막의 증착후 각 가스비에 따른 동일한 샘플에 대해 RTA(Rapid Thermal Anneal) 장비를 이용하여 $600^{\circ}C$에서 열처리는 하여 열처리 효과에 대한 특성도 조사하였다. 최종적으로 제작한 BST 커패시터는 Pt/BST/Pt 구조를 갖는 MIM(Metal-Insulator-Metal) 구조의 커패시터였으며 상.하부 전극은 전기적 특성이 우수한 Pt를 사용하였다. 제작된 BST 커패시터를 대해 유전 특성을 조사하기 위해 C-V 측정을 한 결과 산소 함유량이 증가함에 따라 유전율의 증가를 보여주었으며, 제작된 샘플 중 산소 함유량이 30인 샘플은 300이상의 우수한 유전율을 나타내었다. 또한 누설 전류특성에서는 모든 샘플에 대해 1.0V의 인가전압에서 1.0$\times$106A/cm2 이하의 누설 전류 밀도 값을 가져 전기적으로도 안정된 커패시터 구조임을 확인하였다. 또한 막의 증착상태와 미세구조관찰을 위해 SEM 측정을 하였고 구성성분 결정 구조를 알기 위해 XRD 측정도 시행하였다. 결과적으로 본 논문에서 제작된 커패시터 중 Sr/O의 비율이 70:30인 샘플이 가장 우수한 유전특성을 나타내었고, 이 샘플의 유전특성과 누설 전류 특성은 차세대 메모리인 1GigaByte급 DRAM에 적용 가능한 조건들을 만족시켰다.

Effects of Dietary Feed Additives on Meat Quality in Broiler Production (육계사료 내 사료첨가제가 계육의 육질에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted for improvement of meat quality in broiler chcikens. Birds were fed basal diet(control), ferritin, illite, betafin, or wood vinegar counting broiler feed according as broiler growth stage. Birds fed with basal diet, which was distributed under the best environmental condition, were more weight gain than other groups reared under same environmental condition. In the mean weight gain, the ferritin-group showed the highest and the illite-group showed the lowest among the feed additive groups; therefore, the effect of feed requirement change in odor reduction in illite and methyl saving of betafin was lower than those of other feed additives along to pass rear time. Meat quality was appraised by National Livestock Research Institute of RDA. Except the control-group, that had the best feed conversion ratio, the cooking loss of the illite-group was the biggest among groups although the illite-group chickens had a good water hold capacity. Therefore, illite is not good for making merchandise by reason that group chickens get reduction carcass weight after slaughter. On the other hand, the ferritin-group got the highest point of shear stress, cooking loss, and crude fat level. That group showed the best appraise in both breast and leg of sensory test in company and also feed conversion ratio was the highest among feed additive groups. As a result, the ferritin-group might use for making new merchandise among the feed additive groups.

Evaluation of Sampling and Analytical Methods for the Determination of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons in the Ambient Atmosphere (환경대기중 다환방향족탄화수소의 포집과 분석방법에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, sampling and analytical procedures were evaluated for the determination of ambient levels of atmospheric PAH, both in gaseous and particulate phase. The method involves low-volume sampling and Soxhlet extraction of the filters and Tenax absorbent, followed by a clean-up stage using a silica column prior to analysis by reversed-phase HPLC with wavelength programmable fluorescence and UV detection. A total of 18 PAH were identified and quantified, all of which have been of environmental concern. In order to validate the methodology and to ensure compatibility of the results, the analytical method used for the determination of PAH was evaluated with respect to the efficiencies of extraction and clean-up procedure, HPLC separation, and lower limits of detection. In addition, substrate dependency of PAH recovery was investigated for the two types of fiters, i.e. glass fiber and PTFE filters.

Studies on the Relationship Between Chemical Contents of Rice Plants and Resistance to Rice Blast Disease (수도체의 함유성분과 도열병 저항성에 관한 연구)

  • For the investigations on the mechanism of blast disease resistance in the rice variety 'Toilg-il', Ihe chemical contents such as silicate, nitrogen and flavonoid in the leaf blades of tile variety were determined as compared to moderately susceptible variety 'Pung-kwang' A correlation between disease severity of rice blast and the chemical contents in the variety 'Pung-kwang' were also studied. The results showed that silicate and flavonoid contents were decreased inversely with application of nitrogen fertilizer, and negative correlation between silicate and flavonoid contents and disease severity in the field were observed. In the resistant variety 'Tong-il', these chemical contents and silicified cells were significantly higher than in the variety 'Pung-kwang' From these results, it seemed that the high contents of silicate and flavonoid in the leaf blades were related closely to the resistance of the variety 'Tong-il'.

  • Leaching of black dross with HCl solution was conducted to find a suitable process to recover valauble materials. In this work, the leaching behavior of the components was compared between black dross and the residues after water treatment. All the components except $TiO_2$ in the black dross were dissolved by HCl solution in the experimental ranges. Treatment of the black dross with water to recover the salts has negative effect on the leaching of $Al_2O_3$, MgO and $SiO_2$. The reactions occuring during the leaching were discussed. At an optimum leaching condition of 3 M HCl and $90^{\circ}C$, the leaching percentage of $Al_2O_3$, MgO and $SiO_2$ was 85, 100 and 40%, respectively.

  • In this study, the effect of humidity change on DNPH cartridge sampling efficiency for carbonyl compounds (CCs) has been investigated. For this analysis, gaseous standard of 6 different CCs (formaldehyde (FA), acetaldehyde (AA), propionaldehyde (PA), butyraldehyde (BA), isovaleraldehyde (IA), and valeraldehyde (VA)) was calibrated after derivatization with three types of DNPH cartridge products. Their calibration results derived at RH values between 0 and 80% were then compared against liquid phase standards. If the results of our analysis are compared by the RH values between 20 and 80%, the effect of RH can be distinguished between light and heavy CCs. For lighter CCs (like FA and AA), there was no significant change. However, for the ones heavier than PA, there was fairly noticeable increase in relative recovery ratio in RH value between 20 and 80%. Such patterns are seen consistently from all three DNPH products tested for comparison. The results of our analysis suggest that proper correction for RH change may be needed for heavier CCs by the cartridge method.

  • 폐자동차의 최종처분 과정에서 발생하는 자동차 파쇄 폐기물(Automobile Shredder Dust)은 대부분이 고분자 화합물로 높은 발열량을 가지고 있다. 또한 할로겐족 원소가 포함된 난연성 고분자류가 많아 다이옥신의 생성 우려가 높은 고분자류와 다이옥신 생성의 촉매 역할을 할 수 있는 금속성분이 많이 함유되어 있어 가스화용융시스템에 적용하여 처리하기에 매우 적합한 폐기물이다. 본 연구에서는 ASR의 가스화 용융 시설에서 고농도 CO를 함유한 합성가스를 수성가스전환반응(Water Gas Shift reaction, WGS)을 이용하여 수소의 수율을 높이는 기술을 제시하였다. 가스화 용융 설비에서 배출되는 합성가스 조성을 기준으로 적합한 고정층 WGS 반응기를 설계하고, 고온 촉매(KATALCO 71-5M)와 저온 촉매(KATALCO 83-3X)를 사용하여 실험하였다. 수성가스 반응 후의 가스 조성은 온도가 상승할수록 일산화탄소가 줄어들고 이에 따라 수소와 이산화탄소 발생량이 증가 되어 고온 촉매를 사용했을 경우 일산화탄소 전환율 ($1-CO_{out}/CO_{in}$)은 55.6에서 95.8%까지 상승하였다. 동일한 온도조건에서는 촉매에 관계없이 $CO/H_2$가 감소할수록 전환율도 감소하는 경향을 보였지만 동일한 합성가스 조성에서 일산화탄소 전환율을 비교하면 저온 촉매가 고온 촉매보다 매우 우수함을 알 수 있었다.

The Deposition of Tear Protein according to Soft Lens Materials and The Cleaning Efficacy of Multi-purpose Solution according to the Surfactant Types (소프트렌즈 재질 별 누액단백질 침착 및 계면활성제 종류에 따른 다목적용액의 세척효율)

  • Purpose: The present study was aimed to investigate the cleaning efficacy of multi-purpose solutions containing different types and content of surfactants and their effect on the visible light transmittance of soft lens. Methods: Soft lenses made of different materials (etafilcon A and hilafilcon B) were deposited tear proteins by using the artificial tear and then compared the resulting cleaning efficacy and visible light transmittance after cleaning the lens with 6 types of multi-purpose solutions containing different content of surfactants. Results: The cleaning efficacy of multi-purpose solutions was variously shown as approximately 23~43% according to the active concentration of surfactants and surface tension in multi-purpose solution when etafilcon A lens cleaned with rubbing. The highest cleaning efficacy was detected when cleaned with the multi-purpose solution containing hydrogen peroxide besides surfactant however, the amount of remaining protein was still high on the lens. After washed with multi-purpose solution, the visible light transmittance of lens was in 89.8 to 90.8%. The amount of protein deposited on hilafilcon B lens was very small compared with it on etafilcon A lens even though it was incubated in artificial tears for 7 days, which showed 5~10% of protein amount in etafilcon A lens and the decrease of visible light transmittance was also not significant. In case of rubbing with multi-purpose solution, the cleaning efficacy on hilafilcon B lens was in 45.4 to 67.4% however, the order of cleaning efficacy of multi-purpose solution was different from it on etafilcon A lens. The visible light transmittance of hilafilcon B lens has been restored to the level of new lens. Conclusions: From the result, it is concluded that the appropriate multi-purpose solution should be selected according to the lens material and the amount of protein deposit on the basis of understanding surfactants and active principle for proper care of protein deposit on soft lens and the cleaning with rubbing is more efficient for lens care regardless of manufacturer's guideline.

  • Recovery of acids from the waste etching solution of containing nitric, hydrofluoric and acetic acid discharged from silicon wafer manufacturing process has been attempted by using solvent extraction method. With EHA (2-Ethylhexlalcohol) for acetic acid and TBP(Tri-butly Phosphate) for nitic and hydrofluoric acid as extraction agent was carried on experiment to obtain the process design data in separation procedure. From the McCabe-Thiele diagram analysis, we obtained the optimum conditions of phase ratio(O/A) and stages to separate the each acid sequently from the mixture acids. The recovery yield was obtained 90% above for acetic acid from the acid mixtures, 90% above for nitric acid from acetic acid extraction raffinate and then 67% above for hydrofluoric acid from final extraction raffinate.
