  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the classification of the hierarchy in terms of centrality and the demarcation of shopping areas in the context of goods-purchasing activity in the Kyeong-ju si area (The old Kyeong-ju city and Wol-song Kyn). The basic data for this study include mail questionnaire materials and sources by the on-the-sport survey. The main results of this study are as follows. (1) When forty-two centers within the wide Kyeong-ju area are classified into hierarchies in terms of the functional index and the number of central functions, it is confirmed that there are five hierarchies or classes. Hierachy A is the City of Kyeong-ju. Hierarchy B is the Up of An-gang. Hierarchy Cis made up of three Up of Kam-p'o, Oe-dong and Kon-ch' on. Hierachy D consist of seven Myons and two Ris. Hierarchy E is composed of one Myon and twenty-seven Ris. (2) Hierarchy A has five proper functions of the center. Hierarchy B holds eleven of them. Hierarchy C takes forty-one. Hierarchy D cherish twenty-seven. And hierarchy E has three. Therefor Hierachies C and D have the most functions of all. The threshold populations of the lowest central function is fifty-eight of miscellaneous stores in the central place of Hierarchy E (3) The purchase distance of the central functions of a center becomes farther in the order of barbers' and beauty salons, dental clinics, TV and refrigerator shops, and furniture stores. (4) When the shopping areas are classified according to goods purchase activity, they can be divided into four: the Myon, small Up, big Up, and City areas. Each shopping area can be classified into two categories: the independent areas and compoung areas. The Kyeong-ju city area is the largest city shopping areas of Po-hang and Ull-san are very small.

• Pesticides are widely sprayed by the growers in street trees and planting areas which include urban forests, community forests and city parks to control pests. Spraying pesticides not only affect the people who sprayed but also affect the unspecified citizens who's are exposed to pesticides sprayed trees by contact or inhalation. A few studies have been conducted to measure the amount of pesticides in forest area but no studies have been conducted to measure the pesticide amount in tree in public living space. So, in our study, we investigated the amount of pesticides in cotton gloves, in leaf residue, and respiratory exposure for a certain period of time after applying Fenitrothion EC to Korean boxweed tree (Buxus Koreana) to know the safety time of pesticides after spraying. We found that, up to 4d, there was no significant difference of the amount of Fenitrothion on leaves. But the amount of pesticides on gloves was significantly higher on 1h ($510.1{\mu}g$) and 24h ($405.4{\mu}g$) than 48h ($45.0{\mu}g$) after spraying. The amount of pesticides on inhalation was also significantly higher in 1 h ($0.2{\mu}g$) and 24 h ($0.1{\mu}g$) than 48 h after spraying. After 48h, we did not find pesticides amount in inhalation. Thus, we was considered necessary to pay attention to 48h after spraying of pesticide Fenitrothion.

  • The purpose of this study was to research middle school students' interest and practice about the housing education contents in Technology and Home Economics Subject(classify them into three units, application of living space, indoor environment and equipments. support and repair of housing) in their real life. This was the investigation of which 529 middle school students have lived in Jeonbuk province, SPSS program was utilized to analyze percentage. mean and standard deviation. as well as t-test, One-Way ANOVA and Pearson's correlation coefficients. The results of this research were as follows: Middle school students' interest and practice of the housing education contents appeared to the middle level. Middle school students was consider that the order of interest parts of housing contents were indoor environment and equipments. application of living space, support and repair of housing. And the order of practice parts of housing contents were application of living space. indoor environment and equipments. support and repair of housing. There were significant differences in interest and practice of contents according to demographic variables such as sex, educational level of parents, social status of home. school record. Interest about the housing education contents had significant positive relationships with practices of contents of housing education. Therefore. it would be necessary to develop teaching materials and housing education contents promoting interest of students.

  • This study analyzes the correlation between noise and the size of urban forests. Under the assumption that the main cause of the noise m the city is the population density, the size of urban forests per capita and the ratio of urban forests with respect to the size of urban per 100 thousand persons are used for the calculation of correlations with noise. The results of the calculations of Pearson's and Spearman's correlation coefficients indicate that the increase in the size of urban forests has a significant effects in reducing the day-time as well as night-time noise for most regions in the cities. The size of urban forests within public parks has a significantly negative correlation with the noise. However, calculated correlation coefficients imply the increase in the size of total urban forests is more effective in reducing the noise than the increase in the urban forests in public parks.
