Peer evaluation is an evaluation centered on the student, through which interaction among students becomes active. The peer evaluation has a greater influence on students than a unilateral directions from the teacher has. This study aims to develop performance assessment models and tasks in which students participate using the remote responder in 4th grade social studies classrooms in the elementary school. It also aims to apply the developed models and tasks to class and to find out how they affect students' academic achievement and attitude. The student participation performance assessment using the remote responder appeared to bring a positive influence on social studies academic achievement and showed statistically significant results. The survey on the students' interests in using the remote responder and its effects conducted after the performance assessment showed positive results.

Social needs of smart work have been increasing throughout the worldwide and several developed countries have been developing enabled framework for smart work's coming proceed for a long time. This study aims to investigate the perception of pre-service early childhood teachers regarding play-oriented education through metaphorical analysis, in order to comprehend its meaning that pre-service early childhood teachers perceive. A questionnaire was used, which asked the participants to express play metaphorically and provide reasons for their choices. The collected data were analyzed using a systematic metaphorical analysis approach. The results revealed that the metaphorical expressions of pre-service early childhood teachers regarding play-oriented education were categorized as instructional methods being the most prominent, followed by environment, enjoyment/happiness, autonomy, growth and development, interactive relationships, child-directedness, the essence of life, interest, creativity, potential, variability, everyday life, ambiguity of beginnings and endings, naturalness, and others. Based on these findings, it is expected that one can attain insights regarding the methods of training pre-service early childhood teachers on how to implement play-centered education in the revised Nuri curriculum.

This study is to structurally examine the regional income disparity in Korea. It measures the regional income inducement by household consumption expenditure per unit income, and the regional interdependency of income using 2005 and 2015 Regional Input-Output Tables of 16 provincial regions of Korea. The results are as follows. Firstly, the income inducement by consumption expenditure per unit income decreased overall, mainly due to the decrease in the income inducement of other regions than due to that of their region. Secondly, in many regions, the inter-relational income dependency per unit income decreased also, this too, mainly due to the decrease in the income transfer to other region. And, the income inducement effects of consumption expenditure per unit income of Seoul and Gyeonggi, which occupy a large portion of the Korean economy, were lower than that of other regions, but took the largest portion of income inducements generated by other regions as well as by themselves and absorbed the income transfers from other regions the most. The higher income inducement and income absorption in Seoul and Gyeonggi by consumption expenditure of other regions were mainly because of the high share in service of their consumption structure, the progress in tertiarization of their industrial structure, and the high wage portion. These results also mean that viewed from the regional interdependency of income, the income of Seoul and that of Gyeonggi are highly dependent on the income of other regions. Especially, Gyeonggi which leads the overseas exports of high-tech based manufactured products, has other external factors that contribute to their high income inducement, whereas, Seoul which shows high income absorption using its inter-relations with other domestic regions based on the services, has an income-generating structure that is sensitive to other regions' economic situation. Amid overall declines in regional income inducements and in income transfers, and continuing concentrations into Seoul and Gyeonggi regions, to alleviate the regional disparity, the regional industry policies should, rather than benchmarking the policies of the two concentrated regions, enhance their own inter-regional relationships by strengthening the comparative advantage of their regionally specialized industry.

Industry-academy Collaboration alms to produce synergy-empowerment through co-opt between university and business within R&D and human resource management. The lack of indigenous R&D capabilities makes Korean small businesses not have sustainable competitive advantages. While the Korean government has increased the budgetary supports on small businesses since the late 1990s to enhance technological capabilities of small businesses, the competitiveness gap between large and small firms has been widened. The alternative for the government support is considered as active industry-academy collaboration. After exploring various policy measures for the collaboration with classifying them and pointing out their problems from a technological innovation perspective, this study shows the more expected roles of the collaboration to be a catalyst coordinating the R&D activities among the local small businesses, local universities, and public research institutes. Based upon the analyses, this study suggests several policy alternatives to facilitate the technological innovations of small businesses in the regional innovation clusters.

This study aimed to assess the feasibility and impact of a 5-week parent-led home-based music program for parents of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The program aimed to enhance the parents' sense of competence and their relationships with their child. Each week for 5 weeks, 10 parents of 10 children with ASD (aged 3 to 9 years) received weekly 30-minute personalized lessons on how to implement the home-based music program and implemented the educated music program at home with activities involving receptive and active engagement. On average, the parents conducted the music program 2.5 times a week for about 9.2 minutes per session. At the end of the 5 weeks, parents reported increased comfort and effectiveness in interacting with their child through music. In addition, positive changes were noted on the Parenting Sense of Competence Scale and the closeness aspect of the parent-child relationship. Participants affirmed the program's feasibility, emphasizing its potential for supporting families with children with ASD. These results provide foundational data for future home-based music activities and programs, emphasizing the importance of tailoring interventions to the unique needs of families with children with ASD.

In this study, we investigated how science teachers perceive the changes in school systems, including infrastructure and curriculum, in the context of preparing for future education. And the changes in their perception of the educational environment, the challenges, and changes of science teachers' classroom practices were also explored. In-depth interviews and analysis were conducted with two science teachers in a middle school that is trying to innovative on changes compared with general schools. The results of the study are as follows: First, teachers perceived that their schools had factors that could change the science class in terms of school size and infrastructure, peer teacher culture, and students' abilities. Second, the enthusiasm of teachers who are trying various ways of teaching and the students' ability to adapt in a smart learning environment formed a synergistic circle that lowered entry barriers to trying changes. Third, science classes changed to activity-centered classes, and teachers realized that these changes promoted students' self-directed learning. Fourth, teachers perceived themselves as playing an independent role in curriculum management, and this perception promoted more varied attempts in improving their classes. Through the changes of the learning environment and systems of the school and the formation of a culture that shares their challenges and innovations with the voluntary learning community, teachers constantly try to change their classes and schools. The changes of school need to be understood in the context of the interaction of teachers, students, and infrastructure.

Whether to reduce the current 'screen quota' for domestic films in conjunction with the FTA discussions between Korea and the United States is one of the hotly debated issues in Korea. Using Toulmin's Argumentation Model, this study attempts to trace the use of data and warrants for each pro and con claims as portrayed in newspaper editorial columns and to find its rhetorical significance. A total of 67 editorial columns were collected from 9 nationwide news dailies in Korea for the purpose. The rhetorical analysis of those articles showed that the major warrants used in each pro and con opinion were absent of the potential issues of the opponents, which inherently fails to invite rebuttals from the opposite sides. This conceptual wall in each argumentation models implies an inactive conversation and subsequent absence of clash between the pro and con argumentation fields. It is thus suggested for opinion writers to find more adequate evidences to support the data and warrants to hold persuasive power of their respective claims, ultimately to enhance the public discourse among citizens.

This study investigated how Korean image and cosmetics products image effect by the Korean Wave(Hanllyu) on the Vietnam Customer focus on the cosmetics. Especially, Korean Wave of this study consisted in the movie/drama, K-pop and Korean stars. Korean image and cosmetics brand image was effected by factors related to the Korean Wave which had been deducted, based on preceeding research. A study was conduct in Vietnam where the spread of the Korean Wave content customer bases has been over along time. A total of 295 samples were used for th final analysis. Data analysis consisted of descriptive statistics, Cronbach's alpha, a confirmatory factor analysis, and multi-regression. It is also found that Korean image and cosmetics brand image has affect by Korean Wave. and Cosmetics purchasing intention has affect Korean image and cosmetics brand image.

Understanding the cultures of other countries is not as fast as the speed of internationalization. As globalization advances, interest and research on the characteristics of national culture differences have been increasing. One of the important challenges for business leaders is the ability to understand and deal with cross-cultural management. But there is a lack of research on cross-cultural management and suitable type of leadership. In order to achieve this objective, this study, adopts Hofstede cultural dimensions, and finds the impact of these kinds of leadership on organizational performance. Feminism, collectivism, power distance, and uncertainty avoidance were classified into four factors of cultural orientation that affect the selection of initiating structure and consideration leadership. In this research, among virtue factors of leadership, structure initiation and leadership consideration are focused on how to affect organizational effectiveness of the result factor by national culture. This research has concentrated on how leadership-styles among national-cultures have influence on organizational-effectiveness.
