Expertise Effects in Situation Awareness Sensitivity : Information Processing Approach (상황인식 민감도에 있어서의 전문성 효과 : 정보처리 접근법)

  • The role of memory is viewed as central to developing and maintaining flight situation awareness (SA). The present research examines constituent memory processes that underlie flight SA sensitivity as a function of pilot expertise. In Experiment 1, pilot memory for different forms (spatial or verbal) of cockpit situational information was tested immediately after presentation of the information (immediate recall) or after 30-s delay filled with an intervening task (delayed recall). In Experiment 2, pilot SA sensitivity was examined and correlated with memory measures obtained in Experiment 1. Results suggest that an expertise effect occurs in delayed recall but not in immediate recall and that memory representation of situational information required to develop high levels of SA sensitivity varies as a function of expertise. Theoretical accounts of results are discussed in the context of psychological theories of expertise.

  • In order to recognize a situation from a environment which provides an intelligent service, we propose state-transition based situation modeling which is suitable for a low computing power and restricted resources like embedded systems, and we designed its application to a situation-action converter(SAC)which is consist of two parts; situation detector recognized wanted situations and action generator generated various control actions. Then, we implemented a situation manager for smart scheduler service by using a SAC which is installed to a ARM processor based embedded Linux evaluation board.

  • Context-Awareness is a important technology to support optimized services automatically by recognizing various context informations in ubiquitous environments. Previous middlewares which supports ubiquitous environments used a centralized storage and DBMS to store and manage context informations and service contents. Centralized management of context informations and service contents sometimes hinders the autonomy of moving node and interoperability between difference middlewares. In this paper, we design the systems which stores context informations in moving node by distributed form and shares service contents between middlewares in distributed ubiquitous environments. And it provides Context-Aware scripts to supports the definition of context informations reasoning and execution of services. It verifies the usefulness of the designed systems by applying the scenario of music playing service based on context awareness

  • 최근 언제 어디서나 네트워크에 접속할 수 있고, 모든 사물이 네트워크로 연결되어 있는 편재형 (Ubiquitous) 컴퓨팅에 관한 연구가 활발히 진행 중이다. 편재형 컴퓨팅을 위해서는 사용자 주변의 상황을 감지하는 상황인식(Context Awareness)과 감지된 상황에 대해서 알맞은 서비스를 하기 위한 미들웨어가 필요하다. 또한 이러한 지능적인 서비스를 하기 위해 상황을 편리하게 표현할 수 있는 체계적인 언어가 필요하나, 이러한 언어에 대한 연구는 미흡한 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이러한 상황 인식 처리를 위한 상황 정의 스크립트 언어에 대해서 설계한다.

  • As context aware service supports a process of context acquisition and reasoning, there are many studies to facilitate the implementation of context aware service. However, these studies have not supported efficiently a user or service mobility that should be supported necessarily in ubiquitous computing environment. Therefore, this study proposes a dynamic context aware service model which supports a dynamic management of context information, service retrieval and composition for interactions between services, and service mobility. Then we design a middleware based on this model and implement the middleware. As the middleware is implemented on the OSGi framework. it can have an interoperability between the devices such as computers, PDA, home appliances, and sensors, because of using the standard interface technologies like UPnP. Jini and so on.

  • 본 논문은 기존의 위치기반정보와 시간정보를 고려하여 좀더 효율적인 상황인식 서비스 모델을 제안한다. 현재의 위치와 시간을 모두 고려하여 수집된 정보는 위치정보만 고려하는 상황인식 서비스보다 효율성 있는 서비스를 제공할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 위치정보 및 시간정보를 기반으로 주변정보를 수집하는 상황인식 서비스모델과 그에 기반한 시나리오를 구성했다. 마지막으로 본 문서에서 제안하는 상황인식 서비스기반 시스템 및 새로운 상황인식 서비스시스템과의 상호운용성을 고려하여 위치기반정보를 표현하는 문서를 XML 로 정의하였다.

  • 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에서는 상황을 인식하여 이에 적절한 서비스를 제공하는 상황 인식 어플리케이션이 요구된다. 그러나 상황 인식 서비스의 개발은 이질적인 유비쿼터스 환경의 특성에 기인하여 적절한 인프라의 지원 없이는 매우 복잡하고 시간이 많이 소요되는 작업이다. 본 논문에서는 이질적인 환경 하에서 상황 인식 어플리케이션을 개발할 수 있도록 하기 위해 OSGi 플랫폼과 시맨틱 웹 기술을 기반으로 한 상황 인식 서비스아키텍처를 제안하고 구현한다.

Development of Context Awareness and Service Reasoning Technique for Handicapped People (장애인을 위한 상황인식 및 서비스 추론기술 개발)

  • It is show that increasing of aged and handicapped people requires development of Ubiquitous computing technique to offer the specialized service for handicapped-people. For this, we need a development of Context Awareness and Service Reasoning Technique that the technique is supplied interaction between user and U-environment instead of the old unilateral relation. The old research of context awareness needed probabilistic presentation model like a Bayesian Network based on expert Systems for recognize given circumstance by a domain of uncertain real world. In this article, we define a domain of disorder activity assistant service application and context model based on ontology in diversified environment and minimized intervention of user and developer. By use this context model, we apply the structure learning of Bayesian Network and decide the service and activity to development of application service for handicapped people. Finally, we define the proper Conditional Probability Table of the structured Bayesian Network and if random situation is given to user, then present state variable of Activity and Service by given Causal relation of Bayesian Network based on Conditional Probability Table and it can be result of context awareness.

  • The Context-Aware system is the core technology in the Ubiquitous Computing Environment. Recently, the practical use of a sensor is magnified and the application fields of it are gradually extended in order to collect necessary context information. Context-Aware service integrates the context information which is collected by sensors, and then provides, a suitable service to a user through the process of analysis and reasoning. This service is studied in a variety of fields such as marketing, medical treatment, education and so on. In this paper, we analyze the method of recognizing surrounding context and the result of the awareness by using differential and structural property of multiple valued logic function; propose the model that provides appropriate service depending on the change of surrounding contort; confirm the applicability of the Context-aware system by showing the example of application.

  • 본 논문에서는 유비쿼터스 환경에서의 상황 인식 어플리케이션을 효과적으로 생성하는 도구를 소개한다. 개발된 생성도구는 일반적인 상황을 정의할 수 있는 상황 정보 스키마를 제공한다. 이를 이용하여 상황 변화에 따르는 복잡한 행위를 규칙으로 정의하고 추론 엔진을 이용하여 주어진 상황을 해결할 수 있다. 특히, 상황 인식 어플리케이션을 위한 소스코드를 자동으로 생성하여 제공하기 때문에 어플리케이션 개발과 배포에 용이하다.
