  • 최근 web을 기반으로 한 인터넷과 관련한 기술은 선박설계 과정에서 설계 생산성을 향상시키기 위해 새로운 설계 패러다임에 도입되고 있다. Web을 기반으로 한 선박설계는 분산된 설계환경에서 여러 설계 전문가들이 함께 참여할 수 있게 함으로써 설계정보를 동시에 공유할 수 있도록 하며, 원격지에서도 설계자가 원하는 자료를 검색할 수 있도록 해준다. 현재 소형선박을 설계하는 현장에서는 데이터 베이스가 효율적으로 구축되어 있지 않기 때문에 설계 작업시 수작업이 반복적으로 이루어지고 있다. 이러한 수작업의 반복은 설계 과정에서 에러를 발생시키고 각 설계 단계별로 발생하는 설계 데이터의 손실로 인해 생산성을 저하시키는 요인으로 작용될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 web 기반을 통한 선박기본계산 서비스를 제공함으로서 설계정보들을 웹 브라우저를 통해서 소형선박을 건조하는 조선소나 설계 용역을 담당하는 설계사무소와 같은 원격지에서도 필요한 데이터를 검색할 수 있도록 제시하였다.

  • 기존 선박사고 자료를 이용하여 향후 발생 가능한 선박사고의 확률을 계산하기 위한 이론과 프로그램 및 실험결과를 나타낸다. 기본적으로 베이지안 기법을 적용하여 다양한 사고의 원인과 결과 사이에 발생하는 인과관계를 통계적 기법으로 다양한 사고들이 발생할 수 있는 사고 확률을 계산하였다. 계산을 위하여 프로그램을 개발하고, 이 프로그램을 이용하여 제안한 방법의 유용성을 검증하였다.

Development of the Ship Resistance Calculation Program for Prediction of Towing Forces for damaged Ships (손상 선박의 예인력 추정을 위한 선박 저항 계산 프로그램 개발)

  • One of the primary purposes of tugs is for the towing of other ships in salvage operations. In order to conduct such a task safely, the tug should be capable of generating the appropriate towing forces. Therefore the prediction of resistance against a towed ship during towing operation is a very important and essential procedure. This paper studies the ship resistance calculation program to predict towing force. The calculation program consists of the functions that calculate basic hull resistance in calm water, added resistance due to wind, drifting, hull roughness, waves, shallow water and currents. All predictions are calculated by statistical and empirical methods by graph or formula. The calculation results made by this program are compared with the results from the U.S. Navy's Towing Manual. These results confirm that this computer program is quite capable of appropriately predicting the resistance of damaged ships.

  • Marine accidents caused by dragging anchors occur constantly due to enlargement of ships' size and unusual weather conditions. Nevertheless, vessel operators rely on their experience because the calculations of actual holding power and external forces are complex and inconvenient. The purpose of this study was to propose a program for the anchor dragging risk assessment in order to provide crew and VTSO with the information to determine easily the danger of dragging and take appropriate action. The input data in this program were composed of the ship's basic particulars, anchoring condition, and external environment etc. on calculating for the wind pressure, frictional force, drift force, and holding power. Three dragging anchor accidents were applied to the program's data input at the time of the day, then the result was assessed by 'warning', which was verified with a high confidence. As a result, the risk of dragging anchors can be predicted in advance through this program. In further studies, it is necessary to simplify the input data and improve user convenience through automatic input from various equipment.

A Study on the Concept Design of Automatic Vessel Berthing Program (선박자동접안 프로그램 개념설계에 관한 연구)

  • In order for an autonomous ship to arrive near the pier and automatically berth without the help of a tugboat or pilot, it is necessary to recognize the pier and calculate the thruster output and output angle for berthing to the pier at a fixed berthing speed under given external force conditions. Therefore, in this study, the external force and moment acting on the ship while berthing were analyzed, and the thruster output calculation for automatic berthing was designed and the basic concept for the development of the automatic berthing program was designed. The wind pressure applied to the hull by the wind while the ship is berthing was calculated based on the wind pressure area and the wind direction angle and the turning moment to rotate the ship according to the transverse force of the ship was calculated. Considering the force acting on the ship and the turning moment during berthing, a theoretical formula was presented to calculate the thruster output and output angle for berthing parallel to the pier, and the turning due to other variables was controlled by the PID controller. In addition, the basic concept for program development was presented by analyzing the input elements necessary for the theoretical formula.

초기설계 및 선박 유체 성능 해석 시스템

  • 본 연구는 CSDP-초기설계 시스템 개발'3' 세부과제로 수행되었으며 선박의 기본 성능 및 사양을 결정하는데 필요한 제반 기본 계산을 수행하고 설계자의 의사결정을 지원하는 대화식 초기 설계 전산 시스템의 개발에 그 목적이 있으며, 크게 개념설계 분야와 선형 설계분야로 나누어 개발 되어왔다.(Fig. 4.1 참조). 이번 4차년도에는, 프로그램을 보다 효율적으로 사용할 수 잇도록 하기 위하여 개년설계 시스템을 구성하는 단위 모듈들을 단독으로 사용 가능하도록 독립성을 유지 함과 동시에, 시스템 차원의 상위 레벨에서 각각의 모듈들을 통합 제어하는 수퍼어플리케이션 개념을 이용한 유연화된 대화형 개념설계 프로그램(BASCON-3)을 개발하였다. 그리고 선박의 주기관 선정과 관련한 경험적 지식을 도출하여 지식베이스를 구성하고, 주기관 데이터베이스 및 저항.추진성능 추정 모듈들과의 통합을 통한 시험형의 주기관 선정 지원 시스템(ME-ASSIST )을 개발하였다. 또한 그래픽 사용자 인터페이스(GUI)를 채택한 확장형 선형 정의 및 변환 프 로그램(MBASTRANS)을 개발하였다. 형상 모델러인 ACIS를 도입하여, 조선 분야에의 활용 가 능성을 연구하였고, 조선소에 GUI개발 기술과 시스템 통합 기술을 이전하였다.

  • This paper describes the development of the interactive hullform transformation program. This program has many hull transformation functions such as main particular transformation, deadrise generation, section characteristic transformation, local transformation and CB, LCB variation, etc. MBASTRANS adopted the GUI(Graphical User Interface) using the OSF/Motif based on the X-Window system and used X-PLOT and GLBAX which are 2 and 3 dimensional graphic libraries, respectively. The interface module cans generate the information of the hullform for the SIKOB package and the hydrodynamic analysis.

  • In this parer, a protocol system is developed, which automates the sequential procedure that transforms the information of compartment generated by SIKOB, the calculation program of ship design, to the STEP format which is used as the input data of next level of ship design. The schemata representing hull form and compartment are constructed. The STEP physical files are made by instancing these schemata using the results of SIKOB. They are transmitted to the CAD system and then worked on the CAD system. It means that they could be used as the data of next level of ship design.

  • It is one of the important processes to predict the resistance of the towed ship when towing a disabled ship on the sea. Besides the basic resistance of hull itself, there are various added resistance, especially the added resistance due to waves can be considered one of the biggest component. In this paper, the algorithm which predict the added resistance due to waves of a disabled ship by theoretical analysis method of ISO 15016 standard was established, and realized as a computer program. The calculated result for an example ship was compared with existing standard one, and it is considered that this algorithm and computer program are appropriate to use for predicting the resistance and towing force of the disabled ship actually.

  • Various geometric modeling techniques for a hull have been developed with wide application of computer to the ship design. Up to now, they are used for the representation of the sculptured surface with the piecewise polynominal curves or surfaces for a conventional hull. In this paper, a convenient and accurate modeling technique that is instancing and blending of the geometry primitives is introduced for a non-conventional hull such as SWATH, trimaran, caisson etc. Geometric characteristics, hydrostatic particulars and stability of the definded hull are calculated.
