  • Many countries have run their own certification systems in order to reduce the environmental loads from buildings. Domestically, various systems are applied according to building types from Building Energy Efficiency Rating System since 2001 to Green Home Construction Standard and Performance since 2009. However, these systems provide the applicants with confusion and waste by exposing them to several systems simultaneously, some of which are mandatory. Therefore, this study aims to ensure the flexibility among those systems and eliminate the possible waste by suggesting mutual accreditation method of evaluation results. To achieve this purpose, firstly, the thirteen similar evaluation items are identified between Housing Performance Grading Indication System and Green Building Rating System. Then, the mutual accreditation method is developed by comparing detailed evaluation criteria and credits for those thirteen items.

Recognition Saves a Space where Invisible, Inaudible, and Unwritable - Another Reason for Geography as Humanities - (인정, 보이지 않고, 들리지 않고, 쓰여지지 않은 공간을 발견하다: 지리학이 인문학인 또 다른 이유)

  • The present paper discusses the relationship between human being and space through 'recognition.' Recognition is the natural desire of human being. Every human being wants to be recognized for what they do in everywhere. Human being enhances their own identity and fight for the raison d'etre to be recognized by others. Hegel's recognition is grounded by a process of mutual recognition based on the subject-object view of human beings. On the other hand, the recognition based on inter-subjectivity is founded by the view of human beings emphasizing "we" on the basis of the relationship between you and I. These two meanings of recognition make it possible to newly recognize the relationship between human beings and space. In the paper, I emphasize the role of geography about the invisible space over the geographical recognition regarding the visible space dealing in previously geography. I expect to be recovered the nature of geography by revealing the invisible space. Also, the geographical discovery is presented about two spaces including inaudible space and unwritable space but having story via '$\acute{e}$criture blanche.' In terms of the discovery, I criticize irrationalities and discrepancies of our society and suggest ways of solving problems. The goal of the discussion is to support the overcoming of the immediate geography crisis as well as communicate with the world as humanity.

  • In 2017, the EU-Japan FTA talks were resumed ahead of the G20 summit in Brussels, Belgium, and agreed to abolish tariffs on 95% of all trade items. These figures are highly liberalized agreements that are equivalent to the Pacific Rim Economic Partnership Agreement (TPP). Particularly, Japanese automobiles were aggressively negotiating the abolition of tariffs with 7-year grace period and the gradual elimination of European cheese in 15 years. If the agreement is concluded, the tariffs of 1 billion euros (about 1.3 trillion won) will disappear, and Korea, which has similar industrial structure with Japan, will be hit by the processed food, chemical products, medical equipment, dairy products and automobile industries. do. The purpose of this study is to examine the mutual recognition agreement (MRA) that can directly affect the Korean companies in the content of the Japan-EU FTA and to suggest the implications for the Korean export companies.

  • Self-and reciprocal-graftings were made between soybean varieties(cv.Hwangkeumkong, Paldalkong, Bokwangkong and Jangkyongkong) to assertain the relative role of shoot and root in soybean growth and yield determination. The influence of grafting per se on plant height and leaf number on main stem were negligible as evidenced by the insignificant differences between self-and reciprocal-graftings. The effect of grafting on flowering was different between different set of varieties grafted reciprocally. Self grafting delayed flowering 2 days and reciprocal grafting delayed another 2 days, in general. The effects of grafting on dry weights of different plant parts except pod were also insignificant. Reciprocal grafting increased pod dry weight in Hwangkeumkong and Paldalkong regardless whether they were used as scion or stock. Reciporcal grafting also influenced dry weights of Bokwangkong and Jangkyongkong significantly, but the response was different from those of Hwangkeumkong or Paldalkong. Jangkyongkong, when used as stock, decreased total dry weight of Bokwangkong significantly through the reduction of pod and stem dry weights. Stem diameter was increased by grafting, however, grafting decreased number of branches in all varieties. The average yields of self-and reciprocal-grafting were decreased by 11% and 24%, respectively, comparing to that of non-grafting, while average yield of reciprocal grafting was 14% lower than that of self grafting. Stem weight of grafted soybeans was decreased by 29-32% comparing to that of non-grafted soybeans, but the difference between self and reciprocal graftings was negligible. The genetic characteristics of scion was found to be more important than those of stock in determination of yield and stem weight. It was also indicated that varieties and characteristics are different in response to grafting.
