Web Information Extraction and Multidimensional Analysis Using XML (XML을 이용한 웹 정보 추출 및 다차원 분석)

  • For analyzing a huge amount of web pages available in the Internet, we need to extract the encoded information in web pages. In this paper, we propose a method to extract and convert web information from web pages into XML documents for multidimensional analysis. For extracting information from web pages, we propose two languages: one for describing web information extraction rules based on the object-oriented model, and another for describing regular expressions of HTML tag patterns to search for target information. For multidimensional analysis on XML documents, we propose a method for constructing an XML warehouse and various XML cubes from it like the way we do for relational data. Finally, we show the validness of our method through the application to US patent web pages.

  • This paper proposes a transformation method of the zero moment point (ZMP) and the center of mass (CoM) from one walking pattern to other patterns by considering the structure of a robot or walking situations in real time. In general, a humanoid robot has own structure characteristics like height and mass. The structure characteristics make the given CoM/ZMP walking pattern of one human or one humanoid robot to be difficult to apply to other robot directly. For this purpose, we analyze the characteristics of walking patterns according to the step length, duration of walking support phase and the CoM height by using the cart-table model as the simple humanoid robot model. A transformation equation is derived from the analyzation and it is verified with simulation.

  • This paper presents methods to design an integrated system for supporting both multimedia contents creations and its presentation in a windows system. Especially, it describes methods for designing an integrated editor that can be used to crate and edit various media data including continuous media such as audio and video. And it also proposes a system model for systematically integrating multimedia creating tool with multimedia presentation system where the heeling and scenario-based presentation methods are included in the propose system for supporting effective multimedia presentation through a network Finally, we describe a threads processing technique based on event monitoring to satisfy effectively needs for presentation control, synchronization control, and user's input control during a multimedia presentation.

  • Test generation from the communication protocol specified in I/OFSM protocol is based on the asumption that the specification S and implemenataiton I are storngly, connected,minmal and deterministic.In this paper,we identify why these asumptions are necessary for minimal test cases genration from I/OFSM protocol speci-fication,and we propose a graph Rewriting System and its application to the specification I/OFSM for verifying its storng cinnectivity.We prove that the suggested algorithm is more dffcient thah the traditional strongly connected compoment find algorithm.

  • In the research of biomechanical engineering, robotics and neurophysiology, to clarify the mechanism of human bipedal walking is of major interest. It serves as a basis of developing several applications such as rehabilitation tools and humanoid robots. Nevertheless, because of complexity of the neuronal system that interacts with the body dynamics system to make walking movements, much is left unknown about the details of locomotion mechanism. Researchers were looking for the optimal model of the neuronal system by trials and errors. In this paper, we applied Genetic Programming to induce the model of the nervous system automatically and showed its effectiveness by simulating a human bipedal walking with the obtained model.

An Experimental Study on Rectangular Box Sloshing (박스형 모델에 의한 슬로싱 하중에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • This study presents experimental results of sloshing phenomenon done on rectangular box. A simple harmonic excitation was done on the box. Two kinds of filling ratio, 20% and 30% of height, were tested. A total of 15 pressure sensors were installed to monitor the impact pressure. Each test was repeated for 20 times to ensure the repeatability. The high speed camera captured the flaw filed and the corresponding pressure were synchronize with video signal so that the video image can help the interpretation of the impact pressure. The two filling ratio made difference in the flaw characteristic and impact pressure. The use of high speed camera made it possible to understand the bubble generation mechanism. The pressure time histories were presented.

Effects of Combustion Atmosphere Pressure on Non-premixed Counterflow Flame (비예혼합 대향류 화염에서 연소 분위기 압력 영향 연구)

  • The present study is numerically investigated the flame structure of non-premixed counterflow jet flames using the laminar flamelet model Detailed flame structures with the fuel composition of 40% CO, 30% $H_2$. 30% $N_2$ and an oxidizer composition of 79% $N_2$ and 21% $O_2$ in a non-premixed counterflow flame are studied numerically. This study is aimed to investigate the effects of axial velocity gradient and combustion atmosphere pressure on flame structure. The results show that the role of axial velocity gradient on combustion processes is globally opposite to that of combustion atmosphere pressure. That is, chemical nonequilibrium effects become dominant with increasing axial velocity gradient, but are suppressed with increasing ambient pressure. Also, the flame strength is globally weakened by the increase of axial velocity gradient but is augmented by the increase of ambient pressure. However, flame extinction is described better on the basis of only chemical reaction and in this study axial velocity gradient and ambient pressure play a similar role conceptually such that the increase of axial velocity gradient and ambient pressure cause flame not to be extinguished and extend the extinction limit, respectively. Consequently it is suggested that a combustion process like flame extinction is mainly influenced by the competition between the radical formation reaction and the third-body recombination reaction.

USN Directory Service For Mobile Sensor Node (모바일 센서 노드 지원을 위한 USN 디렉토리 서비스)

  • 다가올 유비쿼터스 시대를 선도할 기술 중 하나인 USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network)은 산업 전반에 커다란 변화를 가져올 것으로 기대된다. USN은 각종 센서 노드로부터 사물 및 환경 정보를 감지, 저장, 가공, 통합하고 상황인식 정보 및 지식 콘텐츠 생성을 통하여 언제, 어디서. 누구나 원하는 맞춤형 서비스를 자유로이 이용할 수 있는 첨단 지능형사회의 기반 인프라이다. USN과 더불어 이를 활용하기 위한 USN 어플리케이션의 개발들이 늘고 었으며 이에 USN 미들웨어의 필요성 또한 증가하고 있다. USN 디렉토리 서비스는 USN 미들웨어를 구성하는 핵심 서비스 중 하나이며, 지역적으로 분산된 USN 자원에 대한 정보를 관리하고 USN 자원에 대한 검색을 실시간으로 제공하는 서비스이다. USN 자원은 고정된 자원과 이동성을 지닌 자원으로 나눌 수 있다. 하지만 현재 이동성을 지닌 센서 노드(Mobile Sensor Node)를 지원할 수 있는 USN 디렉토리 서비스는 보이지 않고 있다. 본 논문은 이러한 Mobile Sensor Node의 특성을 지원하는 USN 디렉토리 서비스의 모델들을 제시하고 그에 대한 설계 및 구현을 논한다.

  • 스마트폰 사용자 수가 늘어남으로써 스마트폰으로 개인에 맞는 서비스를 제공하는 것은 중요한 연구 주제가 되었고 사용자 개인의 데이터를 이용하여 기호나 취향에 맞는 상품 및 서비스 제공에 대한 개발이 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 개인에게 적합한 서비스를 제공하기 위해 데이터를 수집하는 것, 정보를 추출하는 것 및 상황 행위에 대한 특정을 하고 사용자에 대한 로그(log)를 축적하고 분석하는 작업이 가장 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 안드로이드 환경 기반의 멀티모달 센서 및 문자/통화/사진/음악 이용 로그를 활용하여 라이프로그를 저장하고 사용자의 취향을 예측할 수 있는 시스템을 제안한다. 스마트폰의 향상된 성능, 추가된 다양한 기능에 따라 생성되는 방대한 양의 데이터들을 수집하고 상황인지, 행위인지 모듈을 통하여 사용자의 상황과 행위를 특정 짓는다. 결과 또는 키워드 들을 데이터와 함께 태깅하고 에피소드 형식으로 레코드를 체계적이고 정확하게 저장한다. 이러한 시스템을 이용해 저장된 라이프로그 및 개인맞춤형 정보화 모델은 개인 취향에 최적화된 서비스/상품 제공 연구에 활용 될 수 있도록 시스템 구현을 진행할 예정이다.
