As the symbolic images of girls besides its definition have varied according to the age and society, a posthuman girl character recently appears in the digital cinema. This study aims to analyze its cinematic representations and the social contexts in which they are created. For this purpose, the study focuses on what extent the society allows its imagined figurations as a future female body and the meanings revolving around the image of 'technologically body-enhanced female fighter'. Current digital visualization technology has developed to the extent any imaged future humans can be represented, but posthuman girls' representations have its limitation that only a human-like figuration can be allowed in accord with the traditionally idolized image of girls. It is because of the representation logic in which digital cinema is visualized based on perceptual realism that values audiences' experiences. Despite such less critical figuration which does not dare to cross the boundary between the image of human and inhuman, the posthuman girl characters create a new category of the 'dangerous girls' who are both void of sexual femininity and independent of motherhood and heterosexual romance narrative. Of course, they support the modern human-centered belief that humans can take entire control of technology with their moral behaviors and dispel the fear about the negative impact the nature of technology may have on society at large by showing their child-like figuration protecting ethical values. However, the new character of 'unruly girl' exerts her subversive act that seeks to fight against the human-centered liberal humanistic values and melancholic feeling and vulnerability that the neoliberalism and technocracy enforce. When posthuman girl characters are considered to be a marker through which we can see how different social forces are intervening and competing each other in the upcoming posthuman age, the limited figuration of the posthuman girl characters in South Korean movies illustrates the opinionated thoughts toward the instrumentalism in technology but their bloodshed struggles reveal how the corporate or state-governed techno-biopower has oppressively treated and appropriated the human body as the technology-object and also provide a meaningful opportunity to rethink its unethical violence.

Antibiotic resistance is a serious problem to food safety as well as human healthcare. To avoid this, there are several approaches for a new class of antibiotic agents that target only production of virulence factors such as biofilm without bacterial growth defect. The objective of this study was to investigate the antibiofilm activity of tuberostemonine in Staphylococcus aureus. Tuberostemonine significantly reduced the biofilm formation (26.07-47.02%) in the crystal violet assay whereas there were no effect on S. aureus growth. The dispersion in preformed biofilm was also observed by confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM). Quantification real-time PCR revealed that the icaA and agrA expression having an important role in biofilm production of S. aureus were strongly affected with tuberostemonine. These results suggest that tuberostemonine has potential for controlling biofilm formation and dispersion by effect on virulence regulation of S. aureus.

마이크로어레이 (microarray) 기술이 개발된 후로 연관된 유전자 클러스터 (cluster)를 찾는 문제는 깊이 연구되어왔다. 이 문제는 핵심적인 과제 중 하나는 생물학적으로 타당한 클러스터의 수를 결정하는 데 있다. 본 논문은 최적의 클러스터 수를 결정하는 기준을 제시하고, non-negative factorization (NMF)를 이용해 클러스터 centroid의 패턴을 찾는 방법을 제안한다. NMF에 의해 발견된 각각의 패턴은 생물학적 프로세스의 특정 부분으로 해석될 수 있다. NMF는 factor matrix의 entity를 non-negative로 제약 (constraint)하고, 이 제약은 오직 additive combination만 허용하기 때문에 이러한 부분적인 패턴을 찾아낼 수 있다. NMF의 유용성은 이미지 분석과 텍스트 분석에서 이미 입증되어 있다. 본 논문에서 제안한 방법에 의해 위의패턴과 유사한 발현 패턴을 갖는 유전자를 모을 수 있었다. 제안된 방법은 human fibroblast데이터와 yeast cell cycle 데이터에 적용해 성능을 입증하였다.

[ $\ulcorner$ ]애프터서비스(A/S)는 제품판매후 단순히 잘못된 것을 수리해 주는 뒷처리사업이 아니라 새로운 영업의 시작이며 회사의 이미지를 만드는 일등공신입니다.$\lrcorner$ 가스보일러 제조업체에서 A/S업무를 책임지고 있는 한 관계자의 말이다. 현대는 서비스 경쟁의 시대다. 제품 및 새기술의 개발만큼이나 서비스분야가 중요하다는 의미다. 이에 따라 서비스사업 뿐만 아니라 제품제조업체도 $\ulcorner$친절$\lrcorner$, $\ulcorner$정확$\lrcorner$, $\ulcorner$신속$\lrcorner$ 이라는 3박자를 갖춘 A/S제도를 갖추는 것이 필수과제로 되어있다. 특히 가스보일러는 동절기 난방용으로 사용하는 제품이어서 신속$\cdot$정확이 생명이라고 할 수 있다. 또 가스보일러는 다른 전자제품과는 달리 제품의 고장이 CO중독 등 사고와 직결된다는 점에서 A/S의 중요성이 강조된다.

전 세계적으로 유통되고 있는 가짜의약품으로 인하여 제약사들은 판매수익과 기업브랜드 이미지에 큰 피해를 입고 있으며 가짜 의약품을 복용한 소비자들은 생명에 위협을 받고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 가짜의약품의 유통을 근절시키기 위하여 세계 각국에서는 의약품의 생산에서부터 소비자에게 판매될 때까지, 즉 의약품 유통과정을 추적하여 가시성있는 이력관리를 할 수 있도록 RFID 및 barcode 등 IT기반의 e-Pedigree(electronic pedigree)를 법제화시키고 있지만 구체적이고 실질적인 구축방법이 제시되지 못하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 국내 제약산업의 유통합리화와 소비자 안전성을 제고시키기 위하여 RFID 기반의e-Pedigree 적용방안을 제시하는데 그 목적이 있고 더 나아가 세계 각 국가의 e-Pedigree 구축을 위한 참조모델 개발에 일조하고자 한다.

1970년대 눈부신 경제발전을 이룬 한국은 고도의 경제성장을 통해 도시의 균형있는 발전을 이루게 되면서 경제선진국의 대열로 들어서게 되었다. 꾸준히 지속된 한국의 경제발전은 서울올림픽을 통해 정점을 이루었다. 이 결과 국민소득의 증가는 마이카 시대로 바뀌면서 도로 및 교량이 발달하게 되면서 외국 언론에서는 이를 "한강의 기적" 또는 "아시아의독일"이라 부르며 한국을 칭찬하였다. 그러나 1994년 10월 21일 아침에 일어난 성수대교 붕괴사고는 교각 10번과 교각 11번 사이의 현수경간 행거가 끊어지면서 경간의 48m가 붕괴되어 32명의 귀중한 생명을 빼앗음과 동시에 성장 한국의 이미지는 크게 훼손 되었다. 이에정부는 성수대교의 붕괴에 따라 기존 교량의 안전이 사회문제로 제기됨에 따라 1995년에 "시설물의 안전관리에 관한 특별법"을 제정하여 교량의 유지 및 안전관리에 일관되고 통일된 제도적 장치를 마련하였다. 이렇게 끔직한 사고가 발생한 성수대교의 붕괴원인은 트러스구조물의 철구조물 제작 및 용접과정에서 일어난 원천적인 부실시공과 준공 이후 설계하중을 초과한 과부하의 지속과 취약한 접합부위의 방치 등 관리 잘못이 복합적으로 작용해 일어난 것으로 밝혀지면서 우리사회의 부실관행에 경종을 울린 비극적인 사건이었으며 건설기술인에게는 반성의 계기로 교량 건설에 대한 새로운 신기술을 요구하게 되었다.

본 논문에서는 XNA Framework 기반의 모바일 게임을 설계하고 구현한다. 이 모바일 게임의 특징은 스토리, 이미지, 단계별 맵 클리어, 장애물 등의 4개 요소를 고려하여 개발한다. 바다에 등장하는 다양한 캐릭터를 사용하였으며 메인 캐릭터가 단계별 맵에서 주어진 아이템을 획득하면 해당 맵이 클리어 되고 다음 단계로 진행되도록 구현한다. 전통적인 게임, 흥미 외에도 메인 캐릭터가 경로를 찾는 방법과 게임에 생명을 주는 알고리즘을 구현한다.

단백질은 생명현상 유지에 필수적인 기능을 담당하며 이러한 기능이 단백질의 3차 구조에 의해 결정된다는 것이 밝혀짐으로써 단백질 3차 구조에 대한 연구가 더욱 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 단백질의 3차 구조를 파악할 수 있는 Java3D 기반의 단백질 구조 뷰어인 KPDBViewer에 대하여 기술한다. 개발된 KPDBViewer는 3차원 이미지 상에서 단백질 내 아미노산들의 이벤트 처리를 지원함으로써 단백질내 아미노산의 정보를 보다 효과적으로 파악할 수 있다 또한, Java2D 기반의 단백질 뷰어는 다양한 구조 보기 기능이 부족하다. 이와 같은 기능을 제공함으로써 단백질 구조 정보를 보다 쉽게 이해하는데 도움을 줄 것으로 기대한다.

This study aims to show a model of environmental planning towards sustainable science parks. For the purpose of this study, an analysis of the environment of green space at sustainable science parks as pertaining to environmental soundness, ecological stability and landscape aesthetics is applied as a case study to Osong Bio-Health Science Technopolis, a developmental promoted district. Considering the factors resulting from Habitat Agenda(II) and other preceding studies, this study derives fifteen elements of environmental planning for sustainable science parks. A questionnaire/survey was conducted with relation to these fifteen elements to officials who would be moved to Osong Bio-Health Science Technopolis. From this survey, it is shown that respondents have a strong awareness that for the sustainable environment of a science park, the park should preserve as much green space as possible, and that the park should be in harmony with the surrounding natural environment. The practice of forestation at sustainable science parks not only develops a healthy environment that promotes an image of green, but also promotes a stable ecological system. As such, this study suggests alternatives to environmental planning from the perspective of landscape ecology by assessing the project of developing Osong Bio-Health Science Technopolis. To continuously maintain landscape aesthetics, one needs to control the height of buildings, lest the forests should be hidden by the buildings.
