Intelligent Obstacle Avoidance Algorithm for Autonomous Control of Underwater Flight Vehicle (수중비행체의 자율제어를 위한 지능형 장애물회피 알고리즘)

  • In real system application, the obstacle avoidance system for the autonomous control of the underwater flight vehicle (UFV) operates with the following problems: it has local information because the sonar can only offer the obstacle information in a local detection area, it requires a continuous control input because the system that has reduced acoustic noise and power consumption is necessary, and further, it requires an easy design procedure in terms of its structures and parameters. To solve these problems, an intelligent obstacle avoidance algorithm using the evolution strategy (ES) and the fuzzy logic controller (FLC), is proposed. To verify the performance of the proposed algorithm, the obstacle avoidance of UFV is performed. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm effectively solves the problems in the real system application.

  • In real-time system application, the feature extraction and scoring algorithm for classification of the passive sonar target has the following problems: it requires an accurate and efficient feature extraction method because it is very difficult to distinguish the features of the propeller shaft rate (PSR) and the blade rate (BR) from the frequency spectrum in real-time, it requires a robust and effective feature scoring method because the classification database (DB) composed of extracted features is noised and incomplete, and further, it requires an easy design procedure in terms of structures and parameters. To solve these problems, an intelligent feature extraction and scoring algorithm using the evolution strategy (ES) and the fuzzy theory is proposed here. To verify the performance of the proposed algorithm, a passive sonar target classification is performed in real-time. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm effectively solves sonar classification problems in real-time.

  • Corporate business clusters create a borderless business network through value chains and value creation activities. Clusters in the IT sector are crossing regional boundaries because of their rapid technological development and short product life cycle. To investigate this phenomenon, we examined the value activities of IT companies. As a result, the global expansion of the case companies was limited, but they had business clusters that exceeded the regional boundaries. However, because the order of business clusters is not advanced, value activities are focused on productivity rather than innovation. Given the rapidly evolving nature of IT, it is necessary to evolve into a business cluster that can create new value. Companies must design and implement value-creating processes to develop new technologies or enter new markets, which can lead to cluster growth.   • The naval combat system is gradually evolving, actively accepting technological advances. The domain components of the naval combat system must also be adapted to the gradual evolution of the naval battle system. In other words, domain components should be easy to change. However, existing domain components do not fully consider changeability. In particular, when receiving more messages than planned from the middleware, it does not consider a way to process them in a timely manner. We propose a domain component reference architecture for timely processing of increased messages. The proposed architecture separates domain components so that business logic can operate independently, and sets up multiple business logic to operate simultaneously to handle increased messages. The track management domain component is designed using the proposed reference architecture to confirm the applicability.

  • Military training is an essential item for the fundamental problem of war. However, there has always been a problem that many resources are consumed, causing spatial and environmental pollution. The concepts of defense modeling and simulation and CGF(Computer Generated Force) using computer technology began to appear to improve this problem. The Naval Operations, Resources Analysis Model(NORAM) developed by the Republic of Korea Navy is also a DEVS(Discrete Event Simulation)-based naval virtual force analysis model. The current NORAM is a battle experiment conducted by an operator, and parameter values such as maneuver and armament operation for individual objects for each situation are evaluated. In spite of our research conducted evolutionary, supervised, reinforcement learning, in this paper, we introduce our design of a scenario creation model based on evolutionary learning using genetic algorithms. For verification, the NORAM is loaded with our model to analyze wartime engagements. Human-level tactical scenario creation capability is secured by automatically generating enemy tactical scenarios for human-designed Blue Army tactical scenarios.

  • The environment of IT is, currently, on its developing process to the period of cloud computing, big data, and business intelligence which not only enable computer and internet to be utilized like the water or the air, but also be a new motivating force for its advance. In the respect of various interactions and Infographics, however, it is requiring more demands from its users, and additional functions which cannot be provided by the Web Browser. In this study, therefore, it will be suggested a design of N-screen convergence presentation tier by using infographics based on N-Tier platform.

  • A combat vehicle needs to have an air-conditioning unit. Accordingly, new combat systems have tended to apply an integrated heating, cooling, and ventilating system. The air conditioning unit used depends on the combat vehicle's purpose of use. In this study, we studied an air-conditioning unit for an armored combat vehicle as a special use and military specification and tried to improve the air-conditioning unit's performance.

  • The tendency of the technology that is aggregated voice and data circuit is VoP, especially VoIP. But if we try VoP, we have to throw away well structured and well known TDM resources. In this case CLEC and ILEC will encounter lots of troubles about standardization of progress of network evolution, heavy cost of network construction and so on. Therefore in this paper, I suggest designing VoDSL terminal and its operation environment (such as DSLAM) based on TDM. This designed VoDSL terminal can be installed with the DSLAM between PSTN and ISP without any additional facilities. This is more convenient low cost, operation and easier to construct than VoP.

  • 본 연구에서는 기존의 IS-95B에서 IMT 2000으로의 자연스러운 진화를 지원하면서, IMT2000을 효과적으로 지원하기 위하여 CDMA 기반한 패켓데이타 서비스용 MAC 프로토콜을 설계하고 성능을 평가한다. 제안한 방안은 기본적으로 비연결형 패켓 전송 방식을 지원하여 채널의 재사용률을 높히고, 트래픽의 전송시에만 채널을 사용하는 DTX(Dis-continous Transmission Mode)에 기반하므로 채널 자원의 효율을 극대화 한다. 아울러 트래픽의 전송시 5ms에 기반한 전용제어 채널관리 기능을 제공하므로서 빠른 채널 제어를 지원한다. 또한 Sleep-mode에 기반한 전용 제어 채널 제어 기능을 제공하여 단말의 전력 감소를 최소화한다. 아울러, 상태 천이에 따라서 패켓의 송수신이 없는 경우에는 네트워크내의 데이터베이스 정보 관리 부하를 극소화 하는 방안을 제공한다. 특히, 본 논문에서 제안한 방안은 현재 cdmaOne 의 표준으로서 TR 45.5의 승인을 받아 ITU-R의 IMT2000 RTT(Radio Transmission Technology)로서 제출되어 있는 상태이다.

  • Genetic Algorithm(GA) has known as a method of solving NP problem in various applications. Since a major drawback of the GA is that it needs a long computation time, the hardware implementation of Genetic Algorithm is focused on in recent studies. This paper proposes a new type of embedded one chip computer fort Hardware Implementation of Genetic Algorithm. The proposed embedded one chip computer consists of 16 Bit CPU care and hardware of genetic algorithm. In contrast to conventional hardware oriented GA which is dependent on main computer in the process of GA, the proposed embedded one chip computer is independent on main computer. Conventional hardware GA uses the fixed length of chromosome but the proposed embedded one chip computer uses the variable length of chromosome by employing the efficient 16 bit Pipeline Unit. Experimental results show that the proposed one chip computer is applicable to the design of evolvable hardware for Random NRZ bit synchronization circuit.
