Implementation on SVM based Step Detection Analyzer (SVM 기반의 걸음 검출 분석기의 구현)

  • In this study, we designed and implemented a step detection analyzer that can compare and analyze the step detection rates and results among the step detection algorithms. The step detection analyzer converts 3-axes accelerometer data into continuous energy stream through SVM operation, shows the horizontal comparison among the step detection results for each step detection algorithms, and can make elemental detection analyses. For these processes, the step detection analyzer presents the continuous energy stream as energy waveform, checks the peak values and time location of the detected steps with step detection algorithms, and gives visual interface to get some possible causes in cases of step detection miss. It can also give the threshold graph for each algorithm to check the threshold value on missed cases directly and can help to get more appropriate threshold values or other adjustable parameters in step detection algorithm. This step detection analyzer can be applied efficiently on performance enhancement of step detection algorithm, on deciding an appropriate algorithm for a specific step counter system in the various step counter filed operations.

Design and Implementation of Multiple Filter Distributed Deduplication System Applying Cuckoo Filter Similarity (쿠쿠 필터 유사도를 적용한 다중 필터 분산 중복 제거 시스템 설계 및 구현)

  • The need for storage, management, and retrieval techniques for alternative data has emerged as technologies based on data generated from business activities conducted by enterprises have emerged as the key to business success in recent years. Existing big data platform systems must load a large amount of data generated in real time without delay to process unstructured data, which is an alternative data, and efficiently manage storage space by utilizing a deduplication system of different storages when redundant data occurs. In this paper, we propose a multi-layer distributed data deduplication process system using the similarity of the Cuckoo hashing filter technique considering the characteristics of big data. Similarity between virtual machines is applied as Cuckoo hash, individual storage nodes can improve performance with deduplication efficiency, and multi-layer Cuckoo filter is applied to reduce processing time. Experimental results show that the proposed method shortens the processing time by 8.9% and increases the deduplication rate by 10.3%.

A Comparative Study on Productivity Analysis of Automated Pavement Crack Sealing Machines (도로면 크랙실링 자동화 장비의 작업 생산성 분석에 관한 비교 연구)

  • Pavement crack sealing method, which is one of the methods to maintain and repair the road, prevents the extending of cracks by repairing cracks in its early occurrence and has already been applied to many roadworks in advanced foreign country for a long time. But in the conventional crack sealing method, traffic accidents occur frequently during the repair because it's commonly performed on the heavy traffic road or highway. It also has some difficulties in securing the safety of workers from the risk of burns caused by heated sealant. In an effort to solve these problems, automated pavement crack sealing machines such as ARMM, OCCSM, TTLS have been developed in advanced foreign country since early 1990s. Also APCS in 2004 and ACSTM in 2013 were already developed domestically. However, since these automated crack sealers developed from a number of research institutions have different test-bed conditions and productivity measurement models, it's difficult to compare and evaluate them objectively. In this study, the image processing time of the respective machines and the movement time of each motion on the work process were estimated by using fully autonomous mapping and semi-automatic mapping in order to measure the productivity in the same environmental conditions. In addition, the productivity measurement test-bed reflected domestic road characteristics was designed to estimate and compare the productivity of the automated crack sealing machines.

Analysis of Factors Influencing upon the Metro Wear Using the Classification and Regression Trees (CART 분석을 이용한 지하철 마모 영향인자 분석)

  • 일반적으로 레일마모는 열차의 주행안전 및 승차감에 미치는 영향이 크고, 소음 진동의 주요원인으로 작용한다. 또한 레일마모가 발생할 경우 궤도구조의 파괴를 촉진시킴으로써 차량 및 궤도유지보수비를 크게 증가시킨다. 따라서 구간 특성 및 환경 영향 인자 등 현장에서 발생하는 마모 원인을 체계적으로 분석함으로써 마모를 저감할 수 있도록 차량운행 조건과 선로선형 및 궤도구조를 설계하는 것은 중요한 과제이다. CART(Classification And Regression Tree; 분류와 회귀나무) 분석은 패키지화된 좋은 분류 및 예측도구 기법으로 나무의 상위 분리수준에서 일반적으로 나타나는 가장 중요한 입력변수들을 사용하는 등의 입력변수를 선정하는 경우 매우 유용하다. 본 연구에서는 다변수 구간특성 및 환경인자를 고려한 검측 자료 상관관계 분석을 위한 회귀 나무기반 모델(TBM: Tree Based Model) 분석 수행을 위해 지하철 2호선 마모 데이터와 마모 데이터에 영향을 미치는 각종 다변수 구간특성 및 환경인자를 사용하였다. 2호선 지하철의 구간특성 인자 및 환경인자는 레일의 종류, 레일의 위치, 도상, 곡률반경, 캔트 슬랙 및 운행 일수 등으로 구분하였다. 레일의 종류는 ks-50kg과 ks-60kg 두 종류의 레일이 있으며, 레일의 위치는 지상과 지하로 크게 구분할 수 있다. 도상은 콘크리트 도상, 자갈 도상과 일부 구간의 방진상 콘크리트 도상으로 구분할 수 있으며, 곡률반경은 직선구간과 완화곡선 구간 및 최소 250m부터 627m까지 분포된 원 곡선 구간으로 구분할 수 있다. 캔트 간격은 최소 96cm 부터 120cm 간격으로 구분하며, 슬랙은 5~9cm에 분포하고, 운행 기간은 해당 기간 동안 유지보수 이력이 없는 구간을 선정하여 2005년부터 2006년까지 4번에 걸쳐 검측된 지하철 2호선 내선 마모데이터를 사용하였다. 총 X1부터 X7까지 총 7개의 구간특성 또는 환경특성을 영향인자로 선정하였으며, 이러한 영향인자에 의해 결정되는 종속 인자로 Y1인 직마모와 Y2인 측마모를 선정하여 이 중 실질적으로 지하철 궤도의 성능 평가에 주요 판단인자로 사용되는 측마모와 구간특성 및 환경영향인자와의 상관관계 분석을 수행하였다. 해당 마모 데이터가 검측되는 기간 동안 유지보수 이력이 없는 12272 point의 데이터를 검출하였고 CART 프로그램을 이용하여 데이터를 분석하였으며, CART 프로그램의 해석을 위해 종속변수인 직마모량은 각 검측 지점의 마모량에 해당하는 등급으로 변환하여 분석을 수행하였다. 레일의 마모에 영향을 미치는 구간특성 및 환경인자와 종속 변수로 사용된 레일의 마모량 사이의 CART를 이용한 상관관계 분석은 실제 구조물에서 영향인자간의 상관 관계와 유사하며, 추후 연구에서는 이를 바탕으로 하여 정량화된 검측 데이터를 종속변수로 하여 구간특성 또는 환경인자 등 외부 영향인자를 고려한 궤도 검측데이터와의 상관관계 분석을 수행할 계획이다.

  • The cost of construction engineering field is less than $3{\sim}5%$ of the gross construction cost, it, however, is very important because the performance of final facility depends on the technical ability of construction engineering company. However, as the results of the technical level of domestic construction engineering survey from experts, it was less than 70% of developed country. For this reason, domestic construction engineering companies are confronted with serious problems to go into overseas market. Accordingly, this research analyzed the construction engineering market trend of domestic and overseas in order to suggest the strategies to go into the Vietnam. Moreover, this research identified problems and strategies of making inroads into the world market through the survey from the domestic construction company related to overseas construction, advanced a theory through extensive literature review, and collected extensive opinions through an interview with domestic and foreign experts and business trip. The purpose of this research is to provide market analysis and strategic plan for advancing into overseas market in order to make the domestic construction engineering companies to go into the Vietnam market. Especially, as a plan for the revitalization of advancing overseas market of domestic construction engineering companies, this research proposed Constructing Local Infrastructure, Business Creation of Planning Proposals and Enlarged Plans of ODA(Official Development Assistant).

Human-Powered Generator designed for Sustainable Driving (고출력 지속이 가능한 인체 구동 방식의 자가 발전기 개발)

  • Human-powered self-generating devices have been attractive with its operation characteristic independent from outer environment such as weather condition and wind speed. However, conventional self-generators have low electric power output due to their weakly-coupled electromagnetic structure. More importantly, rotary crank motion which is usually adopted by conventional self-generator to generate electricity requires specific skeletal muscles to maintain large torque circular motion and consequently, causes fatigue on those muscles before it can generate enough amount of electricity for any practical application. Without improvement in electric power output and usability, the human-powered self-generator could not be used in everyday life. This study aims to develop a human-powered self-generator which realized a strong electromagnetic coupling in a closed-loop tubular structure (hula-hoop shape) for easy and steady long-term driving as well as larger electric output. The performance and usability of the developed human-powered generator is verified through experimental comparison with a commercial one. Additionally, human workload which is a key element of a human-powered generator but not often considered elsewhere, is estimated based on metabolic energy expenditure measured respiratory gas analyzer. Further study will focus on output and portability enhancement, which can contribute to the continuous power supply of mobile equipments.

  • As the demand for ubiquitous mobile wireless Internet grows, vehicles are receiving a lot of attention as new networking platforms. The demand for 4G all-IP networks encourages vehicle networks to be connected using IPv6. By means of network mobility (NEMO) support, we can connect sensors, controllers, local ,servers as well as passengers' devices of a vehicle to the Internet through a mobile router. The mobile router provides the connectivity to the Internet and mobility transparency for the rest of the mobile nodes of an in-vehicle nv6 network. So, it is .important for the mobile router to assure reliable connection and a sufficient data rate for the group of nodes behind it. To provide reliability, this paper proposes an adaptive multihoming architecture of multiple mobile routers. Proposed architecture makes use of different mobility characteristics of different vehicles. Simulation results with different configurations show that the proposed architecture increases session preservation thus increases reliability and reduces packet loss. We also show that the proposed architecture is adaptive to heterogeneous access environment which provide different access coverage areas and data rates. The result shows that our architecture achieves sufficient data rates as well as session preservation.

  • The paper actualizes the twin camera module system that is portable and very useful for the production of 3D contents. The suggested twin camera module system is a system to be able to display the 3D image after converting the inputted image from 2D stereo camera. To evaluate the performance of the twin camera module suggested in this paper, I assessed the correction of Rotation and Tilt created depending on the visual difference between the left and right stereoscopic image shot by the left and right lenses by using the Test Platform. In addition, I verified the efficiency of the twin camera module system through verifying Depth Error of 3D stereoscopic image by means of Scale Invariant Feature Transform(SIFT) algorithm. I think that if the user utilizes the suggested twin camera module system in displaying the image to the external after converting the shot image into the 3D stereoscopic image and the preparation image, it is possible to display the image in a matched way with an output device fit respectively for different 3D image production methods and if the user utilizes the system in displaying the created image in the form of the 3D stereoscopic image and the preparation image via different channels, it is possible to produce 3D image contents easily and conveniently with applying to lots of products.

Real-time Implementation of the AMR Speech Coder Using $OakDSPCore^{\circledR}$ ($OakDSPCore^{\circledR}$를 이용한 적응형 다중 비트 (AMR) 음성 부호화기의 실시간 구현)

  • An adaptive multi-rate (AMR) speech coder was adopted as a standard of W-CDMA by 3GPP and ETSI. The AMR coder is based on the CELP algorithm operating at rates ranging from 12.2 kbps down to 4.75 kbps, and it is a source controlled codec according to the channel error conditions and the traffic loading. In this paper, we implement the DSP S/W of the AMR coder using OakDSPCore. The implementation is based on the CSD17C00A chip developed by C&S Technology, and it is tested using test vectors, for the AMR speech codec, provided by ETSI for the bit exact implementation. The DSP B/W requires 20.6 MIPS for the encoder and 2.7 MIPS for the decoder. Memories required by the Am coder were 21.97 kwords, 6.64 kwords and 15.1 kwords for code, data sections and data ROM, respectively. Also, actual sound input/output test using microphone and speaker demonstrates its proper real-time operation without distortions or delays.

  • The non-rail mobile rack, which is used for cargo storage, can improve the storage capacities of logistics centers. Furthermore, it has the advantage that it can be used in traditional logistics centers without making any changes or renovation, such as installing rails. However, when the rack is operated by separated drive actuators mounted on the left and the right wheels, precise position control of the wheels is necessary even if the unbalanced cargo weight on the rack would affect the control. Therefore, internal synchronization control for position tracking between the left and right wheels on the non-rail mobile rack is necessary in this study. In addition, external synchronization control for realizing the same straight movements between mobile racks is necessary. For the internal and the external synchronization control, we propose a synchronization control algorithm based on the repetitive control theory. An internal synchronization control algorithm with repetitive control theory requires the application of the robust servo control method owing to parameter variations. In this case, we can set up the gains for the robust servo control system by considering the cargo variations on the mobile rack. Furthermore, for developing the external synchronization control algorithm, we use a double repetitive control system to perform synchronization control between mobile racks. The efficiency of the proposed control algorithm will be verified by simulation and experimental results. The proposed algorithm can be easily applied in the industry.
