Evaluation of Seismic Capacity and Estimation of Earthquake Damage for Existing Unreinforced Masonry Building in Korea (국내 조적조 건물의 내진성능평가 및 지진피해율 상정)

  • In Seoul, more than 80 percent of residential buildings are constructed with unreinforced masonry(URM) buildings in early 1970 to 1990. In general, URM buildings have the advantages of reducing the construction time and easy to construction. However, URM buildings do not have enough strength against the lateral force. Moreover, low rise buildings have not adopted seismic designs, and for that reason a critical damage is expected with an earthquake. And also, the necessity of the seismic performance evaluation of existing building structures is raised through the Taiwan earthquake in 1999. The purpose of this study is to provide basic information for unreinforced masonry building in Korea by application of the proposed seismic evaluation method. In this study, seismic capacities of 50 existing unreinforced masonry buildings are evaluated based on the proposed method. Also, relationships of seismic capacities between Korean earthquake damage ratios of korean unreinforced masonry buildings are estimated. Results of this study were as follows; 1)Seismic retrofit was needed $8{\sim}48%$ in Korean unreinforced masonry buildings. 2)Korean unreinforced masonry buildings were expected to have severe damage under the earthquake intensity level experienced in Japan.

  • Consolidating servers into a virtualized system increases entire system utilization, while suffers from performance degradation due to the additional virtualization layer. In this paper, we proposed a performance evaluation methodology for comparing virtualized systems with native non-virtualized systems. We defined a system waste rate per consolidated throughput as a metric, and described the method for calculating system waste rate and consolidated throughput for both of virtualized systems and non-virtualized systems. Using the proposing performance evaluation methodology, we established testbeds, evaluated their performance, and compared the metrics of both systems. As a result of the evaluation, we could show the appropriateness of our methodology and analyze the effect of the application characteristics.

  • Recently, detecting damages of civil infrastructures from digital images using deep learning technology became a very popular research topic. In order to adapt those methodologies to the field, it is essential to explain robustness of deep learning models. Our research points out that the existing pixel-based deep learning model evaluation metrics are not sufficient for detecting cracks since cracks have linear appearance, and proposes a new evaluation methodology to explain crack segmentation deep learning model more rationally. Specifically, we design, implement and validate a methodology to generate tolerance buffer alongside skeletonized ground truth data and prediction results to consider overall similarity of topology of the ground truth and the prediction rather than pixel-wise accuracy. We could overcome over-estimation or under-estimation problem of crack segmentation model evaluation through using our methodology, and we expect that our methodology can explain crack segmentation deep learning models better.

  • AAAv6-based Diameter method is using in the user authentication to satisfy the users' increasing user authentication demand and to supply a safe communication between mobile node and server in the Mobile IP. therefore, In this paper, We design a model of server capacity based on EAP-TLS that in one of AAAv6 models with mobility among domains to get the optimized capacity index of the server for user authentication accomplishment. We elicitat the authentication capacity index for each server of which is accomplishing in user authentication using DSA/RSA algorithm and purpose the optimized condition for the AAAv6 capacity by the index.

  • 기후변화로 인한 강수량의 지역별, 계절별 불균형은 홍수로 인한 하천 범람피해뿐만 아니라 하천의 건천화로 인한 수생태, 수질, 경관 저해 등의 피해를 야기하고 있다. 이와 같은 기후변화로 인한 수자원의 영향을 평가하기 위해 기상 현상을 재현하고 예측하기 위한 기후모형과 이와 연계하여 지표의 수문 순환과 에너지 순환과정을 모의할 수 있는 지표수문모형의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 그러나, 하천유출에 대한 모니터링시스템 체계를 구축하기 위해 지표수문모형을 사용하여 하천의 장기유출을 모의하는 시도는 국내에서는 아직 일반화되지 않고 있다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 횡방향 유출흐름 모의가 가능하도록 개선된 격자형 지표수문모형인 Common Land Model(CoLM)의 우리나라 하천유역에 대한 장기하천유출 모의 적용성을 확인하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 4대강(한강, 낙동강, 금강, 섬진강)의 자연유역을 대상으로 주요 댐 상류유역에 대하여 CoLM이 필요로 하는 지표경계조건자료와 기상입력자료를 구축하고 모형의 주요 매개변수에 대한 검보정을 수행하여 각 지점별 최적의 장기하천유출 모의결과를 도출하고자 한다. CoLM의 지표경계조건자료 구축을 위해서는 고해상도의 인공위성자료 및 지점측정자료를 수집하고, 기상입력자료 구축을 위해서는 기상청에서 제공하는 기상자료를 수집하여, 모형의 계산시간 및 지역예보모델에 많이 사용되고 있는 공간해상도를 고려한 모형의 입력자료는 30km 계산 격자망 자료로 구축될 예정이다. CoLM의 모의성능 평가 및 결과분석을 위해 총 30년(1990-2019) 기간에 대한 모의결과 중, 초기 10년은 초기조건 수립을 위한 안정화 기간으로 제외하고, 다음 10년(2000~2009)은 보정기간으로 설정하고 마지막 10년(2010~2019)은 검정기간으로 설정하여 지표수문모형의 장기하천유출모의 적용성이 평가될 예정이다. 본 논문의 결과는 향후 우리나라 주요 유역에 대해 이상기후로 인한 하천 수자원 및 수생태의 영향을 분석하고, 하천의 건천화 대책 수립 등에 대한 기초정보를 제공할 수 있을 것이라 기대한다.

  • Performance evaluation of a plant to efficiently manage and maintain the performance of the plant is a very important procedure. However, since the conventional performance evaluation method is an Excel-based manual method, the preparation procedure is complicated and the versatility is poor. In this paper, we analyze the problems of the existing performance evaluation system, effectively model the equipment, calculate the missing physical properties, and improve the versatility, efficiency and accuracy of the performance evaluation through the equipment modeler which performs automatic index calculation based on this.

  • 본 연구는 우리나라 유리건축에서 적용되고 있는 유리투과체를 조사하여 투과율이 다른 4종류 즉, 투명유리, 색유리, 파스텔유리, 로이유리를 선정하여 복층유리로 제작하였다. 투과체에 따른 실내공간의 채광성능평가를 위하여 축소모형을 1/10으로 제작하였으며, 투과체의 구성을 일반형과 이중분할형으로 구성하여 기준실과 실험실에 설치하였다. 또한, 채광성능평가시 IEA모니터링 프로토콜을 적용하여 작업면, 벽면, 천정면에 대하여 조도를 외부조도와 동시에 측정하였고, 본 논문에서는 작업면에 대한 채광성능평가를 중심으로 분석하였다. 평가지표로서 주광조도비를 사용하였으며, 일반형과 이중분할형에 대한 가변 유리투과체를 변화시켰을 경우 투과율에 따른 실내공간의 채광성능을 평가하였다. 가변 유리투과체로 구성된 실내공간의 채광성능평가는 다음과 같이 분석되었다. 첫째, 실내공간에 일반형을 적용하여 서로 다른 투광성능을 가진 유리투과체가 적용된 경우 외부조도에 대한 내부조도 비율은 투과율이 증가할수록 일정하게 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 투과체가 갖는 투과성능의 영향으로 판단된다. 둘째, 일반형에 비해 이중분할형은 채광창으로 유입되는 채광학적 기여가 증가하여 실 전체의 조도를 증가시키며 특히, 실 중간부와 후면부의 경우 채광적 잠재력이 증대되어 실의 쾌적함과 시 환경적 질이 증대될 것으로 사료된다. 현재 유리건축물에 많이 적용되고 있는 저 투과체에 이중분할형을 적용할 경우 채광학적으로 많은 효과가 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • Future prospects for the North Korean construction market created by reunification of the Korean Peninsula has consistently been recognized as highly promising. Although rehabilitation projects of the deteriorating construction facilities in North Korea are expected to serve as new source of growth engine to South Korea in future, the status quo of each infrastructure in the North are described verbosely with signs of subjective translation. There has been limited approach on depicting the condition and performance of the North Korean facilities based on quantitative and systematic approach. Thus, this study has been conducted under a twofold purpose. First, this study proposes a performance indicator for identifying the status quo of the major construction facilities in North Korea based on a quantitative approach. Second, this study applies the developed indicator to visualize the results on the conditions of each facility in the form of a report card. This expected to serve as a basis on determining the appropriate level of the construction infrastructure in North Korea and estimating the range of rehabilitation projects along with the investment cost.

  • 본 논문은 최근 잡음 제거에서 우수한 성능을 보인 Nested U-Net의 성능을 최적화하기 위하여 두 단계로 이루어진 two-level skip connection (TLS)을 제안하였다. 이때, 인코더와 디코더의 경로를 다르게 하여 다양한 형태의 TLS을 제안하고 각 형태의 성능을 비교 평가하였다. 또한, 가장 좋은 성능을 보인 두 개의 경로를 조합하여 최종 Nested U-Net 기반 모델을 제안하였다. 제안된 모델은 다른 잡음 제거 모델과 비교하여 객관적인 평가 지표에서 매우 우수한 성능을 보인다.

Development of the Technology Valuation Analysis Indicators Using the Delphi Method in the Offset Program (델파이 기법을 활용한 절충교역 기술가치평가 분석지표 개발)

  • Many countries implement an offset program as a method of the acquisition of modern military technology for enhancement of the domestic military strength. Offset agreements are made based on the value, not a monetary unit. The value should be above minimum threshold fixed by the related regulation. Hence, technology valuation model which is objective and reasonable is required vitally. At present, some defense related organizations such as DTaQ, ADD valuate the proposed technology by using their own method. However, due to the lack of differentiation of valuation analysis indicators for various technologies, existing offset valuation models are inadequate to consider whole characteristics of such technologies. In this paper, we developed four sets of offset valuation analysis indicators considering the characteristics of each technology, parts production, depot maintenance, military equipment performance upgrade, and R&D related technology, by using the Delphi method. Also, we structurized those indicators in each technology by using the factor analysis. Through applying developed indicators, it is expected that technology valuation in the offset program would be more credible and accurate. Ultimately, it gives greater bargaining power to negotiators in the procedure of the offset negotiation.
