Image Retrieval using Local Color Histogram and Shape Feature (지역별 색상 분포 히스토그램과 모양 특징을 이용한 영상 검색)

  • This paper is proposed to image retrieval system using color and shape feature. Color feature used to four maximum value feature among the maximum value extracted from local color distribution histogram. The preprocessing of shape feature consist of edge extraction and weight central point extraction and angular sampling. The sum of distance from weight central point to contour and variation and max/min used to shape feature. The similarity is estimated compare feature of query image with the feature of images in database and the candidate of image is retrieved in order of similarity. We evaluate the effectiveness of shape feature and color feature in experiment used to two hundred of the closed image. The Recall and the Precision is each 0.72 and 0.53 in the result of average experiment. So the proposed method is presented useful method.

  • 3D registration is a computer vision technique of aligning multi-view range images with respect to a reference coordinate system. Various 3D registration algorithms have been introduced in the past few decades. Iterative Closest Point (ICP) is one of the widely used 3D registration algorithms, where various modifications are available nowadays. In the ICP-based algorithms, the closest points are considered as the corresponding points. However, this assumption fails to find matching points accurately when the initial pose between point clouds is not sufficiently close. In this paper, we propose a new method to solve this problem using the 6D distance (3D color space and 3D Euclidean distances). Moreover, a color segmentation-based adaptive sampling technique is used to reduce the computational time and improve the registration accuracy. Several experiments are performed to evaluate the proposed method. Experimental results show that the proposed method yields better performance compared to the conventional methods.

FE-CBIRS Using Color Distribution for Cut Retrieval in IPTV (IPTV에서 컷 검색을 위한 색 분포정보를 이용한 FE-CBIRS)

  • This paper proposes novel FE-CBIRS that finds best position of a cut to be retrieved based on color feature distribution in digital contents of IPTV. Conventional CBIRS have used a method that utilizes both color and shape information together to classify images, as well as a method that utilizes both feature information of the entire region and feature information of a partial region that is extracted by segmentation for searching. Also, in the algorithm, average, standard deviation and skewness values are used in case of color features for each hue, saturation and intensity values respectively. Furthermore, in case of using partial regions, only a few major colors are used and in case of shape features, the invariant moment is mainly used on the extracted partial regions. Due to these reasons, some problems have been issued in CBIRS in processing time and accuracy so far. Therefore, in order to tackle these problems, this paper proposes the FE-CBIRS that makes searching speed faster by classifying and indexing the extracted color information by each class and by using several cuts that are restricted in range as comparative images.

  • 본 논문에서는 깊이 정보를 이용하여 영상을 색상 분포가 각각 다른 객체 영상으로 분리하고 개별적으로 히스토그램 매칭 기법을 적용하는 조명 보상 기법을 제안한다. 서로 위치가 다른 다시점 카메라의 경우, 다시점 비디오 부호화(multi-view video coding)의 성능을 저하시키는 인접 시점 영상 간 조명 불일치 현상이 발생한다. 이러한 조명 불일치를 보상하기 위한 히스토그램 매칭(histogram matching)을 이용한 전처리 기법이 제안되었다. 모든 시점의 다시점 영상 히스토그램은 정해진 참조 시점 영상의 히스토그램으로 매칭되어 조명 불일치와 다시점 비디오 부호화의 성능을 개선할 수 있다. 하지만 일반적인 영상은 색상 분포와 깊이 정보가 상호 독립적인 객체들로 구성되어 있다. 또한 다시점 비디오는 시점에 따라 획득된 영상 간에 동일 객체의 위치와 깊이가 서로 달라 정해진 참조 시점의 히스토그램으로 매칭하는 기존의 방법은 적합하지 않다. 본 논문에서는 주어진 영상 내에서 깊이 정보를 이용하여 객체를 먼저 분리하고, 객체 영상별로 히스토그램 매칭 기법을 적용하여 색상 보상을 수행하는 새로운 기법을 제안한다. 실험을 통해 제안하는 객체 단위의 조명 보상 기법이 향상된 다시점 비디오 부호화 효율을 보이는 것을 확인하였다.

A Study of Mixing Characteristics for Cosmetic Pine Powder (화장품용 미분체 혼합공정에서의 분산특성 연구)

  • The cosmetic fine powders were mixed with variation of mixing time(5) in the mixers (ribbon mixer, powder mixer, micropulverizer and fine impact mill). The powders were nixed with small amount of ferric oxide. as tracer. The mixed powders ere measured the particle size distribution, specific surface area and surface color with mixing time (s). The color variation, particle size distribution and specific surface area of the mixed powder exist a relationship with mining time(s) that can be expressed as mathematical equations to show the degree of the mixing of the powder mixture. The linear velocity of the impellar tip is the main factor contributing to he mixing efficiency of the mixers un this study. According to the linear velocity, he mixers used are devieded as convection mixing (ribbon mixer), sclera mixing powder mixer) and diffusion mixing (micropulverizer/fine impact mill).

  • 이 연구에서는 색상 자질을 이용하여 이미지를 검색할 때 이미지를 분할하여 각 영역별로 색인하여 검색하는 것의 유용성을 알아보고 분할된 영역간의 유사도 산출 기법을 제안하였다. 실험결과, 질의 이미지의 특정 영역과 최대의 유사도를 갖는 검색 이미지의 영역을 이미지간 유사도 산출 방법으로 이용하고, 이미지 영역을 세분할수록 이미지 검색 성능이 향상되었다. 특히 검색 성능이 좋지 않은 질의 이미지의 경우, 이 연구에서 제안한 기법이 더욱 유용하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 최근 관심이 증가하고 있는 축구 경기 MPEG 비디오에서 정면이 변하는 부분을 검출하고 동일한 의미의 장면들을 분류하는 기술을 제안한다. MPEG 비디오에서 디코딩 과정을 거치지 않고 직접 에지(edge) 정보와 색상 분포 정보를 추출하여 적은 연산량으로 장면 전환 검출의 정확성을 높이고, 검출된 결과를 기반으로 샷(shot)을 특징 지울 수 있는 특정 색상들과 에지 정보를 이용해서 축구 MPEG 비디오내의 장면들을 내용적으로 분류한다. 제안한 방법은 카메라 움직임으로 발생하는 글러벌 모션의 변화에 대해서도 효과적으로 장면 전환을 검출하고 의미적으로 유사한 샷들에 대하여 장면 분류를 수행하는 결과를 확인하였다.

A Centroid-based Image Retrieval Scheme Using Centroid Situation Vector (Centroid 위치벡터를 이용한 영상 검색 기법)

  • An image contains various features such as color, shape, texture and location information. When only one of those features is used to retrieve an image, it is difficult to acquire satisfactory retrieval efficiency. Especially, in the database with huge capacity, such phenomenon happens frequently. Therefore, by using moi·e features, efficiency of the contents-based image retrieval (CBIR) system can be improved. This paper proposes a technique to consider location information about specific color as well as color information in image using centroid situation vector. Centroid situation vectors are calculated for specific color of the query image. Then, location similarity is determined through comparing distances between extracted centroid situation vectors of query image and target image in the database. Simulation results show that the proposed method is robust in zoom-in or zoom-out processed images and improves discrimination ability in fliped or rotated images. In addition, the suggested method reduced computational complexity by overlapping information extraction, and that improved the retrieval speed using an efficient index file.

  • In this paper, we propose an object tracking method using the color information of the image in surveillance network. This method perform a object detection using of adaptive color model. Object contour detection plays an important role in application such as object recognition. Experimental results demonstrate successful object detection over a wide range of object's variation in color and scale. In applications to detect an object in real time, when transmitting a large amount of image data it is possible to find the mode of a color distribution. The specific color of an object is modified at dynamically changing color in image. So, this algorithm detects the tracking area information of object within relevant tracking area and only tracking the movement of that object.Through experiments, we show that proposed method is more robust than other methods under certain ideal situations.
