  • In this study, it was carried out separation process research and development to be able to produce high-grade tungsten concentrate form tungsten taken form Mongolia. In order to reduce treatment cost and increase separation efficiency the jig separation at first was applied for recovering the concentrate. Which reground would make the degree of liberation increase. Which was treated by shaking table to reject the gangue minerals from the first concentrate. Because the heavier product contains not only ferberite but also cassiterite, the product was treated by further dry magnetic separation to obtain the ferberite concentrate. Finally, the high-grade ferberite concentrate of 67.63% $WO_3$ could be obtained with recovery of 86.07% through the separation process developed in this study.

  • It is internationally proposed that generic intervention levels (GILs) and generic action levels, determined based on cost-benefit analyses, be used as the decision criteria for public protective actions in a nuclear emergency. Operational intervention levels (OILs) are directly or easily measurable quantities corresponding to these generic levels. To assess the necessity of protective actions in a nuclear emergency, it is important that the environmental monitoring data required for applying and revising OILs should be promptly produced. It is discussed what and how to do for this task in the course of emergency response and preparedness.

  • This paper proposes a new methodology for the real-time on-line quality monitoring of biofuel processes through the integration of infrared spectroscopy and chemometrics. A method of Partial Least Squares (PLS) in Chemometrics is employed for quantitative analysis of key components in bioethanol products. After a number of preprocessing methods and variable importance in projection (VIP) are used, Savitzky-Golay method showed the best performance in terms of spectrum correction, noise reduction, and model maintenance. The proposed method allows us to economically forecast the concentration of multiple impurities encountered with the production of bioethanol. The proposed system is also accurate enough ($R^2$ > 0.99) to replace the laboratory analysis.

  • Component-based software development (CBSD) is a method for building large software system by integrating previously-existing software components. Software development method using components has several advantages such that reducing time to delivery and development costs, and increasing productivity etc. But integrating components developed from multiple vendors is too difficult As a result it is required the understanding on the context of use to develop reusable components. The context of use for software component of determined by software architecture. Therefore, it is possible to develop an application based on components if is based on software architecture. Also, it is essential to consider domain concepts for CBSD. To increase the reusability of components. we should develop components in a domain which is a set of related systems. In this paper, we proposed a domain architecture development methodology that supports component-based software development. Domain architecture that represents components and their relationship is produced through domain analysis and design process. We believe that component development methodology using proposed domain architecture can efficiently develop highly reusable components as well as easily develop and application using information acquired from domain architecture.

  • 수전해(electrochemical water splitting)는 연료전지의 가역적 역반응을 이용하여 물로부터 수소와 산소를 발생시키는 기술이다. 산소는 음극에서 발생하는데, 이 때 음극 표면은 고농도의 산소 음이온 및 라디칼에 장시간 노출된다. 때문에 기계적, 화학적 내구성이 우수한 전극재를 사용할 필요가 있다. 불용성 전극 (dimensionally stable anode, DSA)은 이러한 기술적 요구사항을 잘 만족하는 상용화 된 전극이다. 티타늄이나 티타늄 합금 표면에 촉매를 미량 반복 살포하여 산화물 형태의 매우 견고한 표면을 형성함으로서 내구성을 확보한다. 그러나, 보통 DSA 제조 기법의 특징에 따라 다공성 표면 구조를 사용하지는 않기 때문에 생산 과정이 복잡하고 비용이 많이 발생하는 문제를 여전히 나타내고 있다. 본 연구는 상기 문제를 개선하기 위한 수전해용 음극 제조 기술에 관한 연구이다. 티타늄과 티타늄 합금은 동일한 양극산화 기술 적용이 가능하다는 점을 이용하여 티타늄 기판으로부터 다공성 구조를 형성함으로써 바인더의 사용을 배제하였다. 단일공정양극산화기법 (single-step anodization)을 이용하여 $IrO_2$$RuO_2$를 도핑함으로써 TiO2에 촉매능을 부여하였다. 제조된 나노튜브들의 구조적 특징을 HR-TEM (High-resolution transmission electron microscope)과 FE-SEM (Field-emission scanning electron microscope)으로 분석하고 SAED (selective area electron diffraction) 패턴을 분석하여 전극재의 결정성을 확인하였다. 알칼라인 분위기에서 일으킨 산소발생반응 (oxygen evolution reaction, OER)의 LSV (linear sweep voltammetry) 결과를 XPS (X-ray photoelectron microscoscopy) 결과와 연관지어 촉매 표면 구조와 과전압의 관계를 해석하였다. LSV 결과로부터 Tafel 분석을 연달아 수행함으로써 전극의 속도결정단계를 정의하였다. 최종적으로 사이클 테스트 통하여 DSA로써의 성능을 평가하였다.

  • Many contents produced and provided as development of information technology on the internet. Especially discussion that collecting and storing of digital information resources, is expanded as growing dependence on academic information of research workers. Open Access is a new paradigm of information distribution that is opposite concept of high price distribution academic information. It is an OAI system that is intended to collect and automate open access data in good order. This paper constructs stOAI based on OAI that is a science and technology information providing system. This system provides international academic journal free of charge that collect and store through OAI protocol in OA(Open Access) of yesKISTI(science and technology information portal service). Also, It provides automate and centralize science technology information, that KISTI has, to external institution as a standard type.

  • In a nuclear emergency, protective actions for the public should be taken in time. It is internationally proposed that generic intervention levels (GILs) and generic action levels, determined based on cost-benefit analyses, be used as the decision criteria for protective actions. Operational intervention levels (OILs) are directly or easily measurable quantities corresponding to these generic levels. To assess the necessity of protective actions in a nuclear emergency, it is important that the environmental monitoring data required for applying and revising OILs should be promptly produced. It is discussed what and how to do for this task in the course of the emergency response. For an emergency environmental monitoring to be performed effectively, a thorough preparedness has to be made including maintenance of the organization and equipments, establishment of various procedure manuals, development of a supporting computer system and periodical training and exercises. It is pointed out that Korean legal provisions concerning GILs and OILs need to be amended or newly established.

  • 밖으로는 코펜하겐 사회개발(社會開發) 정상회의를 계기로, 안으로는 국민기대수준(國民期待水準)의 제고와 고도성장의 부작용(副作用)에 대한 성찰을 배경으로 신복지구상(新福祉構想)이 제기된 바 있다. 이는 인간성(人間性) 회복을 근간으로 한국 실정에 어울리는 생산적(生産的) 공동체적(共同體的) 복지정책(福祉政策)을 추진함으로써 국민생활의 안정에 우선을 두겠다는 정책의지의 결집이라고 요약된다. 신복지구상(新福祉構想)은 우리에게 발상의 전환과 새로운 패러다임의 제시를 요구하고 있다. 우리 국민은 고도성장(高度成長)의 부작용(副作用)으로 생활을 둘러싸고 있는 경제 사회적 환경이 열악하게 되어 안정적인 삶을 위협받고 있다. 특히 물질적(物質的)인 삶의 풍부함과 더불어 황금만능사상(黃金萬能思想)이 만연하여 인간경시경향(人間輕視傾向)이 두드러지고 있어 국민들은 안전하고 안정된 생활여건(生活與件)의 조성을 갈구하고 있는 것으로 풀이된다. 지금이야말로 대내외적(對內外的) 환경변화에 발맞추어 성장잠재력(成長潛在力) 확충을 지지하면서 계속적인 산업화(産業化)가 발생시킬 사회적(社會的) 비용(費用)을 줄일 수 있도록 적절한 복지정책(福祉政策) 대안(代案)의 개발이 요청되고 있다고 하겠다. 복지정책의 중점은 국민요구를 반영하여 삶의 질(質)향상을 위한 생활복지(生活福祉)로 모아져야 할 것이다. 대부분의 국민이 문화(文化)가 있고 건강(健康)하며 안정(安定)된 생활을 희구하고 있음에 비추어, 일상생활 속에서 복지증진을 체감(體感)할 수 있도록 지역사회를 단위로 특색 있는 정책이 전개되어야 할 것이다. 앞으로의 사회복지정책(社會福祉政策)은 전통적(傳統的) 사회보장제도(社會保障制度)와 서구적(西歐的) 사회보장제도(社會保障制度)의 조화, 경제성장과 사회복지의 균형, 정부, 민간 그리고 지역사회의 공조(共助)를 요구하고 있으며, 이와 관련하여 일본(日本)과 대만(臺灣)의 경험이 시사하는 것처럼 장기적인 시각(視角)에서 꾸준히 일관성 있게 공적지출(公的支出)을 늘려나가는 것이 중요하다고 판단된다. 그리하여 민간의 자발적(自發的) 참여를 유도함으로써 국민 모두의 삶의 질(質) 향상에 기여할 수 있을 것이며 결국 인간성(人間性) 고양을 통하여 국민화합이 달성될 수 있을 것이다.

The Effect of Insulating Material on WLCSP Reliability with Various Solder Ball Layout (솔더볼 배치에 따른 절연층 재료가 WLCSP 신뢰성에 미치는 영향)

  • A major failure mode for wafer level chip size package (WLCSP) is thermo-mechanical fatigue of solder joints. The mechanical strains and stresses generated by the coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) mismatch between the die and printed circuit board (PCB) are usually the driving force for fatigue crack initiation and propagation to failure. In a WLCSP process peripheral or central bond pads from the die are redistributed into an area away using an insulating polymer layer and a redistribution metal layer, and the insulating polymer layer affects solder joints reliability by absorption of stresses generated by CTE mismatch. In this study, several insulating polymer materials were applied to WLCSP to investigate the effect of insulating material. It was found that the effect of property of insulating material on WLCSP reliability was altered with a solder ball layout of package.

The Role of Water Utility Industry to the National Economy (수도사업의 국민경제적 역할분석)

  • In order to set public policy to overcome 'water crises' on both quantity and quality of water, we looked into the national-economic role of Korea water utility by two approaches. First, we examined the relationship between water consumption and economic growth during 1978-94, a period of rapid increase in water consumption caused by prompt industrialization and urbanization. The price and income elasticities of aggregate and sectoral demand for water were estimated. Second, we developed a static input-output(I-O) framework for analysing water issues in the short run. In addition, we discussed two topics in its application: i) sectoral failure(shortage) costs by supply-driven I-O model, ii) Leontief price model's sectoral pervasive effects of price due to rise in water rate. In conclusion, we found that investments to water sector and water shortage has a big influence on the standard of living and industrial production. Also we found that raising water rate to encourage conservation or to create investment funds decreases demand for water significantly but has a small influence on overall price levels.
