  • In this paper we have studied an optical system according to the aperture position of an off-axis TMA telescope for satellites. An off-axis TMA telescope should have high resolution and wide field of view (FOV). In addition, the optical system should have a wide tolerance range, because it is structurally located off-axis and is difficult to assemble. However, there are differences in performance and sensitivity according to the aperture-stop position, so it is important to select a suitable aperture-stop position. Therefore, in this paper we have designed each off-axis TMA telescope according to the aperture-stop position, and have analyzed the performance and sensitivity to suggest a suitable aperture-stop position.

  • The paper presents a design of simple four-element microstrip-patch array antenna that is suitable for 5G applications. The proposed array consists of four rectangular microstrip patch elements with semicircular etches made on both sides of each elements. The antenna is fed using the combination of series and corporate feeding networks. The size of the ground is also changed to improve the antenna frequency. Finally, yagi elements are also added to improve the directive gain of the antenna. The presented microstrip patch array is able to achieve wide frequency bandwidth of 21.95-31.86 GHz. The antenna has also attained gain of 9.7 dB at 28 GHz and has maintained high gain and high directivity throughout the frequency band. The proposed array antenna fed by series-corporate feeding network, with low profile and simple structure is a good candidate for 5G applications.

  • vehicle simulator as part of an empirical analysis the driving characteristics of elderly drivers. To this end, the driving characteristics of the elderly driver from previous study review. he driving characteristics of the elderly the driving elderly driver and general driverIn summarizing these experimental results, the -test showed different driving characteristics from general drivers in all items except for one side of the lane, such as driving speed and driving operation (brake, throttle, steering operation) at a significance level of 95%. Second, when changing lanes, it was difficult for elderly driver to maintain speed and secure an appropriate distance between carslderly driver changed lanes even in inappropriate situations (short distances between cars). Third, in unexpected situation, elderly drivers needed more distance and time.

  • Real-time systems using web cralwing data must provide users with data from the same database as remote data. To do this, the web crawler repeatedly sends HTTP(HtypeText Transfer Protocol) requests to the remote server to see if the remote data has changed. This process causes network load on the crawling server and remote server, causing problems such as excessive traffic generation. To solve this problem, in this paper, based on user events, we propose a real-time web crawling technique that can reduce the overload of the network while securing the reliability of maintaining the sameness between the data of the crawling server and data from multiple remote locations. The proposed method performs a crawling process based on an event that requests unit data and list data. The results show that the proposed method can reduce the overhead of network traffic in existing web crawlers and secure data reliability. In the future, research on the convergence of event-based crawling and time-based crawling is required.

  • Domestically, demands for multi-purpose performance venues which accommodate various performance genres have increased. However, those venues have limited capability and confined to a primary performance. The present work investigated various methods for controlling the acoustics of room for required performance genres by reviewing aurally presented and published materials. The method of varying the acoustics of a space is called Variable Acoustics, and adjusted in either passive and active ways. Passive control encompasses variable absorption, variable volume, coupled volume, and canopy reflectors, where the acoustics of a room is controlled in an architectural way. Active control includes In-line, Regenerative, and Hybrid systems where the acoustics of a room is manipulated electronically. The mechanism and application of each passive control system in existing venues are reviewed and their pros and cons are discussed. Also, the concept of each active systems and product applications are looked at through literature reviews. Lastly, some considerations that need to be taken into in the planning and design stage of a multi-purpose hall using Variable Acoustics are suggested.

  • Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar (SHPB) is a general test equipment for measuring the mechanical properties of high modulus metal and composite materials at high strain rate. However, for the soft plastic material, it is difficult to hold the specimen and achieve dynamic stress equilibrium due to the weak transmitted signals. In this study, SHPB test apparatus were designed to measure accurately the high strain rate stress-strain curve of the soft plastic materials by changing the incident bar materials and the shape of the specimen holder parts. In addition, to verify the high strain-rate tensile strain data obtained from SHPB, the strain distribution of the specimen was measured and analyzed with a high-speed camera and the digital image correlation (DIC), which was compared with the strain history measured from SHPB.

  • Due to the rapid development of AI-related industries, countless edge devices are working in the real world. Since data generated within the smart space consisted of these devices is beyond imagination, it is becoming increasingly difficult for edge devices to process. To solve this issue, EdgeCPS has appeared. EdgeCPS is a technology to support harmonious execution of various application services including AI applications through interworking between edge devices and edge servers, and augmenting resources/functions. Therefore, we propose a knowledge-sharing graph-based componentized AI application support system applicable to the EdgeCPS platform. The graph is designed to effectively store information which are essential elements for creating AI applications. In order to easily change resource/function augmentation under the support of the EdgeCPS platform, AI applications are operated as components. The application support system is linked with the knowledge graph so that users can easily create and test applications, and visualizes the execution aspect of the application to users as a pipeline.

  • In order to overcome the limitation of conventional nanoparticle dispersion methods such as sonicator or homogenizer, a filtration method using an ultrasonic atomization effect and cyclones was proposed in this study. A 0.5 wt% suspension was made with Al2O3 powder with an average diameter of 250 nm. The suspension was filtered by the proposed method after pre-dispersing using a sonicator and a homogenizer, respectively. As the result, in the case of the suspension after pre-dispersing with a sonicator, the particle size distribution of the filtered suspension started showing up a single normal distribution indicating the mode of the average diameter only after the 3rd cyclone process. On the other hand, in the case of the suspension with the homogenizer pre-dispersion, similar results appeared from the 2nd cyclone process. Filtration of various types of nanoparticles is expected to be possible by adjusting ultrasonic atomization frequency and manipulating the design of the cyclone.

  • This study was conducted to find out the rational and appropriate design of drilled shaft. In other words, in order to find out the variation of ultimate bearing capacity according to the change in the support layer of drilled shaft, back analysis was performed using the bi-directional pile load test performed on drilled shaft. Based on the back-analyzed data, numerical analysis of the pile head load was performed, and the ultimate bearing capacity in the target ground was evaluated using the Davisson method. As a result of numerical analysis of one case where the end of the pile was seated on the top of the weathered rock layer, and three cases where the end of the pile was embedded at different locations in the weathered soil, it was found that sufficient ultimate bearing capacity was secured in all cases. In other words, the case where the end of the pile is seated on the top of the weathered rock layer, not embedded the weathered rock, and the drilled shaft embedded into the weathered soil also have sufficient bearing capacity, so it can be used as a support layer for drilled shaft.

  • Self-Modifying-Code is a code that changes the code by itself during execution time. This technique is particularly abused by malicious code to bypass static analysis. Therefor, in order to effectively detect such malicious codes, it is important to identify self-modifying-codes. In the meantime, Self-modify-codes have been analyzed using dynamic analysis methods, but this is time-consuming and costly. If static analysis can detect self-modifying-code it will be of great help to malicious code analysis. In this paper, we propose a static analysis method to detect self-modified code for binary executable programs converted to LLVM IR and apply this method by making a self-modifying-code benchmark. As a result of the experiment in this paper, the designed static analysis method was effective for the standardized LLVM IR program that was compiled and converted to the benchmark program. However, there was a limitation in that it was difficult to detect the self-modifying-code for the unstructured LLVM IR program in which the binary was lifted and transformed. To overcome this, we need an effective way to lift the binary code.
