  • In this research, the relationship between the bow shape and green water phenomenon on the bow deck of an FPSO was studied using an experimental method. A 140,000 DWT FPSO was used as the objective hull form in the present research. The incident waves were regular types. The heights were 1.0 and 1.5 times the freeboard, and the length was equal in size to LBP. The wave heights and pressures on the deck were measured in experiments. Model tests were performed to determine the effects of bow flare angles, bow shapes, and a forecastle deck. The free heave and pitch conditions were applied to the models in these experiments. From the results of the model tests, an optimized bow shape was designed, which was found to decrease the green water impact loading. The results of this research could be used as fundamental data in the design of a bow shape.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the muscle activities of pectoralis major, upper serratus, lat dorsi, anterior deltoid, rhomboids, infraspinatus, and posterior deltoid using Noraxon 8 channels EMG system during T-ball swing in children with Down syndrome. Five Down syndrome, one healthy children, and one baseball adult player were participated in the study. Down syndrome's children showed higher muscle activity than one healthy children and one baseball adult player during address to backswing and backswing to impact swing phase. While Down syndrome's children showed lower muscle activity than one healthy children and one baseball adult player during impact to follow swing phase. The strength of the pectoralis major and upper serratus muscle may help to improve T-ball swing movement during impact to follow swing phase.

  • Researcher has reviewed the diagnosis and strategies under the perspective of the Luhmann's system theory, and has concluded the following. The existing anti-doping communication has adopted a personalization strategy, in which the causes and responsibilities of doping is attributed to persons. Therefore, the problem-solving measures are all most the individual-centered such as detection, punishment, education to enlighten. Such a strategy is not only to simplify the doping phenomenon, which is a result of the complex entanglement of the interests of the sport system and its surroundings functional systems, to a result of the individual decision-making according to free will, but also to contribute to hiding of the internal and structural problems of systems through the self-reflection blocking of sport system and its surrounding systems, and to inactivate the anti-doping efforts by imposing demand which player or trainer can not easy accept. The effective strategy for combating doping should be conceptualized and executed in all levels of problems.

  • Experiments were carried out to measure the variation of the compass error on ship's head up bearing by magnetic compass and electromagnetic compass on berthing at the pier in order to obtain a basic information on the utilization of autopilot system using electromagnetic compass in fishing boat. The wooden fishing boat, turned on attracting fish lamps of power consumption 85kW, steering magnetic compass and electromagnetic compass indicated westerly compass error with 7$^{\circ}$ and 13 $^{\circ}$~16$^{\circ}$ respectively. The FRP fishing boat, turned on attracting fish lamps of power consumption 130kW, electromagnetic compass indicated easterly compass error 19$^{\circ}$~23$^{\circ}$. The steel fishing boat, turned on ship's navigation equipments of power consumption 225kW, steering magnetic compass indicated westerly compass error with 16$^{\circ}$. While the difference of compass error using electromagnetic compass indicated westerly compass error with 68$^{\circ}$ on the upper deck when the navigation and fishing equipment turn on compare to turn off the equipment, it had easterly compass error with 16$^{\circ}$, 32$^{\circ}$, 20$^{\circ}$ on the forecastle deck, wheel house and compass deck respectively.

  • The KBO League is held over a long period of time due to the large number of games. Also, Korea has a diverse and distinct climate. Therefore, this study analyzed the relationship between the daily average temperature and the record of batting power such as home runs, triples, doubles, number of bases, batting percentage, and net batting percentage, and a third baseball record was defined. For this study, the correlation between the daily average temperature data and the batter who entered the standard at-bat in the KBO League in 2019 was analyzed through the SEMMA method. From the results of this study, it was found that the average daily temperature had an effect on a batter's hitting power. In particular, it was found that a batter's hitting power decreased on the day of temperatures recorded between 20.0 degrees and 24.9 degrees, and it was discussed that this may have been related to the physical condition of the pitcher the batter was facing. Therefore, it can be expected that players, coaching staff, and the front desk can use them in the game through conditions outside the game. In addition, it is expected that it will be a more useful analysis model by analyzing the records of pitching, base running, and defense as well as subsequent batting records.
