  • 본 연구에서는 방향성 결합기의 특성과 PIN다이오드의 특성을 이용하여 가변 감쇠기를 구현하였다. 기존의 Even-Odd Mode해석법이 아닌 간단한 2-port 기법으로 감쇠기를 분석하였으며, 산란 파라미터는 결합포트의 종단 임피던스가 동일한 경우와 동일하지 않은 경우에 있어서의 감쇠기의 동작특성을 평가하였다. 방향성 결합기의 결합포트는 가변종단을 HP사의 전류제어 소자인 HSMP-3864 PIN다이오드를 사용하였다. 구현된 가변감쇠기는 PCS 송신주파수 1.9 GHz에서 감쇠 범위가 30 dB 이상, 삽입손실 5 dB 이하, 입·출력 반사계수 -25 dB 이하의 특성을 나타내었으며, 이는 PCS와 셀룰러 이동통신 기지국용 전력 증폭기를 온도 등과 같은 외부의 환경변화에 따라서 이득을 가변 시킬 수 있으며, 또한 증폭기의 선형성을 향상시킬 것으로 사료된다.

  • 부유체의 횡동요는 부유체의 안정성을 헤칠 뿐 아니라 승조원의 피로를 누적시키고, 기자재의 안정적인 운용과 수명에도 영향을 미친다. 본 연구에서는 점성감쇠 안티롤링진자를 이용하여 부유체의 횡동요를 줄이는 방법을 제안하고, 안티롤링진자의 효용성을 보인다. 약 1m, 7.7kg의 모형선에 32g, 40g, 50g의 안티롤링진자를 탑재하여 16%~23.5%의 롤링 저감 효과를 얻을 수 있었다.

Study of Optical Tomography for Measurement of Spray Characteristics at High Ambient Pressure (고압 환경에서의 분무 특성 계측을 위한 광학 토모그래피 기법 연구)

  • Spray cross-section was measured by the Optical Line Patternator (OLP) and Optical Tomography at high ambient pressure. The laser line beam passed through the spray region, then Mie scattered signal and transmitted light were captured. The measured signal was processed to obtain a distribution of attenuation coefficient in spray cross-section. Beer-Lambert's law and mathematical reconstruction methods were used to reconstruct the distribution of attenuation coefficient. Spray became dense at high pressure and attenuation of scattered signal occurred seriously. OLP method, which uses Mie scattered signal, showed limit in compensating attenuation problem in dense spray region. Optical tomography reconstructed spray cross-section well, from transmission rate of light penetrating spray region.

GA-Based Optimal Design for Vibration Control of Adjacent Structures with Linear Viscous Damping System (선형 점성 감쇠기가 장착된 인접구조물의 진동제어를 위한 유전자 알고리즘 기반 최적설계)

  • This paper proposes an optimal design method of distribution and capacities of linear viscous dampers for vibration control of two adjacent buildings. The previous researches have dealt with suboptimal design problem under the assumption that linear viscous dampers are distributed uniformly or proportionally to the sensitivity of the modal damping ratio according to floors, whereas this study deals with global optimization problem in which the damping capacities of each floor are independently selected as design parameters. For this purpose, genetic algorithm to effectively search multiple design variables in large searching domains is adopted and objective function leading to the global optimal solutions is established through the comparison of several optimal design values obtained from different objective functions with control performance and damping capacity. The effectiveness of the proposed method is investigated by comparing the control performance and total damping capacity designed by the proposed method with those of the previous method. In addition, the time history analyses are performed by using three historical earthquakes with different frequency contents, and the simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method is an effective seismic design method for the vibration control of the adjacent structures.

An Evaluation of Loss Factor of Damping Treatment Materials for Panels of Railway Vehicles (철도차량용 패널 감쇠처리재의 감쇠계수 평가)

  • This paper is a study on the evaluation of loss factor of damping treatment materials to reduce the noise and vibration for panels of railway vehicles and automobiles. In order to determine the modal parameters of damping materials, beam excitation tests were carried out using different type PVC coated aluminum and steel base beam specimens. The specimens were excited from 10 Hz to 1000 Hz frequency range using sinusoidal force, and transfer mobility data were measured by using an accelerometer. The loss factors were determined by using integrated program, based on theories of Half Power Method, Minimum Tangent Error Method, Minimum Angle Error Method and Phase Change Method, which enable to evaluate the parameters using modal circle fit and least squares error method. In the case of lower loss factor and data of linear characteristics, any method could be applied for evaluation of parameters, however the case of higher loss factor or data including non-linear characteristics, the minimum angle error method could reduce the loss factor evaluation. The obtained dynamic properties of the coating material could be used for application of Finite Element Method analyzing the noise control effects of complex structures such as carbody or under-floor boxes of rolling stock. The damping material will be very useful to control the structural noise, because the obtained modal loss factors of each mode show very good effect on over $2^{nd}$ mode frequency range.

Fuzzy $H^{\infty}$ Controller Design for Uncertain Nonlinear Systems (불확실성을 갖는 비선형 시스템의 퍼지 $H^{\infty}$ 제어기 설계)

  • This paper presents a method for designing robust fuzzy $H^{\infty}$ controllers which stabilize nonlinear systems with parameter uncertainty adn guarantee an induced $L_{2}$ norm bound constraint on disturbance attenuation for all admissible uncertainties. Takagi and Sugeno's fuzzy models with uncertainty are used as the model for the uncertain nonlinear systems. Fuzzy control systems utilize the concept of so-called parallel distributed compensation(PDC). Using a single quadratic Lyapunov function, the stability condition satisfying decay rate and disturbance attenuation condition for Takagi and Sugeno's fuzzy model with parameter uncertainty are discussed. A sufficient condition for the existence of robust fuzzy $H^{\infty}$ controllers is then presented in terms of linear matrix inequalities(LMIs). Finally, design examples of robust fuzzy $H^{\infty}$ controllers for uncertain nonlinear systems are presented.

The optimum damping retrofit for cabinet structures of NPP by μ-GA (μ-GA를 이용한 원전 캐비닛구조물의 최적감쇠보강)

  • The optimal seismic retrofitting of NPP(Nuclear Power Plant) cabinet structures that contain seismic category 1 relays was studied in this paper. During earthquake event, the failure modes of relays are not appeared in form of structural failure, but are appeared in form of contact chatter of relay. Therefore, the retrofitting of cabinet has to be aimed at the reducing of the structural response, such as acceleration. In this study, the optimal characteristic values of dampers were searched by ${\mu}$-GA (micro-Genetic Algorithm) scheme for several installation patterns. To keep accuracy and efficiency of analysis, the structural models of cabinet were considered as a frame structure. The responses of structure were obtained inform of acceleration response spectra derived from the results of nonlinear time history analysis including damping nonlinearity. The objective function of the optimum procedure was constructed based on the maximum ratio of maximum spectral value and target GERS (General Equipment Ruggedness Spectra). The results show the good improvements of fitness for adequate retrofitting pattern. Especially, the improvements of fitness were remarkable when the values of damping exponents are low.

  • The purpose of this paper is to review the appropriateness of the application method for the value of the damping ratio suggested in the current design standards and evaluation guidelines when evaluating the seismic performance of concrete dams and to suggest improvements. As a result of the study, for the magnitude of the damping ratio in the dynamic elastic analysis, it is necessary to refer to the case of a similar dam in which the magnitude of the earthquake load is similar and the reproducibility of the damping ratio has been verified. Considering this, it is necessary to apply a low damping ratio and consider adding hysteresis damping in case of nonlinear behavior. In addition, since the concrete dam body located on the rock has insignificant radiation attenuation effect, it is not reasonable to increase the damping ratio of the concrete dam body to reflect the radiation damping. Therefore, in order to evaluate the realistic seismic performance of concrete dams, it is necessary to revise the damping ratio-related contents contained in the current dam design standards and evaluation guidelines.

Comparative Study on Seismic Performance of Viscously Damped Self-Centering SDOF Systems with Elasto-Plastic SDOF Systems (점성 감쇠기를 가진 셀프 센터링 단자유도 시스템과 탄소성거동의 단자유도 시스템의 내진성능 비교에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this paper is to analytically find the approximate supplement damping ratio of the viscous damper installed in self-centering (SC) single-degree-of-freedom (SDOF) systems with maximum displacements that are similar to those of elasto-plastic (EP) SDOF systems. The behavior of an SC SDOF system under harmonic cyclic loading was first described. Then an analytical model that can capture the behavior of the viscously damped SC SDOF system was introduced. Analysis parameters that characterize the hysteresis of the EP and SC SDOF systems were chosen, and nonlinear time-history analyses were performed using 20 historical accelerograms. Most of the SC SDOF systems with viscous dampers with approximately 10-15% damping ratios presented mean maximum displacement values that were similar to those of the EP SDOF systems. To investigate in detail the seismic performance of both systems, three EP SDOF systems and six corresponding SC SDOF systems were selected. The analyses showed that all the SC SDOF systems eliminated the residual displacements after the end of their shaking, and that the SC SDOF systems with 15% damping ratios performed better than the EP SDOF systems in terms of maximum displacement and acceleration response.

강지진동 분석의 최적화를 위한 고려요소

  • 한반도에 있어서의 지진의 영향을 분석하기 위해서는 강지진동 연구가 필수적이다. 강지진동 자료가 부족한 한반도의 특성상 모사를 통해 연구하고 있다. 강지진동 분석을 하기 위해서는 되도록 노이즈가 포함되어 있지 않은 지진파자료를 선택하여 그 지진자료의 스펙트럼 분석을 통해 감쇠상수 k, Q 등을 구한다. 이러한 감쇠상수 값을 통해 한반도의 진동 특성을 이해할 수 있다. 그러나 감쇠상수를 구하는 과정에서 감쇠상수 분석에 사용된 지진자료에 노이즈가 더해졌을 경우, 어떤 형태로 스펙트럼 영역에 영향을 미치고, 감쇠상수에는 어떤 영향을 미치는 지를 연구하여 노이즈효과를 제거할 수 있는 최적화된 분석에 관한 연구가 선행되어야 한다고 본다. 따라서 이번 연구에서는 강지진동 모사프로그램을 가지고 노이즈효과를 적용하면서 감쇠상수에 노이즈가 어떤 영향을 미치는 지에 대한 수치 해석적 연구를 실시하였다. 합성지진파에 이 합성지진파와 전혀 다른 주파수 형태를 보이는 노이즈를 강도를 달리하면서 합성해 본 결과, 노이즈효과를 고려할 수 있는 몇 가지 요소가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 감쇠상수 k값을 강지진동 모사프로그램으로부터 값을 달리하며 합성해 본 결과 노이즈효과를 보이는 것을 알 수 있었으며, 감쇠상수 k를 선형회귀를 통해 $k_{s}$$k_{q}$를 구할 때의 적용 주파수 범위를 변화시켰을 때도 일정한 양상의 노이즈 효과를 보였다. 또 지진자료와 노이즈를 중첩시킨 지진파 시계열 자료의 정부분만을 감쇠상수 k를 구하는 선형회귀에 이용했을 경우에도 노이즈 효과를 보였다. 또한 계산되어 나온 감쇠상수 값으로부터 특정지역의 지반운동의 특성을 이해할 수 있는 스펙트럼 가속도, 최대 가속도, 및 최대속도 값에 따른 감쇠식을 구하였다. 이것을 한반도와 같은 판 내부 환경인 ENA 값과 비교하였으며 기존의 연구와도 비교하였다.심으로부터 지오이드까지의 거리, 지오이드로부터 지표까지의 거리를 정의해주었으며, 각 격자점의 수직구조를 정의하기 위해 깊이에 따른 각 매질의 밀도, P파의 속도, S파의 속도, P파에 대한 Q값, S파에 대한 Q값을 정의 해주었다. S파의 속도를 구하기 위해서 지구 내부 물질을 포아송 매질이라는 가정 하에, 관계식을 $Vp{\;}={\;}SQRT(3){\;}{\times}{\;}Vs$ 이용하였다. 획득한 모델치들을 이용해 동해와 동해 인근 지역에 대한 초기모델을 구축하였다. 약 1 × 10/sup 6/ e/sup -//sec·n㎡ 의 전자선량에 해당되며 이를 기준으로 각각의 illumination angle에 대한 임계전자선량을 평가할 수 있었다. 실질적으로 Cibbsite와 같은 무기수화물의 직접가열실험 시 전자빔 조사에 의해 야기되는 상전이 영향을 배제하고 실험을 수행하려면 illumination angle 0.2mrad (Dose rate : 8000 e/sup -//sec·n㎡)이하로 관찰하고 기록되어야 함을 본 자료로부터 알 수 있었다.운동횟수에 의한 영향으로써 운동시간을 1일 6시간으로 설정하여, 운동횟수를 결정하기 위하여 오전, 오후에 각 3시간씩 운동시키는 방법과 오전부터 6시간동안 운동시키는 두 방법을 이용하여 품질을 비교하였다. 각 조건에 따라 운동시킨 참돔의 수분함량을 나타낸 것으로, 2회(오전 3시간, 오후 3시간)에 나누어서 운동시키기 위한 육의 수분함량은 73.37±2.02%를 나타냈으며, 1회(6시간 운동)운동시키기 위한 육은 71.74±1.66%을 나타내었다. 각각의 운동조건에서 양식된 참돔은 사육초기에는 큰 변화가 없었으나, 사육 5일 이후에는 수분함량이 증가하여 15일에는 76.40±0.14, 75.62±0.98%의 수분함량을 2회와 1회 운동시킨 참돔의 육에서 각각 나타났다. 운동횟수에 따른 지
