Biosynthesis of Carbohydrate associated with secondary Metabolites; Biosynthesis of dTDP-4-keto-6-deoxy-D-glucose by four enzyme reaction system

  • We have developed a synthetic method for dTDP-4-keto-6-deoxy-D-glucose with four enzyme system. We have used crude extracts from cultures of Escherichia coli BL21 strains harboring plasmids containing different sources. dTDP-4-keto-6-deoxy-D-glucose was synthesized by the combination of thymidine-monophosphate kinase, acetate kinase, dTDP-glucose synthase and dTDP-D-glucose 4,6-dehydratase in a batch system, starting the reaction with dTMP. The enzymatic synthesis strategy allowed a dTMP conversion with a 95%.

고준위 폐기물 지하처분연구시설 부지 특성에 관한 연구

  • 본 연구에서는 원자력 연구소 내에 건설할 고준위 폐기물 지하처분연구시설 부지에 관한 특성을 파악하고, 연구시설의 위치를 선정하기 위한 지질학적 연구를 실시하였다. 지표지질조사를 통하여 연구소 내에 분포하는 암석들의 분류와 선구조 분석을 실시하였고, 지구물리탐사와 시추조사를 통한 지하 암반의 분포양상과 연구시설 주변의 추정되는 파쇄대의 분포를 확인하였다. 지표지질조사결과 복운모화강암과 화강섬록암질 편마암이 점이적인 관계로 분포하고 있으며 (Fig.1, 3), 이들 화강암류 내에는 암맥상으로 중성 혹은 염기성 암맥들이 절리의 방향과 동일하게 관입 분포한다. 절리의 방향성은 N30E, N80W, NS방향으로 분포하고 있다(Fig. 2).(중략)

  • 각종 전자 제품 및 첨단 산업 장비에 TSP (Touch Screen Panel) 적용이 늘어나고 있다. TSP 표면에 기본적으로 적용되는 지문방지코팅 (Anti Fingerprint coating, AF coating)의 공정 조건 변화가 신뢰성에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대하여 연구하였다. 본 연구에서는 전 코팅 공정에 포함되는 전처리, 중간층 공정의 유무에 따라 특성분석을 진행하였으며 이를 비교 분석하였다. 특성 분석은 최초접촉각과 내마모시험 후 접촉각을 측정하여 비교하였으며, 전처리와 중간층 공정이 모두 포함된 표준 지문방지코팅막이 내마모시험 3000 회를 거친 후에도 접촉각을 유지함으로서 가장 우수함을 알 수 있었다. 또한 TEM (Transmission Electron Microscope) 촬영을 통하여 각 층의 경계면에 결함이 발견되지 않았다. 이는 전처리 공정과 중간층 공정을 통하여 박막의 접합력과 내구성을 향상시켰다고 사료된다. 하지만 공정의 단순화와 TSP의 대형화 추세에 맞춰 새로운 방법의 지문방지코팅 공정개발이라는 과제도 남겼다.

부산시 금정산 주변지역의 수리지질학적 특성 연구

  • 금정터널 굴착 공사의 실시 설계를 위하여 굴착시 발생하게될 터널내로의 지하수 유출과 관련된 수리지질학적 특성을 연구하였다. 단열들에 대한 정보를 얻기 위하여 지표지질조사 및 지질구조조사를 실시하였다. 연구지역의 투수성을 파악하기 위하여 토양의 물리적, 공학적 특성을 규명하였고, 또한 정압주입시험을 실시하였다. 선구조선의 우세방향은 북북동-남남서 방향으로 동래단층 및 동래단층과 관련된 단층군들이 포함된다. 토양시료의 시험결과, 산정된 수리전도도는 2.l9E-05 m/sec ~ 2.11E-04 m/sec 로서 투수성이 빠름 ~ 매우 빠른 범위 값을 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 주입시험에 의해 산정된 수리전도도는 2.28E-10 m/sec ~ 1.49E-06 m/sec 로서 최대값과 최소값은 4 차수(four order)의 차이를 보였다.

Growth of GaN Thin-Film from Spin Coated GaOOH Precursor (GaOOH 선구체의 스핀코팅에 의한 GaN 박막의 성장)

  • GaN thin fan were grown by spin coated colloidal GaOOH precursor. Polycrystalline GaNs with crystalline size of $10{\sim}100nm$ were grown on $SiO_2$ substrate. The shape of crystallite above $900^{\circ}C$ had the hexagonal plate and column type. X-ray diffraction patterns for them correspond to those of the hexagonal wurtzite GaN. With increasing droplets. i.e, thickness of deposited layers, XRD intensity increased. PL (photoluminescence) spectrum consisted with an weak near band-edge emission at 3.45 eV and a broad donor-acceptor emission band at 3.32 eV. From the low temperature PL measurement on GaN grown at $800^{\circ}C$ that the shallow donor-acceptor recombination induced emission was more intense than the near band-edge excitonic emission.

  • Nb-containing austenitic stainless steel is widely used as exhaust frame and diffuser assembly in power plant. However, this steel is known to be difficult to produce by the continuous casting process due to the surface cracks. Therefore, the continuous casting technology was developed for the prevention of the surface cracks on CC slabs. Precipitates and the analysis of heat trasfer in a slab were investigated in order to find out the formation mechanism of surface cracks on cc slabs It was found that surface cracks are occurred due to the NbC precipitates, which are formed along the grain boundaries around $800^{\circ}C$. The secondary cooling pattern has been developed to produce the defect free CC slabs of Nb-containing austenitic stainless steel.

  • Displacement response is one of the important parameter to determine vibration characteristics of bridge structure. Reliable estimate of displacement response is obtained economically from integration of measured acceleration data in frequency domain. Proper sampling rate of frequency in discretization process of measured acceleration is proposed. Comparison of integrated and directly measured displacement response from laboratory experiment for a cantilever beam shows good agreement each other. Mode shape obtained from estimated displacement response also closely match with analytical result, thus the developed method is proved to be effective in practical use.

Bisphenol-A Removal in Conventional Water Treatment Systems (정수처리공정에서 bisphenol-A의 제거에 관한 연구)

  • This study was carried out to investigate influencing factors of bisphenol A(BPA) removal characteristic in conventional water treatment systems to be connected with coagulation, sedimentation, filtration and disinfection. The result are summarized as follows; In BPA removal, optimal doses of PAC, alum, ferric chloride were 7.5 mg Al/L, 10.0 mg AI/L, 15.0 mg Fek. PAC was most effective coagulant to remove BPA. In coagulation process, BPA removal efficiency were increased about 2% by adjusting pH of raw water as 6. At temperature rise 1$0^{\circ}C$, BPA removal efficiency were increased 0.94%. but BPA removal efficiency in sand filtration process were under 1 %ie, so that BPA was almost not removed. At free chlorine dose 1, 2 mg/L, the reaction rate constant k in the BPA removal have been calculated to be 0.397, 0.953 min$^{-1}$ . At free chlorine dose 1, 2 mg/1-, degradation reaction of BPA was completed during 10 min and BFA removal efficiencies were 97.66, 99.99% at this time.

  • This paper considers and suggests the life cycle of the power equipments installed in buildings. The target equipments were divided into 5 groups by a couple of conditions, and a theoretical consideration and domestic foreign case studies were carried out. As a result, the most appropriate life cycles and monitoring periods were suggested for each group. The suggested results are expected to practically help the field electricians determine whether they have to replace the deteriorated equipments or not.
