This paper describes the efficient peer-to-peer migration method of Grid service agent on the mobile agent based P-Grid. The migration mechanism for transmitting service agent upon the service request is based on the peer's logic network topology. The network topologies that this system uses are organized as star topology, ring topology and tree topology, and agents are migrated by the master/slave method and serial/parallel method. The migration method of services is chosen based on the execution range and characteristic of the requested service. Also, the entire execution time of service is affected by the performance of peer that is a part of network topology, and the migration order, Therefore, the system monitors the performance of peers, and determines the migration priority based on analyzing and learning history. The system can reduce service execution time efficiently with decisions of migration method for service agent and priority of peers.

The purpose of this study is to current status of library services for immigrants in Korea, where the number of immigrants reaches one million. To do this, the cases of library services for immigrants in North America and Europe were investigated and persons in charge who work in 10 public libraries and 5 private libraries serving immigrants in Korea were interviewed. Also, research articles, newspapers and related websites are utilized. Current status and limitations of library services for immigrants were discussed and some suggestions were presented.

Korea has experienced an increase in the number of immigrants in accordance with accelerated globalization. In particular, the rapid surge in international marriages and multicultural families has created social adaptation or inclusion problems for these families in Korean society. This paper examines how information services or technological education programs affect the social integration of marriage migrant women in Korea. Using survey data on international marriage migrant women, we conducted multiple and logistic regression models to examine the relationship between information and technology services and life satisfaction and employment status. The results show that the experience of using social services tends to have positive effects on life satisfaction. Having experiences of information services or technological education improves marriage migrant women's chances of employment and increases their willingness to work or start a business. This indicates the importance of information services or technological educational training and social services in improving social adaptation and integration of marriage migrant women in Korea.

본 연구의 목적은 결혼이주여성의 건강문제와 이들의 의료기관 이용 실태를 연구하여 의료경영정보시스템을 구축하기 위한 선수 연구에 그 목적이 있다. 연구에 이용된 자료는 2010년 1월 1일부터 12월 31일까지 원주의료원에서 진료한 289명의 원주지역 결혼이주여성의 진료기록을 통하여 조사된 것이며, 결혼이주여성의 일반적인 현황과 미충족 의료 수준을 파악하기 위해 통계청 통계포털자료와 2010년 원주시 통계연보를 활용하였다. 결혼이주여성의 의료서비스 이용은 소득수준과 밀접한 관련이 있으며 의료기관 이용 시 언어적 불편, 재정적 어려움, 가족의 지원 부족이 가장 많이 발생했다. 결혼이주여성의 진료지원 비율은 산부인과 진료비율이 가장 높은 24.3%, 내과 23.2%, 치과 7.9%로 나타났으며 결혼이주여성 자녀들의 소아청소년과 진료비율도 18.6%로 높은 진료비율을 나타났다. 본 연구는 결혼이주여성의 의료서비스 향상과 의료경영정보 시스템의 구축에 도움을 줄 것이다. 또한 이주여성의 건강권 보호를 위한 국가적, 지역적 차원의 노력에 도움이 될 것으로 사료된다.

"The IFLA Multicultural Library Manifesto" affirms that libraries should serve all members of the community without discrimination based on cultural and linguistic heritage; provide information in appropriate languages and scripts; and, give access to a broad range of materials and services reflecting all communities and needs. Public libraries in Korea currently are facing the challenge to adopt this IFLA manifesto as Korea is rapidly changing toward a multicultural society. In regard to these speculations, this study explores the experiences and major characteristics of public library services for multicultural population in Richmond, Canada. Based on the case study, this paper scrutinizes the current situation of public library services for multicultural immigrant population in Busan area, and develops several service agenda as they can be oriented to the new strategic plans of public libraries in Korea.

The research aims to investigate immigrants', librarians' and multicultural experts' information needs and perception on current multicultural services in Korean libraries, and to suggest the directions for providing multicultural library services. The research collected the data through conducting both in-depth interviews and focus group interviews with immigrants, librarians and multicultural experts. The research found the significant and emergent features on immigrants' and librarians' requests and perception about current library multicultural services. On the analysis of the findings, the research discussed the implications of the policies for library multicultural services and the alternatives to improve library multicultural services and librarians' multicultural competencies.

본 논문에서는 멀티 에이전트 모델에서의 정보 검색 서비스 지원에 있어 이동 에이전트의 이주 호스트(이하 노드) 자동 탐색, 이주 순위 결정 및 검색 적중률 분석을 통한 보다 정확한 정보 서비스 지원을 위해 메타 데이터를 이용한 네이밍 에이전트를 설계한다. 기존의 이동 에이전트 시스템에서는 이동 에이전트가 이주할 노드의 IP와 포트번호 또는 CORBA 구현 저장소에 등록된 구현 객체의 이름 등을 사용자가 직접 지정해주어야 함으로써, 이주 대상 노드에 대한 구현 객체 연결을 위해 물리적인 정보들을 반드시 알고 있어야 하는 단점이 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 각 네이밍 서비스별로 구현 객체 관련 정보들을 메타 데이터 테이블에 저장 및 관리하고, 사용자 입력 검색 키워드에 대한 해당 구현 객체의 객체 참조자를 반환하는 네이밍 에이전트를 설계한다. 설계된 네이밍 에이전트는 메타 데이터를 이용하여 정확한 정보 검색을 수행하기 위한 노드 이주를 지원하고, 이를 통해 다양한 사용자의 요구에 따른 정보 검색 정확도의 향상은 물론 이동 에이전트의 순회 검색 수행 시간의 단축 및 한정된 네트웍 환경에서의 트래픽 감소를 유도한다.

The diversification of Korean society with a large influx of migrant workers, international marriages, and international students calls for an attention to the importance of cultural competence of Library and Information Science sector in order to respond effectively and appropriately to the needs of immigrants who have diverse cultural backgrounds. In regard to these circumstances, this study is designed to develop the components of cultural competency needed by librarians. For this, this study collected its data through literatures review and interviews with librarians who are implementing services for immigrants in multicultural libraries and with experts who have experienced researches based multicultural services or involved with the management of multicultural families and migrant workers. As a result, the cultural competency components emerging from literatures review and interviews were divided into three parts ; multicultural attitude, multicultural knowledge and multicultural skills. And detailed components of three parts of cultural competency were specifically multicultural attitude, knowledge of multicultural groups, knowledge of multicultural services, development of collections, programs, and services, service delivery, language diversity, and professional education and workforce diversity.

The aim of this study was to identify the utilization of health services and factors influencing the quality of life(QOL) of migrant workers. The participants were 135 migrant workers in Korea. Data was collected from September 10th 2012 to November 15th 2012. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheff' test, and hierarchical multiple regression. Immigrant workers experienced difficulty in using health services and had a $14.25{\pm}2.01$ QOL, which was relatively low. The factors influencing QOL were the length of stay in Korea, residence areas, and satisfaction with health services. Final regression model accounted for 16.7% of the variance in QOL. The satisfaction level with health services was the most influential factors in the level of the QOL. Therefore, diverse strategies should be developed to enhance the satisfaction with health services in Korea migrant workers.

This study considers the availability, accessibility, and efficacy of social services for migrant workers. First, it examines migrant workers needs and how they choose to fulfill these. Second, this study grasps about how they can connect the social services and what constructive peculiarities social networks they have by using SNA(Social Network Analysis) it is revealed that migrant workers rely more on informal support groups such as family, friends, co-workers, etc. rather than formal support networks, e.g. those provided by the state. This tendency is demonstrated especially, Libraries as formal supporting organization have no connection related with other organizations. It shows that they have role limited as a supporter of giving information and knowledge in a public.
