Service Life Variation for RC Structure under Carbonation Considering Korean Design Standard and Design Cover Depth (국내설계기준과 피복두께를 고려한 RC 구조물의 탄산화 내구수명의 변동성)

  • In this paper, service life for RC(Reinforced Concrete) substructure subjective to carbonation was evaluated through deterministic and probabilistic method considering field investigation data and Design Code(KDS 14 20 40). Furthermore changes in service life with increasing COV(Coefficient of Variation) and equivalent safety index meeting the same service life were studied. From the investigation, the mean and its COV of cover depth were evaluated to 70.0 ~ 90.0 mm and 0.2, respectively. With intended failure probability of 10.0 % and 70 mm of cover depth, service life decreased to 137 years, 123 years, and 91 years with increasing COV of 0.05, 0.1, and 0.2, respectively. In the case of 80 mm of cover depth, it changes to 179 years, 161 years, and 120 years with increasing COV. The equivalent safety index meeting the same service life from deterministic method showed 1.66 ~ 3.43 for 70 mm of cover depth and 1.61 ~ 3.24 for 80 mm of cover depth, respectively. The various design parameters covering local environment and quality condition in deterministic method yields a considerable difference of service life, so that determination of design parameters are required for exposure conditions and parameter variation.

On the Optimized Design of a Composite Hydrogen Fuel Tank using Taguchi Method (다구찌법을 이용한 복합소재 수소연료탱크의 최적설계에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, the optimized design for 130 liter storage fuel tank with 70MPa filling pressure has been investigated using a FEM technique and Taguchi design method. The strength safety of a composite fuel tank in which is fabricated by an aluminum liner of 6061-T6 material and carbon fiber wound composite layers of T800-24K has been analyzed based on the criterion of design safety of US DOT-CFFC and Korean Standard. The FEM computed results on the stress safety of 70MPa hydrogen gas tank were compared with a criterion of a stress ratio, 2.4 of US DOT-CFFC and Korean Standard, and indicated the safety. Thus, the optimized design elements based on the Taguchi's method were recommended as an aluminum liner thickness of 6.4mm, a carbon fiber laminate thickness in hoop direction of 31mm and a carbon fiber laminate thickness in helical direction of 10.2mm, which is represented by a design model of No. 5.

On the Damping Effects of Helmet Safety with a Corrugation Damper using Taguchi's Optimization Design (다구찌 설계법을 이용한 주름댐퍼를 갖는 헬멧안전의 감쇠효과에 관한 연구)

  • Using the finite element method and Taguchi's design technique, the displacement in vertical direction, von Mises stress, and strain energy of the corrugation damper have been analyzed as functions of the extruded length and the thickness of the corrugation damper, and the upper and lower corner radii of the damper. The optimized profile design elements of a corrugation damper are very important for increasing a strain energy absorption capacity of a helmet structure, which is attacked by impulsive external forces. In this study, the optimized design data based on the Taguchi's method was computed as a corrugation damper length of L = 20 mm, a damper thickness of t = 2 mm, the upper corner radius of $R_1=4\;mm$, and the lower corner radius of $R_2=3\;mm$. The optimized design parameters of a corrugation damper indicated that the thickness and extruded length of a corrugation damper may affect to increase the strain energy, which absorbs the impact forces of the helmet.

  • In this thesis, the characteristics of an inverted-F antenna for the 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz zwirless local area network(WLAN) have been analysed in terms of the variation of design parameters. The antenna can be integrated on WLAN for notebook printed circuit board, and the characteristics in terms of the variation of the gap between feed line and shorting stub, gap between antenna's leg and ground plane, antenna leg's width, substrate's height and dielectric constant are analysed. By using these characterization plot of design parameter, the tuning techniques are proposed to design optimum antenna. The designed antenna has 170MHz, 500MHz frequency bandwidth ,VSWR is 1.6, 1.14 and 3.5dBi gain.

  • Mechanical design of a deepwater pipeline wall thickness was performed by using the recent design rules. Characteristics and limitations of the new design rules were identified through a case study of a deepwater oil pipeline in the Gulf of Mexico. A design procedure was established for mechanical design of deepwater pipeline wall thickness. Comparison of the new API and DNV codes are presented.

  • 본 연구는 성형해석 및 실험적 방법을 통하여 페트 패키징 제품의 두께편차를 최소화 하기 위하여 프리폼 설계 및 블로우 성형공정 변수를 변화보았다. 블로우 성형과정을 정확하게 묘사하기 위하여 쉘(shell) 모델을 이용하여 블로우 성형해석을 수행하였으며, 이 결과를 토대로 프리폼 설계변수 및 공정 변수를 최적화 하였다. 제품 형상이 점점 복잡해지고 요구되는 제품의 품질이 높아질수록 실험적으로 최적의 결과를 도출하기가 어렵다. 이러한 문제점을 수치적 해석을 통하여 사전에 발생될 수 있는 파악함으로서 시행착오를 줄이고 최적의 금형을 제작함으로써 설계 불량, 제작시간 단축 및 비용 감소등 최적의 결과를 빠른 시간에 도출할 수 있음을 알 수가 있었다.

  • This paper presents a mechanical design of the deepwater pipeline wall thickness using the recent design rules. Characteristics and limitations of the new codes were identified through a case study design in the Gulf of Mexico. In addition to the ASME, API, and DVD codes, the code of federal regulations (CFR) was also utilized in the design. It was found that conservatism still exists within the collapse prediction for water depth greater than 1500m. Comparision of the results from DNV and API codes were presented.

  • 압전세라믹스를 제조하여 발음체 소자의 두께 직경등의 칫수 변화에 따른 압전발을 체 소자의 전기적 특성 및 압전세라믹스와 금속진동판의 상관관계를 조사하고 공명용 수지 case등을 고려하여 공진 주파수에서 효율좋은 음을 발생시킬수 있는 압전발음체를 설계하였 다. 본 실험에서 사용딘 압전세라믹스 (Pb0.95Sr0.05)(Zr0.53Ti0.47)O3+0.8wt%Nb2O5의 특성은 전 기기계 결합계수(KP)가 69%이며 기계적 품질계수(Qm)은 87 비유전율은 2100 tan$\delta$는 0.016이었다. 금속진동판의 공진주파수는 사용되는 재료의 stiffness와 관계가 있고 주파수 -impedance 특성은 재질의 음속, 밀도, Young율 등에 크게 의존하였다. 주파수 대역 2.0~ 2.2khz에서 공진시키기 위한 공명체의 설계에서 압전세라믹스의 외경과 두께가 각각 14mm, 0.1mm 이고 금속진동판의 그것이 각각 20mm, 0.1mmdlfEo 공명기는 방음공의 직경이 3.0mm, cavity의 직경이 18.5mm, cavity의 높이가 4.5mm의 구조로 설계되었을때가 최적조 건이었다.

박막형 열전 소재의 두께 방향 열전도도 측정 장비 개발

  • 열전 발전은 버려지는 폐열을 재사용 가능한 에너지로 전환할 수 있다는 점에서 차세대 청정 에너지원으로 분류되며, 19세기 초 발견된 이래 꾸준히 연구되어온 연구 분야이다. 특히 1990년대 열전소재로의 나노 기술의 접목에 따라 열전성능(figure of merit, ZT)이 2 배 이상 증가 되면서, 고성능의 열전 소재 개발을 위해 나노구조화 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 하지만, 기존의 열전 특성 측정용 상용 장비의 경우, 벌크형 소재를 대상으로 설계되어 연구실 수준에서 개발되고 있는 마이크로미터 스케일의 두께를 가지는 박막형 열전 소재의 두께 방향 (cross-plane)의 열전 특성을 평가하는데 정밀성이 떨어져서 적합하지 않다. 이러한 표준화된 측정 기술의 부재로 인하여 최근 연구되고 있는 나노소재들의 열전 특성 측정 결과를 정확하게 측정하지 못하고 있다 [1] 본 연구에서는 박막형 열전 소재의 열전성능을 평가하는데 가장 중요한 요소인 열전도도를 측정하기 위해 장비를 설계하고, 장비의 측정 능력에 대해 평가하였다. 특히, 측정 포인트 간 큰 온도 차가 발생하여 비교적 쉽게 측정이 가능한 너비 방향 (in-plane) 이 아닌, 온도 차가 작은 박막의 두께 방향의 열전도도를 측정하였다. 그리고 센서의 측정 능력을 평가하기 위해, 폴리이미드를 대상으로 $-10-70^{\circ}C$ 온도 범위에서 측정한 결과와 벌크형 소재 대상으로 신뢰성이 확보된 보호열판법을 이용해 측정한 결과를 비교하였다.

Strength and Deformation Behavior of Steel Plates under Cyclic Loadinga (반복하중을 받는 강판의 강도 및 변형특성)

  • This paper presents are monotonic and cyclic behavior of steel plates. The effects of design parameters, initial deflection and aspect ratio, width-thickness ratio are studied by using FEM analysis. The results obtained from the monotonic loadings show that the aspect ratio(a/b) on the strength is to be neglected in the range of $(a/b){\leq}1.0$. The major cause of the reduction in strength sbbjected to cyclic loadings are width-thickness ratio and displacement amplitude. Based on the results, this paper presents some new strength curve with considering the cyclic deteriorations. The results are also discussed about the deformation capacity accordance with the width-thickness ratio and displacement amplitude.
