Sensor networks applications can be employed by a vast range of applications. Environmental information monitoring systems and ecosystem surveillance are representative application using sensor networks. But, limited battery capacity of sensor node is a key feature that determines lifetime of networks and system. It also affects quality of collected data. We recognized factors that affects lifetime of environment sensor nodes through the experiment of environment information system deployed over campus. We will show useful proposals for future construction of sensor network application systems.

In July 2021, UNCTAD classified Korea as a developed country. After the Korean War in the 1950s, economic development was promoted despite difficult conditions, resulting in epoch-making national growth. However, in order to respond to the rapidly changing global economy, it is necessary to continuously study the domestic industrial ecosystem and prepare strategies for continuous change and growth. This study analyzed the industrial ecosystem of the automobile industry where it is possible to obtain transaction data between companies by applying complexity spatial network analysis. For data, 295 corporate data(node data) and 607 transaction data (link data) were used. As a result of checking the spatial distribution by geocoding the address of the company, the automobile industry-related companies were concentrated in the Seoul metropolitan area and the Southeastern(Dongnam) region. The node importance was measured through degree centrality, betweenness centrality, closeness centrality, and eigenvector centrality, and the network structure was confirmed by identifying density, distance, community detection, and assortativity and disassortivity. As a result, among the automakers, Hyundai Motor, Kia Motors, and GM Korea were included in the top 15 in 4 indicators of node centrality. In terms of company location, companies located in the Seoul metropolitan area were included in the top 15. In terms of company size, most of the large companies with more than 1,000 employees were included in the top 15 for degree centrality and betweenness centrality. Regarding closeness centrality and eigenvector centrality, most of the companies with 500 or less employees were included in the top 15, except for automakers. In the structure of the network, the density was 0.01390522 and the average distance was 3.422481. As a result of community detection using the fast greedy algorithm, 11 communities were finally derived.
Network brings new values to the business in rapid changes of business paradigm. While business reveals new business model, the business has kept making efforts to replace traditional business model to network environment in order to solve the problems of spaces and times. In this research, we emphasize necessity through case study that the traditional concept of customer should be related with the concept of business network. The finding of this research mainly focused on business, tries to use traits of network without changes of business model, is easy to trap in structural inertia. However, the targeted companies in the case study preferentially considered customer as subscriber. Consequently, they successfully changed their existing business model as well as their business relationships with other companies. Based on methods of "Value Curve" and "Customer Experience Cycle," we analyzed the changed business model and proposed a conceptual idea regarding concept shifting from traditional customer to network subscriber. We hope that the research implicates to propose a new method for business model to develop more advanced business opportunities through using the concept of network subscriber.
The purpose of this research is to look upon the smartphone market from the perspective of business ecosystems and to extract the critical success factors of OS platforms. Furthermore, this research aims to verify the effect of those factors on increasing utility resulting from the rising number of users as well as on intention of use. In order to do this, OS compatibility and OS upgradability were presented as the major characteristics of OS platforms and a logical causal relationship between network effect and intention to use which shows the increase of utility according to the number of users was established which was then followed by an empirical analysis. The results of the research showed that OS compatibility and OS upgradability both had positive effects on network effect and intention to use. By presenting the characteristics of OS platforms, a subject which has lacked pervious empirical studies, and establishing a logical causal relationship for the role platform characteristics play in the formation of business ecosystem in the smartphone market, it is expected that the findings of this research will contribute greatly not only academically but also in practical applications.
This study aimed to understand the interrelationships between tree species in plant communities through Plant Social Network (PSN) analysis using a large amount of vegetation data surveyed in an island area belonging to a warm-temperate boreal forest. The Machilus thunbergii, Castanopsis sieboldii, and Ligustrum japonicum, which belong to the canopy layer, Pittosporum tobira and Ardisia japonica, which belong to the shrub layer and Trachelospermum asiaticum and Stauntonia hexaphylla, which belong to the vines, appearing in evergreen broad-leaved climax forest community, showed strong positive association(+) with each other. These tree species had a negative association or no friendly relationship with deciduous broad-leaved species due to the large difference in location environments. Divided into 4 group modularizations in the PSN sociogram, evergreen broad-leaved tree species in Group I and deciduous broad-leaved tree species in Group II showed high centrality and connectivity. It was analyzed that the arrangement of tree species (nodes) and the degree of connection (grouping) of the sociogram can indirectly estimate environmental factors and characteristics of plant communities like DCA. Tree species with high centrality and influence in the PSN included T. asiaticum, Eurya japonica, Lindera obtusiloba, and Styrax japonicus. These tree species are common with a wide range of ecological niches and appear to have the characteristics and survival strategies of opportunistic species that commonly appear in forest gaps and damaged areas. They will play a major role in inter-species interactions and structural and functional changes in plant communities. In the future, long-term research and in-depth discussions are needed to determine how these species actually influence plant community changes through interactions
This study conducted a hierarchy analysis based on a questionnaire survey of experts in park management, ecosystem survey, and ecological environment planning to establish evaluation items and a weighing value of each item to develop ecological connectivity in Baekdudaegan mountain range neighboring the Taebaeksan National Park using the AHP approach. We selected four high-level evaluation indexes and 13 low-level evaluation indexes through literature review and interview with the people in the field and calculated weights for each question through the consistency analysis. The analysis showed that increasing the ecological value was the most important item with the index of 0.474 among the high-level evaluation items, followed by the mitigation of human-nature conflict at 0.247, participation by local residents at 0.165, and the economic perspective at 0.114. Among the low-level evaluation indexes, the movement route of wildlife was the highest at 0.116, followed by the connectivity of landscape ecological patch at 0.112, and functional habitat at 0.099. The comparison of the evaluation items in each working group and the weight factors showed that the movement route of wildlife was the most important at 0.116 in ecosystem survey, the functional habitat was the most important at 0.110 in park management, and the regional preservation and distribution of resources was the most important at 0.123 in ecological environment planning. The results of this study is useful to identify evaluation items for developing ecological network with a diverse source of the actual environmental data in the Taebaeksan National Park.
The Bio-Inspired System focuses on the creation of an effective system model for massive network applications and is being widely developed. However, the system has a problem-difficulty implementing three features in the system, which includes scalability, adaptability and survivability. To solve this problem, we designed an Ecogent as a multiple intelligence agent, and a Bio-platform to address the three features of scalability, adaptability and survivability. The Bio-Inspired System Platform consists of an ERS (Ecogent Runtime Services) Platform and a Bio-Platform. The ERS platform serves the basic functions of mobile agents, such as Registration, Life Cycle, Migration, Communication, Location and Fault Tolerance. The Bio-Platform includes the functions of Evolution Control and Stigmergy Control to address evolution and adaptation.
An-yang stream is a branch stream connecting to Han river and regarded as a national stream. This study chose the representative stream of An-yang and identified vegetation and flora. The ecological survey aimed at identifying indicator of urban streams for measuring to protect urban areas and to promote wetland conservation. A total of 266 species were identified into 35 Orders, 78 Families. The introduced species of Sicyo angulatus need a special treatment to reduce the population. The wetland vegetation is quite various and we suggested 11 different vegetation zones depending on introduced species and amenity between human and nature, This will lead to blue-network to crease favorable environment and manage important species for this region.

The traditional broadcasting service has advanced into a smart media service with the help of communication network. in In the smart media ecosystem, a variety of innovative media services have been provided by new players. However, terrestrial broadcasting service companies seem to lag comparatively behind new players in spite of their powerful contents production capacity and stable terrestrial media delivery networks. In this paper, we design a proposed media platform based on a set-to-box (STB) with various new function for terrestrial ultra-high definition(UHD) broadcasting service. Also we suggest specific transmission network architecture and platform components for UHD broadcasting service. The proposed media platform is expected to increase the number of direct home reception and to enhance the right of the free-viewers which is one of the natural mission of terrestrial broadcasting company. Also it can provide some profit model of UHD terrestrial broadcasting service with new value-added services.
